I wish for once that somebody was tempted to fall off the wagon not because of stress, but because they still crave alcohol or drugs.. Addiction never goes away and it would be nice to see that type of story once in a while. This is the same show that made both Jennifer and Eric addicts and I never bought it for many reasons. It is possible for somebody to drink to excess and not become an alcoholic.. There are people who use drugs recreationally and never get addicted to them. Everybody's brain is different and I would love to see that type of nuance. I would have preferred Jennifer to have killed off Dan and Eric covers for her by claiming to have hit Taniel while driving drunk. It could have also been Lucas grieving for Will who did the deed and Kate framed a drunken Eric.

She is doing it in the hope of making money, she is always bitching about taxes. There was a time Whoopie used to look like she rolled out of bed and got into her limo that dropped her off at the studio. Barbara used to look disgusted at her bag lady outfits..

I don't know about the show having many years left. Star just got cancelled. I think the show's future is contingent upon Terrence and Taraji wanting to continue the series. Taraji works consistently with her projects and she has said that Cookie takes a lot out of her. I have no doubt that Terrence Trai and Bryshere will work as well when the show is done. Trai in particular was wasted on the show. He is gorgeous, talented and he could sing. Lee had no idea what to do with him other than misery and angst. I really liked Jamal but he got most of the attention. Even Jamal never realized his full potential as a mini Luscious.

I wonder if W'kabi was dusted in prison. What about Nakia? I assume she was dusted as well. I would have loved to have seen Nakia and Natasha on an adventure together, oh well!

They knew all along because her husband sent out racist tweets against Ana.. I suspect that is part of the reason Nutmeg did not get an invitation to Anna's wedding.

I would love to be around Joy Ana and Sunny and hear from them how they really feel about Nutmeg. Nutmeg is a joke and I am enjoying the blowback that she is receiving from everybody. Does anybody on here know if the right is defending Nutmeg? I have not seen or heard anybody coming to her defense.

Megan is still licking her wounds..lol The so-called tough chick cannot handle any type of criticism for her own stupidity. Her behavior yesterday was so telling, the constant laughing, kissing Whoopie's ass because she protects her and indulges her stupidity. She knows that Whoopie is the only person other than Abby who likes her. Joy tolerates her professionally and Sunny is over her as well. Anna not inviting her to her wedding was the final nail in the coffin regarding their friendship that was due solely to Anna's respect for her late father.

Going by the consensus on here, Lee Daniels and his writers missed a great opportunity to integrate Kingsley as a Lyon while writing out Jamal indefinitely. It reminded me of Charmed, where an obscure plot point in the early seasons gave the writers a way to write out Shannen's Prue and bringing in Paige a long lost sister into the show. It allowed the sisterly dynamic to continue on the show. Lee could have done the same thing with Kingsley regarding Andre and Hakeem as they deal with their new brother who is just like their dad. Cookie could have even bonded with him as well, in spite of her misgivings. Eventually, Jamal could have come back for a short visit and even more drama could have ensued. Also, more could have been done to explore Kingsley as a character. What a waste!

Making him a priest made no sense, it just neutered him for no reason. Not to mention, GV played him like he was scared of sex or ashamed of loving sex was just a turnoff. I did like him and Nicole reconnecting at the church. He could have become a psychiatrist like his mom. Perhaps, Nicole comes to see him about therapy and their old attraction could have come back putting Eric's career in peril because a Doctor is not supposed to get in an intimate relationship with a patient..

I have not been watching the show, so I have not been posting on here. I just wanted to say that I love your post. I absolutely adored OG Eric, Jensen was just so beautiful and a wonderful actor. He was everything that I envisioned the son of Roman and Marlena who was raised primarily by John would be. His Eric was heroic without being self-righteous and he was capable of getting down and dirty like his twin sister Sami. He schemed with both Sami and Kristen, so, he had layers to his character. I always felt it was a mistake that Eric was not recast after Jensen left for greener pastures. His twin relationship with Sami should have been special and nurtured throughout the years, oh well. This show has had missed opportunities for years now.. It is a shame..
