  1. I know it makes no sense but I want Nelle to have pillow pregnancy. It's an oldie but goodie soap plotline. Max Gail should win all the awards. I was grinning and then I cried. And most incredibly I was touched by Sonny's response. I really wish we could keep Max Gail. My list of unwanted characters: CarSon, Jason, Spinelli, Olivia, Lucy, Franco (Roger could come back as a better character), Valentin, Bobbie, Joss, LuLu, Nelle. They don't have to have funerals or any kind of grieving. Just go away. Folks I'd enjoy seeing more often: RF!S, The Exceptionally Attractive Curtis Ashford, Drew, Deanna, Epiphany, Kim (as long as she doesn't get stupid over Drew), Dante, Lucas, Chase, Finn w/Anna minus Son of Faison. I forgot to mention how great Ava looked in her white ensemble.
  2. Good Grief!!!! Grand Hotel looks awful. Who is co-signing this garbage? Damn Disney, what's up? Makes me think of Acapulco Heat. At least that had Fabio as a guest star ;) ;) ;)
  3. Credit BlancheDevoreaux with the Gunsmoke reference. She mentioned Miss KItty in her post. ;)
  4. Winston Wolfe, I was referring to Kim the character in my post. I didn't like Robin's dress either but everyone had already covered that and Sam's Gunsmoke barmaid dress pretty well. Sorry for the confusion.
  5. My random thoughts: That was fun. Everything was so over the top and that's really saying something for this show. The Phil Collins drum break scene let me know I was in for a real treat and I was not disappointed. I loved Mr. Hill being utilized but the security has been so lax I wonder what he's been doing. Maybe he's just developed a laissez-faire attitude about everything. He knows all, sees all, and doesn't give a damn. I understand Eleanor being disillusioned by Robert, not so much about the letters but his actions as a monarch. And of course being Eleanor, rebellious Royal Princess of Drama, one must sit outside the palace, smoke a joint and have a photo bonfire. Hearing Robert's convo with Willow about "one voice", "not everyone should have a voice" was disturbing. He's despotic and tyrannical and all the things a ruler should not be but Max Brown makes me want to excuse his "confusion" and hope for a rapid redemption. Willow has me in the same position I was mid season with Robert, questioning her actions and motives, wondering if she's playing a far deeper game than everyone else and hoping for the best. The fashion this episode was not what I expected. Eleanor had on a white dress that I called the 'sad bosom dress' cause it just didn't fit her correctly. Her dress for the wedding was unexpectedly unremarkable with breast flaps that looked like boxes. Willow's bridal gown and veil weren't giving me a royal wedding look either. Willow is beautiful and doesn't need a lot of enhancement but her dress and veil looked real basic. Low key for the Queen of England. She was dressed better at Helena's birthday party. I started watching this show because I was intrigued by the off kilter Jasper and Eleanor relationship. I wanted to see how they would make their way from using each other to a loving relationship and I have enjoyed the journey. At no time have I had an interest in the love life of Liam. So although I'm curious about the appearance of Lucius (former imprisoned Lord Chamberlain) I really don't give a damn about Kathryn, baby royal (or whoever baby Daddy is), or Liam's current lost monarchy. I'm really hoping for a Season 5 and a Happily Ever After for everyone. P.S. I've enjoyed participating in this forum. Thanks for the shoutout EarlGreyTea. I hope all we get the opportunity to continue discussions. P.S.S. Anybody got recommendations for shows to watch during the hiatus. I lean toward sci-fi/fantasy .and historical drama. GoT, SH, Preacher, The Alienist, Night Manager are things I liked. Thanks.
  6. Wow. Saw a close up of Kim's dress today. Seriously, where on Earth did these gowns come from? Do the actresses get some kind of hazard pay for wearing them? Is it an acting challenge/exercise to wear atrocities while attempting to emote? I felt real embarrassment for some of these people. Valentin is such a drama queen. He has zero levels of chill. There is no intimidation factor so how can he be any type of villain? He and Nelle lack any believable skills for scheming or villainy. They're just lame and annoying. There is a lot of musical talent in the cast, hopefully they get to use it in a better venue. Reading the explanations here of Nelle and the blanket made my head hurt, not because they were poorly written but because the situation is so damn stupid. Mike is really charming and I'm going to miss Max Gail when his storyline concludes. BlancheDevoreaux I wonder how many here know who Miss Kitty is? I would prefer watching a hour of Robert Scorpio in the peeling paint room of captivity to another second of the Nurses Ball. Doesn't a ball usually have dancing in a ballroom? Not that I want to see anyone dancing but what makes this event a ball? It's a fundraising talent show. Question: One year in lieu of the actual Nurses Ball didn't GH just ask for contributions to the cause?
  7. Did the hair staff get laid off? Or did only certain people get hair done? I agree with most of the fashion critiques and award fashion awards to Joss (age appropriate, nice color), Alexis (dress and hair were excellent), and Stella ( another hair and dress win). I'm very concerned about Robert. The rest of this can go to hell.
  8. Sorry/not sorry. Penguins set me off.
  9. Why is this show so awful? On its own and in comparison with B&B, Y&R, and whatever they're doing on DOOL, GH is the pits. I am so not interested in baby switching, half assed gaslighting, attempted serial killer redemption, and unnecessary character destroying mother and child reunion. Why are a mobster family and crew supposed to be civic leaders? Why has the city's pre-eminent family been decimated down to a in-law , a nephew and disassociated twins? What is the point of all this ? Certainly not entertainment. Disney is all about entertainment and has access to outstanding creative talent but this show is being overlooked and ignored. BS like this makes me rise up out of my apathetic state and just scream WTF???
