  1. I was happy with the promise of what 4.18 would bring but the execution sucked and ever since LL died they just wont SHUT UP about her. It's been retcon city...blah blah blah LL this...blah blah LL that.... Add the multiple random post death appearances and the whole WWLD of it all and I'm just shaking my head at poor naive pre-4.18 me who thought my suffering was almost over.
  2. I read it as "Keep your eyes peeled and you shall ....wave(???) soon." I was so confused. Snort. I'm not so good at reading the emojis
  3. I love how they singled it out for mention and asked for comments on it too, like hey guys, just in case you're not sure what to direct your complaints about wrt Felicity in this article see here
  4. The more I think about it, Oliver's decision making in this ep seems weird af - choosing Adrien Chase to represent Diggle? Why, because he's the only lawyer left in SC? Don't even get me started on the logistics of asking the SC's DA to represent an accused criminal in a military court (?) .... Felicity's mourning Mayo's death by Oliver's hands and Oliver's answer to that last ep was to find comfort in Susan's arms and now to throw LL a party?? Also they're throwing LL a welcome back from the dead party after all of SC knew about both her death and that she was BC and they don't foresee any problems with that???
  5. That...sounds awful and like nothing I'm even slightly interested in seeing. I appreciate this may not be the case for everybody but it's a little disheartening to know that we'repast the MSF and now have spoilers for 5.10 as well and so far there's not one single episode of s5 that I feel tempted to watch. I used to count down the days to a new ep. Sigh
  6. Didn't he lock and unlock his twitter recently? S now it's locked again? Why the back and forth, did something happen or is he just being a drama queen?
  7. Their ideas are ALWAYS better than the execution of them, case in point the cliffhanger at the end of 3.21 or 3.22, when Oliver as Al Sahim trapped every single regular remember of TA except Thea in room with poisonous gas and walked away leaving everyone to die. Besides the fact that it was doubtful that they'd wipe out all of TA except Thea in one fell swoop, there were no stakes AT ALL since it had already been revealed to the audience AND the rest of TA that Oliver was simply pretending to be brainwashed. Any fear of what would happen was dependent on the audience accepting the incredible premise that Oliver Queen, a man who has proven that he would be willing to go to extraordinary lengths for those he loves, would willingly kill every single person that was close to him as part of a plan to defeat Ra's al Ghul. Another thing that I am never getting over is how they had the perfect weapon to defeat DD in a post-Lazarus dipped Thea and then ..... NOTHING. They cleared Thea's bloodlust up lickety split and instead of her having an intriguing story that for once didn't require her to be MM's pawn or a footnote in Oliver's story, we were required to believe that Oliver was able to magically defeat DD because of the power of the ppl of SC's belief in him or the power of being good...or something. Argh
  8. This season or next when we rehash the whole thing and his trust issues surface again?
  9. My take - whenever they have a character they want the audience to like they use Felicity. In their minds, her super power isn't her brain but the fact that she's a fan favourite which they hope [insert character of your choice] will benefit from. Ergo her and LL's seemingly out of nowhere BFF status in s3, RP's introduction being tied to her and Curtis being her friend/employee. Hell, even the decision to go after and recruit the newbies was her idea, I'm convinced her words to persuade Oliver were really/also directed at the audience. In the EP's minds if Felicity likes/pushes it then the audience is more likely to get on board, that hasn't ever actually borne dividends so far but as we're about to deal with our 3rd incarnation of a Canary on Arrow, learning from their errors is clearly not their strong suit. So having said all that I can absolutely see why those dumbasses would think it's a brilliant idea to have Felicity be the one to help track down and recruit the new BC, even if she ends up being Oliver's next LI. After all, as it stands rn Oliver x Felicity are not only broken up but she's involved in another relationship and he's stated his intention to see what else is out there. They act less like a couple who were madly in love and on the verge of a wedding a few months ago and more like friends with benefits who stopped the 'benefits' part of their relationship part of the arrangement. It'll be like giving the Felicity seal of approval on her assuming both the BC mantle and LI to Oliver Queen.
  10. You know it sounds too stupid to be possible when it's all laid out like but then I remember that this is the show that had Oliver stabbed with a sword and thrown off a cliff and then recover through the magical healing properties of penicillin tea. This show...
  11. Same. On both fronts. It just becomes clearer and clearer that they don't get it and the fact that it was from DR just somehow made it worse to me.
  12. I think you'd need more than that to succeed in this world. Can you imagine how a woman imbued with 'that' kind of confidence would be treated? She'd be laughed out of town. To get away with that level of BS you'd really need a penis #sorrynotsorry
  13. That's like damning him with faint praise, since the whole thing smacks of him even getting the directing gigs in the first place because all those Arow centric bro dudes love him ;)
  14. Obviously this issue is bigger than Bam and Arrow but imo it's fair game for him to be singled out because let's face it he went from never directing (2nd units aside) to being given two eps in one year followed by the premier, second episode and crossover/100th ep of Arrow, all the while being noticeably bad at the whole 'directing' thing.
  15. Thank you. Sigh, how the TPTB think this is an improvement on what Arrow has shown us so far I'll never know.
  16. Can you share it please? I'd be very grateful
  17. There there. I'm pretty down about the show as a whole right now and won't be tuning in until it starts to return to a direction that I'm interested in but I will say I have never felt that the show has ever signaled a return to LL/OQ once O/F was a thing. And if that doesn't pick you up, just think about it like I do, if they ever hint at Loliver being a thing again that'll be the best indication yet that Arrow is not the show for me and will make permanently cutting that cord so very very easy.
  18. I had pretty much the same experience watching "This is Us" since everybody and their mother who had a screener kept harping on there being a twist so I spent most of my watch trying and then succeeding in figuring it out. It would've played much differently had I been unaware that there was a twist ending. As for Mandy Moore, I loathed her when her first single came out and for years I associated her with that "Candy" video and rolled my eyes when I saw that she was going to trying acting but then I saw her in a few things, like A walk to remember and now I'm a fan.
  19. I thought the "Knocking?" line was Felicity to Oliver - a throwback to "don't you knock?"
  20. I HATED the changes they made on HOUSE and kept waiting for them to change things back. When it became clear that was never happening I lost a lot of enthusiasm for the show. I have no idea why showrunners equate evolving as a show with almost total destruction of everything that went before. Instead of a few changes that feel like a breath of fresh air, it usually means I lose most of what I loved about a show to begin with. So less Cameron and Chase and more Foreman along with a whole bunch of annoying newbies...no thank you. Can you tell I'm still bitter about House?
  21. That interview he gave with the excuse about using so few women directors because the women were hesitant to come to Vancouver because of their families, really pissed me off.
  22. Trust me - if you'd seen a Bamford episode you'd remember it (and care about any further directing attempts by him). The first ep was all about the shaky cam and weird transitions. Imo not a stellar debut but it seems TPTB and the media reporting surrounding the ep didn't concur.
  23. I see this Lost Boys news and all I can think is Rob Thomas why are you doing more things that are not Veronica Mars. The busier he gets, the less time he has to devote to giving me more VM canon. Sigh
