  1. The show does treat people's reactions to murder extremely casually. Murdered my friend in cold blood, eh, it's ok. Get your eye gouged out and entire family killed...grieve for a hot minute and then it's off on adventure time. Get a makeshift tracheotomy...you'll be fine, just wrap a scarf around it. It all loses it's shock value when no one gives a shit and wounds are treated like a minor scratch.
  2. What is the name of the account? I can't see a link. 🙁
  3. I thought that was the perfect ending for Erica because after 10 marriages, I highly doubt Jack would be the one to make her settle down. Erica's "the one" was always herself. These interviews have been nice. With almost 10 years removed it seemed like no one felt the need to toe the line and the actors for the most part were able to give their real opinions about the show. Billy Miller probably shouldn't have been invited to this. His stint was short and to me, not that memorable on AMC. Josh Duhamel was on the show for a short time as well, but at least he made an impression. As someone who liked Ryan and Greenlee together, I appreciated Cameron, Rebecca and Melissa acknowleding that, yes, they did have fans. lol Never could understand why some people felt that Greenlee and Ryan should only be allowed to have one great love in their life. That's just not possible on a soap. I'm sure with that ABC special that aired a few weeks ago and now these interviews, it has stirred up a renewed interest in the genre. I'm still in the camp that too much time has passed and any AMC revival would be an empty shell of the soap that I once loved. Too many actors have moved on or passed away. I'd rather they made old episodes available to watch instead. Would love to see some of the late 80's early 90's episodes that I have a hazy memory of from when I was a kid.
  4. I had no idea about Roscoe Born. It's like a double whammy for me today. 😟 RIP to them both. Although my last comment was negative towards the character of Edmund, John Callahan was a fantastic actor. It just makes me sad to see these AMC actors leaving us one by one. I'm still not over David Canary's passing.
  5. She has that Kimmy Schmidt kind of look. I love it when people are not afraid of color. I tend to be a rainbow myself in regards to what I wear and I've had a few people comment that they like the fact that I don't stick to basic colors. I want everything in Mo's closet too!
  6. I remember when Edmund first came on the show and he was this hot mysterious guy with a chip on his shoulder. For some reason, I really wanted Erica and Edmund to hook-up back then. Eventually, they neutured Edmund to the point that he was no longer interesting and I didn't really care when Jonathan murdered him. I'm glad I didn't get too invested when Brooke and Edmund reunited the last time because boy did the writers twist themselves in knots to make Brooke look like the bad guy so that Edmund could go running back to Maria. At the time, I not so secretly liked Maureen with Aidan so I wasn't happy about their reunion. lol
  7. I came here to say basically the same thing. As we have gotten further into the season, this show has taken a real shift in tone from where it was in the first few episodes. We went from Dex being a bit of a hard ass, slightly anti-social grey character to Dex the detective with a heart of gold, taking the high road and reuniting families. I may just jump ship.
  8. They did the classic love triangle shot where the guy looks on from a distance as his ex talks to another guy. Then they had that converstation right after where it could be read as Alex and Jo talking about their relationship eventhough on the surface it was about Piper.
  9. When they were all sitting at the breakfast table was that a dream piper was having or was it inside the virtual world that Emily created? If it was piper, I liked that her perfect happy family moment included Alex and that she's seeing maybe a bit of a father figure in him. This episode pulled me back in after being a bit bored with the last one. I wouldn't have minded the show dragging the Emily taking over as Jo plot for one more episode. I felt like that was resolved too quickly right when I was actually getting invested. When Mia said at the end of the episode that she was happy to sleep in her own bed....does she not consider her dad's apartment her home as well. I thought they were sharing custody or does she primarily live with Jo? Of course they have to amp up the love triangle. I still feel like Alex cares more about Jo than she does for him. I'm trying to make myself care about this triangle, but I kinda don't.
  10. Part of my problem with Hoffman previously was that he didn't seem to "fit" in with the other characters. It felt like he served his purpose in the first few episodes. Now that his story is intertwined with Grey's, I'm actually finding myself a little more invested. I still think he has a ways to go though to make me care about any potential relationship he may have with Dex.
  11. Jason saying he finished the crossword puzzle and only circling the search keywords got to me far more than it probably should have.
  12. ah, New Girl. I couldn't remember the name of the show he was on. I like ZD's movies. I'm not sure why I never got around to watching her show. I think it's on Hulu or Netflix. I'll have to make time to binge watch. Whenever people mention bad final episodes, HIMYM is usually on the list. I'm kind of reluctant to dive in at this point. A really bad ending can ruin a great series.
  13. Will this show turn out to be the Small Wonder reboot that none of us asked for? This episode moved a little slow for me. I kept waiting for Jo to figure things out and for the "big" reveal to happen. It felt like nothing was happening in between. Now that the truth is out there, hopefully, the show can continue to focus on building the characters/relationships without feeling the need to up the ante in regards to Piper's past. It kind of bugged me that Jo was so unwilling at first to use the cure the woman gave her. It was literally her only option!
  14. I was liking the idea of him sticking around to help Dex, but with the turn around at the end, I wouldn't mind him popping up as a guest star in an episode or two just to be a thorn in her side from time to time. The vibe of this episode felt different. Starting with the weird daydream 70's opening sequence. Dex seem almost subdued this episode compared to how we've seen her previously. I was actually surprised she was so open with the girl about her brother(?) and the speech at the end was a little much. Sex with the cop didn't bother me since it was clear there were no feelings behind it. She was using him, he was using her, they both knew it. meh I must have not been paying attention because I had no idea that Stumptown was the name of the city until it was mentioned in this episode.