  10. What happened to that nurse Michael tried to flirt with a couple of months ago? She had dark hair and a personality. I liked the interaction between them. He smiled and seemed engaged.
  11. Liam has the gravitas of a 13 year old so I can't ever conceive of him being king. Nor can I imagine a Willow/Liam pairing because she's so far above him. Kathryn is just his speed. I don't quite have a grasp of what the monarchy is supposed to be about in this show's canon. Have they evolved to a place where they function as a kind of public relations business for Britain or is there some kind of old school holdover of power? Robert has yanked power from the elected political groups quite easily, with no backlash from the public that we're aware of so how's that working? Is he a one man show running the entire country with no assistance? Am I giving this way too much thought cause it ain't that serious? Max Brown has sucked me in! I'm very sorry that Sebastian got caught up in the palace shenanigans. He was a good guy and I liked him with Helena. Willow is a warrior goddess and should rise from upcoming cataclysm smarter and stronger than ever. I'm kind of anxious about where this is going to end up next episode. Which is a testament to the actors and writers that I even care enough to wonder about it. I'm totally here for #RenewTheRoyals and #RedemptionForRobert
  12. Thanks for the clarification nilyank and coffee drinker.
  13. And a big STFU and die to: Nelle, Carly, Olivia, Lucy, Jason, Franco... Good to see you Patty McCormack. Little Rhonda from the Bad Seed was a bitch with a plan who could really teach Nelle a few things. Do the networks still have sweeps in May? I'm not getting a sense of the show building toward anything monumental, just more mediocre/tiresome storytelling. I want to see Robert, Drew and Curtis do anything together. I'm still enjoying Kim because she seems sensible. I hope that continues (fat chance). Why is Spencer wishing Jake Happy Birthday? Weren't they enemies? Is this a set up for summer hijinks? No thanks,
  14. I remember Jaime Murray from a British show named "Hustle" about con artists. Kind of like "Leverage". She did a good job as Antoinette and has believable chemistry with DG. Hope she survives.
  15. 'Lucas has reservations'. Where? At the Metro Court? At that Gastropub? This show is so full of it. Give Lucas a full storyline, not this drive by, pop up BS.
  16. This episode was outstanding. Acting, writing, casting and direction were all excellent. Bravo.
  17. OMG, nilyank, OMG. Such an excellent soapy idea. Very old school soap. Much too good for this show.
  18. Even a Robert Scorpio appearance couldn't make today's show better. It was awful from beginning to end. Anna is what? Going to pretend to be Henrik's mom in order to draw him out and then drop the truth on him if he's deemed worthy of her love? And then. reunited, they'll work together to give The Helena Frightener his comeuppance? Ooh, can't wait for that. The intense "I'm not feeling you like that" JaSam vibe is so hot. Can't wait to see more. Damn right that was sarcasm. As noted above who'll play Dad to Finn and Chase? What star from the good old days will be recruited? Someone handsome with greying dark hair and blue eyes? Any candidates? Griffin these people are not your flock. They are un-shepherdable. They will never have a come to Jesus moment. They are EVUL. The writing for all these stories is headache inducing.
  19. Thanks for the rapid response EarlGreyTea. So that means audience response has no bearing on what's happening on screen. It was written in a vacuum. Too bad for us and any hope of influencing the outcome. I feel your SH pain. ;(
  20. Does anyone know when filming was completed for this season? I'm curious about if TPTB were aware of what they have in Willow and Robert both separately and together. Previous posters are exactly right about writers traipsing past the important elements in their relationship. It is unfortunate because Max and Genevieve are really capable of selling all aspects of a complex relationship. Plus the actors look like they're having fun. Phoenics, do I recognize you from the ill fated Sleepy Hollow fandom? If so I completely understand you not wanting to witness the possible upcoming train wreck. Protect yourself, I'm right there with you.
  21. Lulu is Queen Dumbass and needs to sit her broke foot ass down.
  22. Damn, Robert. I was willing to work with you being shady and manipulative but slipping off into megalomaniacal isn't attractive. Pull up, pull up. I loved every second of Cyrus and Jasper. That was an unexpected treat. Willow is wonderful-sweet Willow, tripping Willow, no f**ks left to give Willow, no BS Willow, all the Willows on display this episode were awesome. I understand the necessity of Liam getting Robert under control, I'm just not into it or him as hero. He's deficient in some way and its worrisome. I can't support Robert but I'm not at all interested in King Liam as endgame. Maybe OG king was right and the monarchy should be abolished. Plus-Queen Kathryn!?! Hell no. As much as I have enjoyed this season I have missed Mr. Hill. He's the sole voice of sanity so I guess he doesn't fit. Even Cyrus is sounding rational at this point. I'd like a Season 5 so we can get a Robert redemption without him hurting Willow and a HEA for everyone. A cliffhanger as the series finale will suck. Wow. I was writing my comment when omgsowicked's posted. So sorry for the similarities. Basically- what she said, very on point.
  23. Robert F. Scorpio makes everything better. Do you think perhaps he might see his brother while in town? I want him to stay forever. Even TV Guide mentioned how special he is. Drew kissing Elizabeth's head was kinda cute. Maybe it could heal her of this Franco fixation. I prefer Finn/Anna to Finn/Alexis but while this son of Faison foolishness is going on I'll deal with Finn/Alexis. Franco contacting the Jim Harvey victims seems wrong. If it must be done maybe a letter would be better than a phone, a little less invasive. Like others have said this is more about Franco's pain resolution than helping the other victims. Seems mighty selfish. The animal tranquilizer I requested for Nina can also be shared with Lucy.
