  1. Good point, Heat. I'd much rather he get these flashes more and more frequently, with each of them lasting a little longer, until he finally has enough info to maybe ask Patrick if his previous surgery looks like Jason's or something, and then when it's confirmed, to have everything come flooding back. There is potential for Jadon to have a lot of conflicting and interesting stuff going on. I may kick myself later for saying this, but I think this Billy fella may have the chops to pull it off. And honestly, I'm sort of looking forward to whirling dervish Carly. Not looking forward to sputtering Sonny, though.
  2. I'm too lazy to do the math, but Survivor filming will definitely be over before the end of the season so I think we can be sure about a Probst takeover. And I think we can be *mostly* sure about a hidden immunity idol or some such foolishness. I will wait to see who gets it before I decide how I feel about it (yes, I am all for the rigging when it helps my faves, I admit it; not proud of it, but there it is). Vanessa has been a whackadoodle lately, and I think part of it really might just be what the house seems to do to everyone. But I think part of it might be that she's turning a known weakness in to a strength- she knows she has a tendency to talk too much and so she is talking waaaaay too much, just flooding them all with information and details and repetition, on purpose. The more she talks, the harder it is for them to suss out nuances or details, especially when her listeners try to retell it. They start tuning it out and can't really remember *what* the hell she just told them. Not the worst strategy- if you put your foot in your mouth, it's often better to just keep on talking and hope the flub gets lost in the mix. But she's also clearly a loon. ETA: suss, not Seuss. But thanks for the laugh, autocorrect.
  3. I was only paying half attention, but I think they heard Luke coming in and ran upstairs to pretend to have slept together. I have nothing on which to base that, though. I fully support the return of Dead Baby Jake because it made no sense that they killed him, but even more because I'm tired of hearing about how sad Liz is about his death. It obviously could have been done better (some of y'all should write for this show, I swear), but I think it sets up a potentially interesting story. It seems like we're getting closer to Jakeson figuring out who he really is (a couple of those anvils almost hit me square on the head), and him being with Liz and his son Jake, who Jakeson will have been spending time with and getting to know, when he gets his memories back should really complicate things. We have no idea how much of his memory he'll get back, but obviously his personality has changed regardless. If he gets his whole memory back, he'll remember loving / still love Sam and Danny but will currently be loving Liz again as well as really getting to know Jake for the first time. Maybe the new Jason (new, new Jason?) doesn't want want to go back to being dangerous Jason; maybe he likes being happy and safe and not watching his loved ones get shot down in front of him. Maybe he resents Sonny and Carly for dragging him down into the gutter with them. Crazier things have happened, like a dead baby with no kidneys coming back to life!! I think there's a lot of good story to be told there, and I'm staying optimistic about it. Cautiously optimistic. Veeerrrrrry cautiously optimistic. Anyway, I'm glad little Jake is back and I'm willing to forgive the ham-fisted way it was done, especially in light of the timing issues with TG, JJ, and GF. I also sort of like what they did with Lucky and Nik. Lucky's feelings are a little nuts but he's always been this overly emotional and misguidedly earnest guy and so I can accept his "I'm a great dad as long as I don't have to be around my kids" thing. Not that I believe it, mind you, but I can accept him thing himself into believing it. And Nik played on Lucky's feelings perfectly albeit cruelly. And I like mean Nik. I'm feeling so cheery that I'm going to ignore everything Sonny and Carly related.
  4. Weirdly, going back to what I said yesterday about who I think we've been shown Dante is, him thinking he wants more sort of makes sense to me. He's the kind of guy who, if he cheated, might really want to believe it was for "something" instead of it just being some drunken angry hookup. If he and Valerie have actual feelings for each other then maybe he's not such a terrible guy, in hoe eyes. That said, I really would have expected Dante to be overcome with remorse, say goodbye to Valerie as gently yet quickly as he could, and then strip the sheets and erase all evidence of her ever having been there. Not in a duplicitous way, just in a "it never happened, what have I done, don't want to ever think about it so I can just pretend it didn't happen" sort of way. What I don't think Dante would do is what we saw today.