  15. It's great! I love the 70's vibe. The only thing is it's made out of a satin material so it snags like crazy.
  16. My only quibble with that scene is those bags would have burst open with the way she was beating the guy over the head with them. I've had chips fly all over the place just trying to open the package properly.
  17. I'm getting the romantic feelings from him, but I get nothing in return from her. My theory is that she ended their relationship for whatever reason and he's the one who can't let go. That's why he's so willing to rush right back into her life at the hint of uncertainty with Piper all under the guise that he's protecting their daughter. What annoys me is that he isn't more angry that she put their daughters life in danger bringing Piper into the house. She volunteered to take this kid in before she even had an idea of how serious the situation really was. He made one comment about it and she shot him down and made it seem like he was the bad guy for even raising any concern. I think the show is trying too hard to make her ex be understanding of the situation because most of the time TV shows portray ex's as hating each other and they obviously want to go the opposite direction, but the guy has a reason to be upset and he should butt heads with her a little more about Piper.
  18. Dex apparently is a better person than me. When the guy was asking her to look for the girl who gave him a fake number, I was screaming at my TV for her not to say anything and just take the guys money! I agree with what others have said about the songs on the radio. They have to keep that in somehow for every episode. If this show starts to tank in the ratings, they can make her car sentient as a last ditch effort a la Knight Rider. I wasn't really feeling the first episode, but this one seemed to work better for me. Although, for some reason, the cop character just isn't clicking for me yet. I think they could have worked him into Dex's life a little better. It doesn't make sense to me why he cares so much. I don't really have an affinity for these actors because I missed seeing their other big roles. I didn't watch How I Met Your Mother and the only thing I saw the bartender guy in was Spiderman. Having not seen much of her before I think CS is doing a pretty good job bringing the snark. She has to make a generally unlikeable character likeable and so far I think she's straddling the line pretty well. On a side note, I usually don't pay attention to these things, but I happen to have the same blue jacket with the sun on the back that Dex wore in this episode just in a different color and that thing costs $150! It kept taking me out of the moment when she was driving that janky car, desperate for money all the while wearing a pretty expensive jacket.
  19. The only thing that would make this Theresa/Brady/Eve triangle interesting to me is if Brady actually stuck it out with Eve and choose her over Theresa because any other scenario would be painfully obvious. Otherwise, we will have to suffer through months of Brady trying to "struggle" with his feelings for Theresa, the two sisters becoming enemies and Brady ultimately ending up dropping Eve like a hot potato for Theresa. It's hard to get invested when the outcome is telegraphed from a mile away. Rarely does the ex coming back to town right as their former love is moving on result in that said love staying with their current partner. The only other viable outcome is if Theresa and Eve both realize that family is more important than any man and they both leave...lol I can't even finish that sentence. Who I am kidding? That would never happen.
  20. Eve has good reason to not trust Brady, but her insistence that he's still conning her despite all the evidence in the world being thrown in her face was getting on my nerves. Literally all of her complaints were shot down by Marlena and Claire and she was still going on and on. It started to become comical...Eve "well, you were drunk"...Marlena walks in "uh, no he wasn't. I have the test results right here"... Eve "well, he cheated on the contest"...Claire walks in "actually, I did it on my own"...Eve "whatever, you're still a liar"...what?
  21. Today was my first exposure to Ben and Theresa. OMG, Ben is hot! His scenes with Abby had me more engaged than any of her interactions with Stefan or Chad thus far. As for Theresa...meh. I laughed at how she was worried about her kid for all of 5 seconds before she was all about Brady. Why are soap characters always shocked to find out that their ex moved on after they left? Granted, she'll have a reason to be pissed once she finds out Brady is banging her sister, but did she really expect him to be celibate for the rest of his life? So dumb.
  22. I like Chloe, but the actress is so low energy in all of her scenes no matter what the circumstances are. The voice over while Lucas was reading her "goodbye" letter to him...she might as well have been reading the phone book. There was no inflection in her words. As much as I hate to say it, I'm glad a certain someone is being pulled into this kidnapping story because I don't think it would be nearly as interesting if it all revolved around Chloe.
  23. I wonder with Days big Emmy wins tonight if TPTB are just going to double down now rather than make a move to change things up since they just received validation for every decision that was made in the past year.
  24. I'm sad that I don't have cable anymore. I miss watching this show so much! It taught me to never leave my vehicle registration in my car just in case it ever gets towed. The hell people had to routinely go through to get access to their car. There were so many great moments, this one isn't even near the best one, but I will always remember one episode where this woman was trying to get her car back and all her paperwork had her maiden name on it. I guess the vehicle was registered in her husbands name. The clerk gave her so much grief for not taking her husbands last name because god forbid a woman might want to keep her own last name. I always went back and forth on who was the bigger ass in the situation in each episode. Most of the time I sided with the clerks because I could not deal with all those crazies everyday.
  25. Thank you to you both for the days family tree information. Boy, that is some muddy gene pools. Yikes. Not the biggest fan of soaps feeling the need to have every character instantly tied to a well established character by blood instead of, you know, just integrating them properly on to the canvas. Yes, I'm talking about Stefan. Pretty soon everyone will have to take a DNA test before they can go out on their first date. Although, that never stopped, Guiding Light.
