not to detract from the sadness of Bernie's death , RIP, but I found this the other day . I think it is also on spotify if you don't use iTunes and some other player https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/shift-gets-real/id1466959792 or watch https://dimitrisnowden.com/shift-gets-real/ when I tried to go to their https://shiftgetsreal.com/ I got a warning from my antivirus "the certificate used to encrypt your connection to this website does not match the domain it was issued for. Attackers might try to steal sensitive information from you, such as passwords or credit cards." which was weird so I didn't continue on to their site

It reminds me of the scene in Silence of the Lambs where Foster is doing the autopsy and she says something like "glitter. Looks like town to me."

SSS: Speculation and Anticipation for Future Seasons
BlackWidow replied to BlackWidow's topic in Seeking Sister Wife
It's probably getting to be about the time these shows rethink the format , you know the whole 'couch talks', endless invented 'celebrations'.. somehow the reality has gone out of it and many of these shows have become a little too slick - you know when the viewers are skeptical of whether the ppl are actors it's starting to feel fake. I know there are tons of ppl into this though because there is some dating site out there for sisterwives and there are tons of couples on there so they would have a lot of real people to choose from. Oh and here's a gem http://thebreadwinnerpodcast.libsyn.com/dimitri-snowden-episode-51-the-breadwinner-podcast-ft-tyler-harris I don't know, this ontological architect thing sounds like so much BS anymore. I don't know if I believe this brother has a real job. They do give off the air of hustlers. Sure they might have been the most interesting of the bunch, but is that saying much? -
Anyone wondering if this is coming back? Even if everyone from the previous seasons bailed, there has to be other couples out there , or maybe they could add a polyIamory show with different relationship configurations, I don't know. Last season was such a cluster, certainly a hard act to follow. I don't know about you all but I'm still butthurt over the WTF happened Snowden debacle, and then we had the Jennifer thing with the other family, Brandy-gate with yet another family. All that was so soul-sucking I hardly remember the non-drama family. Hopefully, whatever follows will feel 'real' and not have the taint of 'well, someone who knew someone asked this person to be in the show' or that any couple/woman is doing it just for tv money.

Although, this coming from someone with your screen name also makes me laugh. I love this place...and I hate to admit, I was actually SAD about them breaking up, Vanessa leaving, and then I was sorta mad about all this 'I can't talk about it' BS. I tried to dig up dirt but all I could find were random stuff like Ashley's 'real' or pre-D name was Adkins but I couldn't find much on them together, on zabasearch or otherwise. If this whole thing was made-up, or a great part of it, whether it be A&D or the kids were not even theirs or maybe there's more to their backstory that Vanessa didn't know... I realize this all means 'no life' but hey we all need an escape from real reality. As an aside, at least their dresses weren't as horrific as some of the Brown celebration dresses. Well, except for the shorts thing, that was just...kinda tacky. I feel gypped at the tell-all that they didn't 'tell all' they just played along and this NDA thing is really weird. The rest of the tell all was decent. I know it's not the popular opinion but I'm not really feeling like what Brandy did was cool, I don't see how it was necessary. That said, it doesn't take away from Paige's flaws but I felt bad for her cause all that was just embarrassing. They did bring the drama however, as did the Jennifer debacle. I was impressed with Sharis' articulateness re these kind of relationships, she could totally do you tube. Oh yeah the other family, the Winders, he looks better whatever they did to his hair and the beard, I'm glad the first wife got to speak up a little bit, I was always worried she was like not abused per se, but that something was wrong cause she was quiet a lot during the season. Her new hairdo is cute too. -
I don't know, I kinda think Ash and ' Tha D' would be great say in the next Jordan Peele flick (Get out, which I liked, 'Us', good technically but storyline blew). Vanessa, instead of the "I'll do/be anything you want' nonsense, can be the mad max badass, and maybe can run up against some post-apocalyptic trolls (Jennifer?) and maybe she can run for political office or at least be some kind of sisterwives union organizer where people have rights and no one has to give up food they like, no forced doo-rag/scarf thingee wearing and no mandatory hoo-hah steaming etc. Meanwhile Ash and Tha ever-be-vested D can stalk the woods (seattle? Twin Peaks?) in search of their next 'catch'....

Does anyone think Dimitri's mom 'throwing shade' on Ash is because of the woman who came before Ash and she sees Ash as the 'other woman' ? The whole 'I don't trust women' really means I don't trust YOU. And they aren't saying about baby mama #1 on the show but that is what all that was about.. I don't know , did she have kids when she met him or was the actual 1st wife (gf? whatever?) his baby mama? -

Ok yeah I'll def give you that, all the kids for that matter. I guess because they are all under 18, they would have had to send them to grandma's or make other arrangements. But again yes getting the kids involved with someone one parent is into, the other is meh and seeing those kids cry was just awful. They have probably had to deal with a shit ton of complicated stuff and a bunch of changes already. House burning down, RV, moving, parents getting arrested. They certainly don't need to be emotionally invested/divested on top of all this other stuff. I guess I never bothered or couldn't pick up the Bernster's agenda of what he is in it for. Like I said, he just reminds me of a LOTR dwarf, only ,much bigger. Kinda like a garden gnome. -