  5. When I first realized Jake was alive, I did some serious eye rolling. After further contemplation, however, I am fully onboard. It was a terrible story, and it was terribly executed. I'm happy to undo it. Other than Joss's organs, there were no permanent consequences; it certainly didn't affect Luke in any meaningful way. And I'm sure Joss is just stuffed with corn anyway. I can believe that Dante might cheat, because I think a lot of people, and especially a lot of soap characters, are capable of it. I cannot believe that would cheat after TWO DAYS. Maybe three? Port Charles tome, hasn't it been only a week or so since Maxie went after Valerie at the police station? A man who has been shown consistently to be a committed family man who deeply loves and adores his wife, and has never even been tempted, doesn't give up on that marriage and jump in bed with someone else in under 48 hours. Yet again, a great opportunity for a slow burn has been totally wasted. Yet we had approximately three millennia of (pointless and nonsensical) Legion of Doom / NotDID! buildup. #StillMad
  6. I think Vanessa's point was that it wouldn't look good to put a guy up right after all that hullabaloo about a secret girls' alliance, not that she just didn't want to put a guy up. She didn't want to raise suspicions again so soon. Plus, Liz is a good choice strategically- everyone likes her, she's not seen as a big threat, and so she's unlikely to cause the house to flip and might even result in a unanimous vote. Anyone else on the block might get people thinking, and Shelli/ Clay really want Da' gone. I hate that they're saving Audrey this week because the feeds would be on fire if Da' and Audrey were both up. John told Steve this morning that he *didn't* throw BoB because he had a bad feeling going into it. Apparently Da' just was not that great in the comp. But who knows- John could just be covering himself from all angles and letting some people think he did throw it while telling the other alliance that he didn't. It's impossible to know if he's that duplicitous because the kid is inscrutable. Becky really impressed me with her talk to Liz last night, telling her that she needs to stay calm and take her emotions out of it, let all the attention stay on Da'. Becky even told her she was just suffering the "shock of the block," which I thought was a great expression for it. So many people have lost their shit from that shock.
  7. Y'all know how I feel about Sonny, and how I feel about Carly when she's near Sonny. But I laughed my ass off when Sonny was all "Let it go, Carly" and she knee-jerk replied "How long have you known me?" Because, yes. Girl has never let anything go in her life, in all the iterations of her. And Sonny thinking she would let this go, even if it's about her family that she mostly doesn't bother with, is ridiculous. I liked the moment. I hate Carly being the one to figure out something hinky is up with Lulu, but it kind of makes sense. Carly is generally duplicitous and so it's not surprising that she would suspect someone's motives. But Carly also knows that Lulu isn't like Carly and so Lulu supposedly running off with Dillion would make Carly suspect. This whole thing is such a better story if Dante and Valerie are playing with fire instead of actually burning themselves. How absolutely exciting and riveting that Luke is going out on a Frank Smith story. Really, I mean that. Totally serious. Not being sarcastic at all.
  8. I don't know how to feel about the Kathy Griffin twist. I think three votes is a lot, unless the house stays near-unanimous, and it potentially gives one person way too much power. But it also has the potential to create even more drama. I just don't know. I think my feelings will depend on who gets the power (yes, I admit it, I'm a huge hypocrite with double standards). I have no idea why Becky and Shelli will do, and that's kind of fascinating.
  9. I just can't believe that Dante didn't at least leave a voicemail or send an email saying "I saw the hotel room, I know you're cheating with Dillion" or something. It doesn't seem at all like him to just not say anything to her. She could get the message right before getting captured or something, add to the drama a little. The way they're telling this story makes Dante look bad, and that makes him unsympathetic. Not that I spend a lot of time thinking about these sort of things, but if I was ever pulling someone off a pressure bomb, I'd pull them toward the door not shove us both into a far corner of the room.
  10. I really enjoyed the talent comp. I don't even know who I am anymore. I literally laughed out loud, and I am so ashamed. But I like this cast. They actually know about the game, they're not horrible people, and they have some fun. Tonight was a blast to watch. I'm maybe actually enjoying watching this instead of hate watching it?
  11. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I just now realized how big Austin is. Tall, buff- he's just a really big guy. Clay is a decent sized guy yet looks small next to Austin. Jason and John next to him are comical. James Is a Honey, I Shrunk the Kids situation.
  12. Such a great point. I think that is where a lot of my rage comes from, this sense that Sonny really is a good guy somehow. I much prefer a real villain who also has some actual human connections. More realistic and less make-Turtle-homicidal-y.
