  1. I'm sure there are plenty of people among the English who are just as confused about their native tongue as there are anywhere else. Seriously, Google docs--presumably created by people who know American English--just asked if I meant "alot."
  2. Every time they replay the flashing footage, I laugh at Lisa V's "OOOOOH!" when Erika says she has no spare for Kyle. Haha, Lisa sounded legitimately surprised and amused.
  3. While I agree that the apology ship has sailed, I think she wants one for the extensive belaboring of her faux pas, the barely veiled accusations that she did it deliberately, the mockery, and the gossip--all from someone who seems -- well, seemed as of last night -- to really want to be her friend.
  4. Just turned 46, and I do the same as needed--though I'll admit I typically wear tights with most of my super-short stuff (I'm really pale, and also a very lazy leg-shaver). I'll add that short and not tight is probably a worse risk for showing some business accidentally though. But is it really? While my BF is no old millionaire (or any kind of millionaire), and we're not actually married, I feel like it's no big deal if I say, "We have a PlayStation 4" (just ignore the fact that it is actually his [I know because I gave it to him] and that I want zero to do with it anyway).
  5. Probably tons. You'd never know if they neither confess this nor let anything show.
  6. Might as well make him an outright comic-book villain at this point...
  7. OK, that ensemble has way too many elements! I forgot to mention, what is with Rinna's "tough chick" gestures? The "come at me" fingers and the standing up over people. I feel like she wants everyone to be all, "Ooooh, it's goin' down now! Don't mess with the Rinna!" Or to have everyone get up to restrain her.
  8. Yeah, well -- those things are not what is meant by "slut" in common parlance. But, IMO, the use of that word to describe a woman says much more about the describer than it does the "describee." No worries; I actually read your question as "wait, where was that?" as opposed to, "no one said that, damn it!"
  9. In the post I quoted -- unless of course I am misinterpreting the phrase "slut flag." Being someone who doesn't really subscribe to the idea of the "slut," I could be wrong.
  10. i have a friend who fell asleep on a couch in the middle of a loud NYE party in a smallish space.
  11. How is getting dressed akin to being a so-called "slut"? I'm really asking in the hope it's not the same old misogynistic antiquated ideas still dustily clunking around in 2017. Haha, brides often have help getting dressed--and they're probably even nekkid at some point before that happens!
  12. It reminded me of NJ Teresa's table tip...seconds after which she calmly kissed her husband and said "I love you."
  13. My boyfriend. But not because he's ridiculously chivalrous, proper, and devoted, but because he is notoriously unobservant, haha! I actually agree, but also think it would not have fallen flat if Dorit was 100% doing it to be cute; I think she partially was indeed into sticking it to Erika, only in a way that could be construed as innocent later. Clearly she was bugged by it and couldn't let it go. And maybe there was a little bit of newcomer wanting to impress the other ladies a little bit?
  14. Yikes, this one was crazy as hell! I like Erika but that, IMO, was a whole lotta overreacting on her part, and I actually agreed somewhat with the argument that because she'd implied that she was past the underwear business, her (delayed?) outrage about it was unwarranted (though I wonder if the seemingly ongoing comments from Dorit about first-time compliments and sitting next to her just eroded Erika's "I'm over it" attitude, which seemed legit to me a few episodes ago; call me naive but I believe that Dorit's refusal to drop it was where Erika's problem stemmed from). Further, I have no strong opinions about Dorit other than she is kind of a nag about Erika being nicer to her (seriously, just let it happen!), but she did not deserve that level of nonsense. And Rinna should give it a damn rest; it's like she thinks she's being profoundly thought-provoking but she's just a shit-stirrer.
  15. Was it Rob Zombie?! Oh, what if it was Rob Zombie! Of course I would know that though, as he is my husband, haha!
  16. Maybe I will! I would recommend just about anything from the Gardein brand--the "crab" cakes are miraculous and my omnivore BF likes the "chicken" nuggets and the burgers. There are also "beef" crumbles that work really well for tacos and stuff. As for vegan cheeses, I find that the less expensive ones like Daiya are serviceable but not great--they're almost always a bit better when melted. It's the more artisanal ones that are really good, though the Follow Your Heart brand has yellow slices that I swear taste just like deli American. Fooled my cheese-loving friend with it once (not on purpose; he ate it and then asked if my "weird non-cheese is as good," haha!). The Daiya cream cheese though is heinous and I threw mine away immediately. But the Tofutti brand has a much better facsimile. Also, it's actually pretty easy to make a spreadable "cheddar" that is awesome; it's cashew-based and you really need just a blender and a container with a lid. Holy crap, you guys! I only just now realized that this comment thread isn't of the "miscellaneous" category, and that it is part of the RHoBH ones! Good lord, and I read for a living.
  17. YES! In fact, I have had two and both are glorious: Gardein's Ultimate Beefless Burger and Field Roast's FieldBurger. They're both super-easy to prepare on the stove, and I can't wait to bring them to barbecues, where I tend to feel almost jealous of the meat people. And I hear there's one that is even better but I have not been able to get my grimy paws on it: the Beyond Meat brand. And Field Roast also has a hot dog that is not only not eraser-like, but really good; it even gets crispy! Maybe they don't want my kind getting in on their fun? Of course, their fun usually also includes talking to me about (my perceived lack of) protein while revealing they don't know a thing about their own, haha! You eat "normal" food in the USA, you're getting enough protein without much effort.
  18. Just speculation but Eden reminds me of someone I know (right down to the overly familiar behavior with people she's only just met) who is desperate for a connection that is "just so," and also even more desperate for the people around her to see that she is able to obtain such a connection. Sorry if that is weirdly vague and simultaneously very specific, but it just, as they say, pinged my personal radar.
  19. I actually like the taste of burgers, seafood, and various other non-vegan things--most of all cheese! But all that is simply less important to me that not using animals, so I don't do it anymore. But I have had people--mainly non-vegans, oddly enough--outright argue with me that I am wrong for finding vegan substitutes for these things (e.g., a meatless burger that tastes like a real one as opposed to your run-of-the-mill veggie burger that mimics the shape only) because if I like meat I should "just eat it then." Talk about missing a point! And that's why in some social situations, I try to be pretty inconspicuous with my food (go for a pasta dish in public; makes things somewhat easier).
  20. I take them as seriously as VPR Ariana takes comedy, damn it!
  21. Well, some people might be taking her way too seriously...that much appears to be true.
