  1. More of Alyssa's bullshit. Did she name any of these purported Climate Conservatives? Remember how she claimed that American public didn't care about the January 6 hearings because they were more concerned about inflation, jobs, and gas prices? Now that the Democrats are pushing a bill to respond to those needs, she feels it won't be successful because blah blah blah blah blah. Typical Moving Goalpost maneuver. 🙄 If she indeed is The Chosen One, my eyeroll emojis will get a workout.
  2. Kyle is so trying to horn in on Kathy's (puzzling, in my opinion) popularity, but she's not a good enough actress to pull it off. Last week in their first scene together, Kyle shoehorned some of Kathy's greatest hits, like hunky-dory, into the conversation. This week, Kyle seems about two seconds away from calling Kathy a Lovable Scamp.
  3. I was thinking about the Peer Factor when they replayed Alicia Silverstone's comment about that. Middle Schoolers can be really cruel, and Alicia might be giving them unnecessary ammunition. Gabriel isn't in middle school, but I can't imagine that he would be thrilled by the way Sunny frames their relationship on this show. She sounds like Marie Barone at times. At the very least, he's seems smart enough to not tell Sunny if he was sleeping with someone.
  4. Mayte was Prince's ex, and Jessica Conseco, who I think would be a good love-to-hate but not vicious Real Housewife. What a classy and stylish dentist! I'm not going to be too hard on Dorit because I've dorked out when encountering celebrities, but then again, I don't live in Beverly Hills. Dorit's inability to be cool is kind of endearing. The vibe between Erika and Crystal this season has been so weird. It's like Erika is trying to befriend(?) Crystal by triggering her, first about Sutton and now with her ED.
  5. I'm not thrilled that Lindy's brother questioned Miguel about his religious beliefs, but shouldn't The (Supposed) Experts have asked about that? That is, if religion is as important to Lindy as it seems to be for her family. Then again, past seasons have shown that they match people without regard for compatible beliefs about finances, pets, chores, politics, etc. so why would they consider something as fundamental as religion?
  6. My first MAFS season was New Orleans. I haven't given up on the show yet, but Houston and Boston II have taught me that the premiere is mostly filler, like the 5,000 preview, cast selection, underwear drawer tours, recaps, where-are-they-now episodes, etc. I really hope the pacing is better this season; the season reallllllyyyy draaaaaaaags toward Decision Day, especially if there aren't any likable couples left.
  7. Thank you for this! I refuse to accept any other explanation for Diana's hate-on for Sutton. I tweeted a question about this to Andy, but it wasn't chosen. Surely Kyle must have something going on in her life other than intervening in other people's conflicts. Diana seems to think that her money is a substitute for an actual personality. Her erotica book is fine (in her mind) because the proceeds went to victims of war criminals. She can be unnecessarily mean to Sutton because Sutton doesn't seem to respect The Purse. She shouldn't get called out for disrespecting a Black influencer because she donated money to people in Haiti and the Congo. 🙄 I guess this also is why she decided to be a Housewife instead of joining the Kardashian-Jenner Cinematic Universe; Real Housewives are notoriously impressed by shiny expensive things.
  8. Sherri Shepherd needs to update her act. Her schtick is primarily oversharing about her son and her love life, and I'm just not here for it.
  9. Yeah, but when Crystal does speak, it usually ends up being, as she would put it, "problematic." Every time she tried to respond to Sutton, Sutton would interrupt and tell Crystal that whatever she was saying wasn't good enough. We're now in the second season of dealing with her word choices. Crystal has the fundamental Housewife skills of Passive Aggression and Grudge Holding, but isn't confrontational enough to hold her own in an argument. It's wise of her to zip up at this point. Also: why does Kyle seem to hate Crystal so much?
  10. I know, right?! I get that the producers want a "lighter" segment between Hot Topics and the interviews, but they could do a lot better than weird surveys, reality show gossip, or random Reddit chatter. It's especially annoying because there's generally a 55% chance that Whoopi will consider the topic beneath her and break out the Valley Girl voice or Joy will "so what, who cares" the topic.
  11. I agree, but those counties that still have royalty aren't as romanticized in the US media as British royalty is.
  12. All these new reactions, and we still don't have one for eyerolls. MAFS will soon be as bad as 90DF with filler episodes.
  13. You know you wanted to say "snowsuits." 😊 There's a desperation to Erika's insistence that the charges against Tom were "disproven." I just don't know why the other ladies are coddling her. They can't possibly believe that a cabal of widows and orphans got together to defraud Tom.
  14. Oh Tara. You really don't need to begin sentences with "As a Conservative . . ."
  15. from the same family that brought us "Who is Hunky Dory?"
  16. Seriously! Reminded me of Homer Simpson realizing that money can be exchanged for goods and services. Calm down, Diane. It's not like you grew up eating ambrosia on Mount Olympus. 🙄 Yes they did! And creepily congratulated Garcelle for "opening up" when she broke into tears. This is what made Garcelle's move to reopen the Sutton issue so disappointing. She should know by now that these clear-the-air conversations never end well.
  17. So true. She's never going to get help as long as she believes she doesn't have a problem. This is true for so many people this season: Jasmine, Olajuwan, Lindsey, and Alyssa. They should have never been chosen for this show. And since they were chosen, the experts should have had more conversations with the couples. Then again, their interventions would have only been worthwhile if this show was actually interested in developing functional relationships instead of trainwrecks.
  18. Decades of reading romance novels have caused me to be vaguely disappointed that I'm now in my forties and have never had to fake or hire a boyfriend/fiancé for holiday dinners, high school reunions, weddings, or to gain an inheritance from a generous but meddlesome older relative. Where have I gone wrong? 😊 I'm currently making my way through Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. Instead of reading them in order, I'm reading them by groups (Unseen University, City Watch, Death/Susan, etc.). I'm thinking of skipping over the Rincewind books, though. The one I read was tedious. I'm now up to Carpe Jugulum, a book about Granny Weatherwax and the Witches, and I'm hoping it's as entertaining as Maskerade.
  19. I especially hated that his approach to teaching choreography was just saying things like "Bam-bam-bam! Pop!" even though it wasn't really helping the ones who didn't have dance experience. It was clear then and now that Mikey's main talent is riding coattails to peripheral fame. Erika and Mikey deserve each other. That said, the little I saw of the green outfit that Erika was leaning toward didn't look nearly as bad as the Mikey-approved outfit she ended up wearing.
  20. I like Sunny best as a legal expert and political commentator, and I truly think the show would decline in quality if Sunny was let go. However. I hate that she thinks being a possessive lunatic toward her husband is cute. Whoopi can be hard on Sunny at times, but I'm glad someone is willing to tell her when she's being stupid.
  21. Exactly! Why was this so hard for Drew to understand? Funny enough, when I heard Drew was joining the show, I was surprised because she had a recognizable acting career. Now, I don't think Drew has the chops to keep up with the other Housewives. Her toxic marriage, judgmental attitude, and tunnel vision all make her a drain on this show.
  22. This is true, and I don't know why Joy is so focused on getting out the vote when the problem, as Sara pointed out, is that the popular vote gets cancelled out because of gerrymandering and the electoral college. If anything, Democrats need to do a better job of playing the electoral game.
  23. Ha! That reminds me of the guy a few years back who was so enthusiastic about his "fitness lawnmower" and Daymond got super-pissed because push lawnmowers have been around forever!
  24. Neither. I'm saying I don't understand the point Whoopi was trying to make.
  25. Whoopi seems more incoherent than usual today. She stays away from Twitter but she's also disappointed that Twitter users aren't punished?