  13. HOH has to be something intense because the "beefcakes" have been working outside for a really long time and making a lot of noise. Speaking of the beefcakes, I adore this cast for constantly talking about production, and for figuring out that the monitors are generally zoned out but listening for key words like "diary room" or "production" or whatever and so instead they try using code words like "journal." Sure, the fish-button guys won't be fooled for long but it's been hilarious how much these people talk about production stuff. Also hilarious how much they just don't GAF. I'm weirdly excited for the prom and I don't even know why. I've had a blast with all the game drama the last few days, but I've also really enjoyed all the fun stuff of today. Audrey still won't stop talking game for even a minute and James is still creepy as all get-out, but for the most part these people are fun. ETA: about Steve- his plan to improve his social skills is kind of working. He's fitting into conversations a little more naturally, he hugged Liz earlier, he had some great jokes today, and now he's looking and feeling great for prom. Is he awkward? Hell yes. Is he watching and trying to learn from the social behavior of everyone else? Also hell yes. I've seen a few times today where he's stopped himself from answering the question he just asked or quit using that interrogation-like way of asking people about themselves. Different from even a couple of days ago. Plus, MAKEOVER!!
  14. I'm guessing editing thinks casual viewers won't notice / care about that the conversation happened in the second BB room. Until I started reading forums and watching feeds, I might not have noticed. Plus, it's got to be tough to edit it all down coherently, especially at the beginning when there are so many people and the audience doesn't really have a sense of anyone yet. So glad Steve won veto! And really glad it was the type of comp they'd "expect" him to win. Had he lucked in to winning a physical comp, it would have drawn some unwanted attention. But spelling trombonist fits right into their preconceived notions of him. Not saying he would have won a physical challenge, just that it's better that it was a spelling challenge.
  15. People, if drinks and steaks are being had, I damn well better be included. Re: Sonny v. Franco- I definitely won't argue facts or merits of my position that Sonny is so much worse. In a rare move for an Internet commenter, I'm going to admit that my inherent bias against Sonny blinds me to the possibility that anyone is worse than him. Even Franco, who I know is horrible. I just hate Sonny soooooo much. Even when he's being adorable with babies, I am filled with rage.
  16. Is Sonny Dear Prudence all of a sudden? Why is everyone telling him their relationship issues? And has Sonny forgotten that Carly, who now lives with that baby, almost married "a freak like that"? And that he himself has killed or been responsible for killing way more people than Franco has? Was Sam's "you're not acting like Nikolas" some horrible clue that now Nik has DID or an evil twin or something? Because, god, please please please no. Lulu and Dillion: once you're all outside the place where hostages are being held, it no longer matters who the hostage takers are or are not expecting. Besides, whoever took the guys does actually know that Lulu and Dillion know, don't they? Doesn't matter, the whole farce is so dumb I really need to stop trying to make sense of it. I'm going to laugh hysterically if Michael is the one to figure out that Jake is Jason and then just burns Nik and Liz to the ground. Still going to be really pissed about him returning that baby like he would a ill-fitting sweater, though.
  17. I think the way Jace went after Steve was horrible, but I also think it's not out of line for BB antics. People get attacked pretty regularly. Steve handled it well albeit differently than I or probably most others would have. Steve is a grown man who knew what he was getting into when he signed up and has even said that improving his social skills was a main objective for signing up. I'm not at all defending Jace, just saying that I think Steve is not as fragile as we may think, and he has absolutely studied up on the game and probably wouldn't have been surprised to be on the receiving end of some hateful shit. That said, it does pain me to watch everyone walk away when he walks up to a group and was definitely terrible to watch that Jace conversation. But overall, Steve seemed to hold up under it better than others have under similar attacks. Hell, Audrey has been absolutely falling apart since being called a liar and she hasn't even been ostracized quite as much.
  18. There's a BB subreddit that has been really active, lots of people watching posting updates. It's a lot to keep up with, though, because it's moving pretty fast with all this insanity. I think Steve saw right through Jace's bullying and knew that Steve's refusal to meaningfully engage in the conversation was making Jace just spiral more and more. Sadly, I suspect that Steve has been on the receiving end of other similar attacks. Weirdly, though, it kind of seemed like Jace was acting (not well) during most of it, which just makes no sense whatsoever, but it also seemed that Steve knew Jace was full of shit. And at the end of the conversation, Steve made sure to clarify that all he was promising was that he wouldn't tell people about their conversation. That told me that Jace's attack didn't take Steve's head out of the game, although I'm sure it hurt Steve to hear all of that. John has been intentionally staying out of the drama, avoiding Jace and Audrey especially. His "floating" seems to be a conscious strategy choice at this point, and I can't disagree with it. With all this insanity going on, and all the alliance switching and rumor spreading, it'd be way too easy to accidentally talk yourself into trouble. If you're a likeable easygoing fellow, low profile is probably pretty smart. Steve has also tried to stay out of the way because he doesn't me the drama, and I think that's a smart move for him too- it'd be especially easy for folks to turn their ire on him. Becky seems to be a little more involved, but not by much. At this point, I don't even know who is really allied with whom, or who might actually be thinking about savingJace versus blowing smoke. It's just too much to keep up, and if tomorrow night's vote is close, absolute pandemonium will ensue.
