I understand your apathy regarding superheroe films. I am a Marvel fan that started out as a DC fan simply because I grew up with them. I have liked films from both. Personally speaking I give the edge to Marvel due to it's overall optimism versus the cynicism of DC. Furthermore, the rivalry between Marvel and DC dates back decades long before the crazy fandoms of the internet. I do think we live in such a polarizing world where if you don't believe what I believe then you should be destroyed. I tend to stay away from crazies on the internet. I enjoy a healthy debate, an exchange of ideas, but, I refuse to get into an argument over a difference of opinion. We like what we like, full stop. People are allowed to dislike a movie and others are also allowed to like it.

True, However, it sets up wonderful stories and conflicts for the franchises that will continue in the next phase of the MCU. How will Wakanda react to T'Challa, Shuri and others coming back.. 5 years is a lot of time to be gone.

I feel bad for Lani and losing her baby does not make her maternal feelings and instincts to go away. She lost a full term baby. Even females in the animal world will at times transfer their maternal feelings to another. On a show, I saw a lioness mothering a deer calf, it was so sad to watch. Her maternal instincts overrode her predatory instincts to kill it, she protected it from other predators. It was very moving to see. The person narrating it said she had lost her litter of cubs to male lions a week ago and she was obviously still traumatized by that experience.

I am intrigue about what happened in Wakanda without a king for 5 years. A series on that would be interesting. It could be a nice Segue before Black Panther2 arrives. I guess my fantasy of Steve living anonymously in Wakanda with Bucky as the White wolf will never happen. Since we now have multiverse in the MCU, perhaps they are doing just that.

I know that Kate is no saint, but has Maggie forgotten who she married. I don't understand why she hates Kate so much and her whole attitude is just bizarre. She looks unhinged and lacks any self-awareness. A self-righteous hypocrite.

I want to thank you guys for summarizing the show today. I wanted to continue being Megan free and stress free, so I chose to not watch today. I knew Megan was going to make Biden all about her.. She is a narcissist, I don't like throwing that word around but it fits her perfectly unlike her ill-fitting clothes that she wears on the show. I am happy that Biden is in the race. The party needs different ideas to get stronger. I always wonder if his son Beau did not get ill, if he would have gotten into the race in 2015. It could have been interesting to see Biden up against Sanders for the nomination.

Post partum depression impeded her mother from bonding with her as a baby. Her mother bonded with her other siblings though and made it clear that she did not care for Sheryl. Plus, Sheryl and her late twin sister spent time in the NICU that probably deepened their rift. Sheryl is opening more and more about her late mother who was not a nice person. She had a podcast with Aisha where she said more horrible things that her mom did to her.

Good on Kandi, I am glad that she took a stand against Phaedra a vile and dangerous person.

The ladies of the talk had a very nuanced discussion about Jussie Smollett situation. While they did not approve of what Jussie is accused of doing allegedly, they don't believe he should be ruined for life either. The friendship between Carrieanne and Sheryl is just so heartwarming and beautiful. Their discussion about getting a final loving goodbye from their respective fathers before they passed away had me in tears.

I agree wholeheartedly with you about Theresa, they like to write people into a corner and then have to walk it back with a lame redemption story. You can have characters make mistakes without resorting to murder or attempted murder. This show is making a serial killer a romantic lead and look how psycho Claire has become.. She is pretty so Ron will redeem her at some point. Looks are all he cares about. If Ben looked like Charles Manson, he would not be trying to redeem him. I have always liked that JJ likes women of color without fetishizing them.

True! things change. I used to be pro-life myself until college. Don't forget that her parents got a divorce and we don't know how that affected her rigid views of marriage.

I think it stems from her Catholic faith and not Manny. I grew up Catholic and the church is very clear about divorce gender roles and children. It is why she is Pro-life. I also think her education gave her an open mind, while she is pro-life for herself, she will not impose her beliefs on other women. Sunny calls herself a feminist. Not too many women who are pro-life would call themselves that. Sunny is complex like most people, a mixed bag of contradictions. I don't think it is fair to say that Manny is the root cause of her insecurities. Also, Manny is of Caribbean descent and machismo is part of Caribbean culture and I grew up with men like Manny. So there are a lot of layers to unpack..

As soon as I saw Hope hugging Rafe with a dreamy look in her eyes, I rolled my eyes. Was Kristian always such a horrid actress or is it the actor who plays Rafe that is bringing her down. In any event, I am sick of Hope and her awful relationship drama with the lunk. It is demeaning for a character like Hope with her history on the show. Gabi and Stefan are hot, but, I wish the actor was playing Alexander Kiriakis. Alex messing with Gabi would be so soapy, especially if he gives Gabi her miracle baby and how that would affect Wilson and Arianna.

Don't forget the media is only focusing on White males, So Elizabeth, Kamala, Amy and the men of color are not getting any air time. Plus, I don't trust polls..

Megan grew up privileged so she never understood what women like Gloria had to go through to exercise their rights as human beings. Also, it really bothers me when Whoopie dismisses the feminist movement, yes, some were racists against women of color. However, there were some women who were inspired by Black women and what they had to go through as Black women in America. I wish Whoopie would educate herself on certain things. I was really shock to learn on how many Black women were part of the movement. Gloria has always mentioned the Black women who were part of the struggle for equal rights for women.

She acts like she is the only one who has veterans in her family. Joy's father fought in a war and Sunny has a cousin who was injured in a war, I think he was disfigured if I am not mistaken. Yet, you never hear them bring them up to try to shame people into agreeing with their point of views. Megan is just an awful person in every way. What was so funny, she was expecting the audience to be on her side with her rhetoric and there was nothing but deafening silence. Joy was looking at her like she was crazy. Joy's expressions give me life.. On another note, I think that Whoopie and Abby have really bonded. You see they really have grown to really care for one another. I see none of that between Whoopie and Nutmeg the big baby.
