    So sorry, I didn't realize.

I can get on the website but it won't let me watch anything.

Something odd is going on here. I just deleted a comment I never posted 👀

CBC is blocked in the States.

Y'know...I would enjoy watching Worlds through the eyes of Canadian commentators (& it sure as heck would be better than listening to Tara!) Is NBC blocked in Canada?

This schedule has NBC airing the men's free skate on Saturday and then a recap of the whole competition on April 14th.

So, we don't get to see the RD? When the current world champs are from the same country as NBC?

I always make sure my screen door is shut and locked.  I once had a dog who could open the screen door.  But the big door is standing open as I type.  It's a lovely day, and I'm enjoying the fresh air.  I will also leave the big door open if I'm going to the mailbox or just putzing around in the front yard, as it locks automatically and I prefer not to carry my keys while I'm doing yard work.

My back door is a slider, and I have to use a key to lock it from the outside, so it stays unlocked if I'm out in the yard.  It's usually locked while I'm inside, unless I'm going in and out a lot. (The same dog could open the slider, too.)  And occasionally I'll forget to lock it at night.  I'll get up in the morning and be surprised to find it unlocked.  I do live in a small town, and I have a fenced back yard.  There are much easier houses to break into.

In warm weather, particularly warm nights, I'll sleep with my windows open to catch a breeze of fresh air.  But they get closed when it gets too humid.

There wasn't an appropriate emoji for me to click on so here's my reaction: 😧. I knew someone who was raped by a man who walked through her unlocked sliding glass door's screen while she was vacuuming her house. She worked for the same foundation (in another state) that I worked for and had met the creep while out recruiting businesses to participate in a nationwide fundraising event. This was back in the 80's. There are thousands more jacked up creeps out there today, thanks to all the garbage they can watch in the privacy of their homes. I should consider this memory as a *new* reminder to myself to not leave a room with the sliding glass door open even with its screen locked.

@Ancaster Bugs in the south aren’t as much of a problem as they are portrayed on shows. And our courtrooms aren’t cooled by ceiling fans and open windows.

As soon as I read this, I had a vision of a southern courtroom: ceiling fans slowly revolving, ladies fanning themselves, and lawyers in seersucker suits. That's probably a scene out of some movie (maybe To Kill A Mockingbird?)

Wow! Ben is, once again, the Comeback Kid! I hope he wins it all, but I like Troy almost as much as I like Ben, so I'd be fine either way.

Either one.  Let's get this done.

  7. Grilled chicken (marinade is Greek vinaigrette & Turkish Seasoning...great combo!); Greek salad; and Spice Island pilaf--cooked, cooled and then sauted in olive oil, butter, some pine nuts, and a little garlic.  Some of it got a little crispy...my favorite part (so much easier than pilaf from scratch 😊).

Everyone breathe. We can get through this!

I saw a post on facebook of the list of people invited. I actually recognize a fair number of names...

😡 Sheesh. I may need to take a break, after TOC, until they get back to the regular game.

I suspect Yogesh's brain is wired like mine, but our ages, ethnicities, genders, life experiences, etc. are very different.
But the main difference is that my public comments are mostly in online spaces where I can edit them and re-edit them.
IRL my verbal filter is no better than his.

That said, I do see personal growth in Yogesh over the last year, which he might not have achieved in a more private sphere.
Not winning this TOC may or may not be a positive experience for him in the long term.

Regardless, I reserve my loathing for someone else at this time.
And Yogesh is way better at Jeopardy! and trivia retention than I will ever be, but then that's also true for all y'all on this board.😉

@shapeshifter You're very kind. We've never met but for some reason, I can't imagine you going down in flames after losing on Jeopardy--and going down in flames while trying to haul a TV game show with you. Yogesh is trying to come across as a nice guy, fun fellow contestant, he's even going for that humble look 🤓. IMNSHO, he hasn't grown at all and he's pretending to be something he's not. I sure hope Troy or Ben finishes this TOC soon as I'm ready for regular Jeopardy!

FWIW, here's my wild guess as to how "best of 7" might not negate "first to win 3 games," using my Intuitive Math skills (and faith in Ken and the Jeopardy! show editors) rather than actually adding numbers:
I'm guessing Ken actually has added together the total number of games the final champs will have played, including the quarter finals, semi finals, and what-have-you (I am not a sports person) and that whoever first wins 3 games will have somehow have also won "the best of 7."

Can anyone verify this or explain that it's not possible?

    Wut 🥴?

I think Viola's awesome snot crying scene put her in the lead category. 😅

The snot was a new acting technique for her. Previously, she excelled in creating a tear that s.l.o.w.l.y. rolled down her cheek in the movie, Doubt.

  12. Can one sub ground turkey for lamb or beef in Moussaka?  I like Mindthinkr's suggestion of Turkey Sloppy Joe's.  Wow...that's interesting info' re: cumin.  My grandson & family will be here soon and he also has that tree nut allergy (he carries an epipen? at all times).

  13. Whenever I hear a contestant these days say, "Bring it", I think...no.  It's only cool/funny when a certain Steve Martin lookalike says it.  I'm almost over missing those Masters, but "bring it" now just makes me miss that crew all over again.

    Go Ben! Go Troy! 🍀🤞

  14. I peeked here toward the end of DJ.  Yogesh was gaining too much. Gee...I had no idea he's a psychologist (hardly ever get to hear introductions). Until my daughter started grad school & described her fellow future psychologists (oy!), I always thought these people had it together.  Go Ben! Go Troy!

I think it means Video On Demand?

So glad this forum exists so I can find out what's going on in the real world today 🤓. Several years ago I felt so smart when I informed my husband what LOL meant (he thought it meant lots of luck).

  16. Of course he did. I'm sure some contestants return home and are told that their behavior, attitude, appearance, whatever was not good. Jake returned & presented himself as an adult, not a rambunctious child. Right now I can't think of other examples, except for Yogesh. As far as I know, he was the worst...an OTT sore, bitter loser, attacking Jeopardy, lashing out. So someone gave him advice. IMO, it's an act. It'll be interesting to see how he behaves if he loses the TOC.

  17. Congress needs to give the IRS more funding so they can hire more staff (& get rid of the poor performers) to work with us. Maybe have the funds to offer financial incentives to get staff to return to the offices. I can understand staff in the Metro DC area wanting to work from home though. Commuting around here is a bear...an ugly, meanspirited, rabid bear!