I heard or read somewhere 3 is the minimum to get into planet Mormon afterlife and then 7 is some other level after that... Maybe someone here knows. I don't know how all the Brady wives got 'picked' , I know the one you claim his favorite was originally one he asked to marry him before even wife #1 but she ended up doing her own thing and then 10 yrs later came back. I didn't get the feeling every wife was buddy-buddy with every other wife. That said, it must be difficult sharing your primary relationship AND having to deal with these other people AND a bazillion kids. I still don't know what to think about Ash as far as if her heart is secretly breaking or she is actually 'IDGAF' but needs to appear she is sort of wrestling with it and being ultra generous to Dimitri when actually she sees it like, no one is legally married anyway, we all get tv money and exposure to build a brand , and legal marriage or not, Dimitri would have to pay support for those kids ,and whatever kids he has with Vanessa- so if the number of kids gets high enough, it doesn't pay for Dimitri to bail out of there. Sure Ash repeated the line I have heard the other plygs say about 'if anything happens to me, my kids are good because of her..' Def have to watch parts I FF'd through to watch the one relative interrogating Ash, which I thought was weird, because wouldn't she be more after Dimtri? -

BlackWidow replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Seeking Sister Wife
I'm not sure I do give a side eye to that because it might not always be about making more kids, and getting it on. Those two were a particularly bad match as Brandi seemed like she's the talk everything out right away and very reactive and Paige seems more like the 'learn-as-you-go' type,, among other reasons. Sure, Paige is a lot to deal with but I would bet there are way worse- who maybe play sweet to your face but then plot behind your back- at least you know what you're dealing with, with Paige. The idea for more than one might also not be rooted in religion or children but maybe even practical reasons: one more person helping out with whatever, childcare, working outside the home, cooking - there's lots of things besides sex and God needed to keep the lights on- in some of these situations it may be practical though they might never admit it. Meanwhile I did a google search to see the Bernster's new hair and only got the mugshot photo and can't tell because the light is bad as far as the new hair. Maybe someone has a shot of this and will post it. -

Ah yes corporate/hipster babble-speak. Ugh. I'm almost through the podcast link I put up that supposedly the Snowden crew are behind (called 'saving sister wife', it's on iTunes and on some other link I posted) .. Wow, they don't really censor themselves on that, and they aren't prudish. I was actually surprised to hear some things that Vanessa said that I don't really want to repeat here. It wasn't like it was politically incorrect, it was more like eww. I did a quick FF through the wedding stuff so I have to watch it again. The outfits, Vanessa in particular struck me as kind of 1980's Stevie Nicksish…. except the shorts. -

I cant remember if they got 2 seasons or just the one but yes they seemed less slick and that was what I liked about them. I don't remember if the jealously was any worse than what we have seen on other shows. I picked up more like who was friends or supportive with who and who walks on eggshells and just quirky weird stuff. Brady didn't strike me as either playing the 'look at me me the fun guy!' or macho posturing. It wasn't on long enough to get a real feeling about their separate personalities. I think they occasionally youtube but it would be awesome if they came back. -

I've been holding off on watching this, and the more I read from you all, the more I have to see it (never worry about 'spoiling' stuff for me. I keep thinking of that foreign film 'raise the red lantern' where there's 4 wives (but it's in historical Chjna and it's more like an empire), but even that was more like the kodster and crew than 'AVD' (Ash, Dimitri, Vanessa). I'm not sure there is anything at least 'western' as far as precedence goes that isn't straight up 60's or 70's hippie commune deal that even approaches this group. All these add ons everyone keeps posting like foot-washing, and of course the obligatory bindi, the Erica Badu headwraps which I don't know is some cultural thing or a fashion thing, there's the Dimitri always-in-a-vest thing, the weird alkaline cooch diet... oh I almost forgot to tell you about this podcast they have, apparently they have altered the name to 'saving sister wife' or something probably copyright issues https://www.listennotes.com/da/podcasts/saving-sister-wife-reviews-hosted-by-the-nM2LjDvbZyX/ It's pretty darn weird and no doubt ppl here will have something to say about it, I just want to see what people say about the three episodes on there. -

I don't even take into account whether or not I 'like' them, they are entertaining. I do like Ashley's 'don't give a shit' laid-backness. Sometimes I wonder, is she actually that chill or is she on the medical pot? Is it possible for anyone in this kind of lifestyle to be so 'totes whatevs' as Ash? That is what makes me feel like she is over birthing/banging the guy and has started to look at it like a job position she gets Vanessa to fill. Aside from tv money, I mean how much does a .. what the hell was it Dimitri does "design experiences"? Ontological architect? Is that even a real thing or is that like a made-up thing and he actually doesn't have a real job? I'm going to watch this tonight and never mind getting spoilers, it just gives me more to look forward to. Can't wait to see TSHTF at their shin-dig , all the relatives drama and the kooky clothes. I guess I've gotten used to the usual kind of plygs and this is just something totally different, which adds its own novelty I suppose. I do miss Brady and bunch, don't know why they got cancelled or whatever.