  19. Yeah, I amend my statement to say the flip may have a shot. A reeaaaallllyyy long shot, but possibly a shot. Two days is still a pretty long time, especially with these people. Although, I also thought they'd never be able to stick to the plan to backdoor Jace, so what do I know? I am really not a fan of Vanessa's pants.
  20. The last 24 hours have been insane! Some of these people are really spiraling out of control and very few of them have been able to stay out of the drama. John, Becky, Steve, Jackie- everyone else is in it up to their eyeballs. Jace has even tried to piggyback off the Audrey drama by claiming it's her fault he's on the block(thinking this will save him, I guess?). Earlier Jason just replied to that nonsense with "You'll be leaving a hero." Hilarious. I don't think Jeff will have a huge target on him, yet, because everyone seems to really like him. This early on, with so many targets, I think a bunch of these HGs will be inclined to vote out the less like able or more annoying targets first, like Jace. I am not at all sure or even hopeful that Audrey leaves next week. I wouldn't put it past production to save her, even though Jason has already been calling them out on it, but I also think there is just so much time between now and now next Thursday. These people are volatile and unpredictable and talking game a LOT. It's entirely possible someone else talks themselves into being the target. So much chaos! I'm loving it. ETA: unless something major has changed in the last couple of hours, most of the people telling Austin they'll vote to save Jace are lying, because they just really want Austin and Jace to shut up about it. Jace has been stalking people all over the house and demanding they talk about saving him, and it's really bugging people.
  21. It's so crazy. I think it was first night of the feeds when she was telling people about it; I only saw the last part of the conversation. But apparently she was so seriously injured that doctors were worried about major brain damage at one point. Hit by a mother fucking train. As a pedestrian. I don't even care if it was a slow train. IT WAS A TRAIN. THAT HIT HER. I would love it if Steve was an actor or plant or twist. Sadly, I think it's just who he is, a decent guy but just so awkward.
  22. I don't think Jason's accent is affected at all. It's more pronounced when he's excited or exhausted or whatever, just like most accents, but it's his natural accent. The accent isn't what I might expect from someone with his body type, gay or not, but it seems to be authentic. He oftentimes sounds like an 80 year woman from the Bronx, and it cracks me up. That big voice does not match that tiny body at all. Becky was hit by a train and suffered major trauma, including injuries to her face. She didn't have plastic surgery, and so there are some residual scars. One of the more noticeable scars affects that side of her mouth. Jeff and Jackie- ugh. She's terrible and he's just so vanilla.
  23. Jason just called out folks voting "with the house." Paraphrasing, he said what so many of us said last season- who is the house? The house is not a person. The house doesn't mean anything. The house can't want anything. I've been borderline on him, but his disdain for "voting with the house" may have just won me over. Jason was trying to buoy Jace's spirits, which I do not support, but it was so nice to hear someone basically say "F- what the house wants, that's dumb." Jace seems to be imploding, knowing he's screwed. But eviction is still four days away, and I think it's possible that Jackie ends up being the boot. It'd be ridiculous, because Jace is the easy boot and it won't piss anyone off whereas evicting Jackie makes an enemy of Jeff and probably others, but it's possible.
  24. Amanda's worthless strategy carried her pretty far... (Regrettably and disgustingly) I don't think anyone will pick up on twins twist for at least two weeks. Even though they're all in heightened awareness looking out for twists now that they know they're coming, there are enough people playing super hard and enough crazy happening that I think the twins will be fine for a week, if not several. I doubt anyone notices any slight differences in them; they're thinking about saboteurs and America's player and Team America. At most, a few of them might think about the "secret couple" twist bc of Jeff/ Jackie. I doubt the twin twist is even on their radar.
