  1. I agree. After Joe commented on how pretty and perfect Elena is in front of his current girlfriend, their friends, and TV cameras for the millionth time, all I could envision was Terra and Joe sitting down to plan their script for the season. I had to comment on this: Christy's birth control is an iPhone app and her boyfriend didn't know anything about it. I say if you're in a committed relationship, are living together, and have not even discussed what birth control is being used, then you deserve an "oops" in nine months . That was just the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
  2. I was also disappointed you couldn't even see the Wonder Woman lasso lit up. It just looked like a coiled tube since the lights on the stage were so bright.
  3. You can take a quiz to find out which little woman you are most like. I'm Tonya since I'm so sensible and level-headed, according to this very scientific quiz.
  4. I think this is where they played it wrong. They were probably going for the idea that the psychic would "know" tough-guy-Dean wouldn't want to revisit the worst moment in his life and certainly wouldn't want to talk about it. I don't agree with that. The Dean they wrote on paper might have felt that way, too tough to admit to his feelings, but the Dean Ackles gave us was a Dean that needed people to see past that and give him a little love and sympathy. It would have worked a lot better for me had she opened with the joke, saw (felt) it hit wrong, and then quietly asked (with Sam out of hearing), "How you doing, kid?", or something to indicate yeah, she recognized he still hurt, but wasn't going to dissect his feelings on the matter unless he wanted her to. I would've been fine with her playing the gruff psychic in front of Sam, but showing a softer, understanding side to Dean when they were alone. He wanted to keep up the pretense in front of Sam, but we saw how emotional he got when calling his father so we, as the audience, realize it's a facade.
  5. Hee! You have to take a picture of those the next time you're there to share with us. I'm interested to see what they look like.
  6. There was a marathon on TNT yesterday that I happened to catch from "Phantom Traveller" to "Hookman". This is more of a general comment, though it really sunk in this episode for some reason. Sam was so much softer in the beginning of the series. Looking back at Padalecki doing the line readings from nine years later, I'm not quite sure I like it, or if it's just that Sam has become so different he seems like a stranger. I get why Sam's not like that anymore, but I was watching this one scene in "Bloody Mary" where he lowers his voice to talk to the victim of the week and I actually cringed. It sounds so...weird. This is back when he was Captain Empathy, but it's so not where Sam has evolved that I didn't know whether to think Padalecki was just being a terrible actor, or if the character has changed so much he's unrecognizable at this point.
  7. I admit it. I called the number when the show first aired. Since it didn't have the usual 555 prefix, it was a hint that it was a real number. It did have a message from Dean and you could leave a message in return, though I did not.
  8. One of her special skills is the "ability to drive a car with [her] feet!" I immediately went Flintstones with that, though I'm guessing that's not what she intended.
  9. That's what I've always wondered and have to assume that the truncated season 3 would have explained it in more depth. Forget drinking demon blood, just the fact that Sam was drinking blood seems like it should have been a huge hurdle for Sam to overcome. He's not a vampire and it doesn't taste like Bud Light, I'm sure. It's not a societal taboo for nothing. It can spread disease, it tastes disgusting, and it's freaking blood. He wasn't taking tiny sips, he was guzzling that stuff down like it came on tap. Yuck. I never understood how he got past the idea of it to the point he became dependent on it.
  10. I do, too! It seems like he really loves her, and it makes me a little sad that every time she's talked about her husband, she's never mentioned "love". She said they like hanging out together and doing things together, but not the magic word. I did hope maybe that was a cultural thing and not that she didn't love him.
  11. Christy's mother seems as deluded as Christy is, but she is getting only Christy's side of events, so I'm hoping that explains her horrible advice to her daughter to actually go into another woman's engagement event and flash her misbegotten ring to make it all about her (again).
  12. I was watching the last episode and wondered where they dug up this "photographer". Is he the coffee boy on set and they cast him in the role for this episode? Because there is no way that an actual photographer would put the white poodle and the white-blonde woman in the white fur coat next to each other in the car. It creates too much negative space within the frame with all that white bunched together. I kept expecting the photographer to tell the women to shift seats in the car or for Terra to get rid of her coat in order to fix the problem. Of all the insanity (Christy!) in this episode, that's almost what bothered me most.
  13. This is a woman who added ten pounds of silicone to her chest to make her boobs bigger than her head and said fat people shouldn't cosplay (yeah, sure, she retracted it later in the series, but she probably realized how badly that statement made her look to the general population). I've decided not to take her word on anything.
  14. So much yes to this. If I were her boyfriend, I would have been running out the door before the first episode filmed. Her constant we-must-get-engaged-NOW was tiresome and the last thing anyone wants to hear every few minutes. Talk about taking the romance out of the situation. I was so disappointed her boyfriend caved last episode. Even when her boyfriend was caught red-handed flirting with his ex, he knew exactly what to say to get out of trouble - "You were so awesome and beautiful, you seduced me away from your supposed friend. No one can ever compare to you!" I think Christy needs to get over her shit, let Traci have her moment in the sun, and make her up-coming marriage about love, not about who hits the finish line first. I cannot stand her. She seems so self-involved and selfish. She didn't even seem to care a out how her boyfriend felt about things; it was all about what she wanted and damn everyone else, including him.
  15. If it's a rule I must be quoted, try to make me sound smart, okay? I need all the help I can get.
  16. Gem for Gemini might be different. Otherwise my knowledge of synonyms for two is pretty limited - Dos, Deux, Bi, Dyad...ooh! Twain? Twain is interesting. I used to, but as my intense obsession with the show dwindled, so did my fanfic. It's still haunting the interwebs, however.
  17. This is like an episode of The Newlywed Game! ETA: Ha! Too late. Guess what I just saw at the top of my lj feed.
  18. People also used to sleep with their livestock to keep warm and cure boils with dead frogs. Then they learned they didn't have to and life was good.
