  1. And once again Delilah is incapable of managing her own life, and needs others to handle everything for her. Not interested.
  2. Thanks, but I didn’t recall her name. Almost all law professors are lawyers.
  3. But “celebrity” because Walhberg lived there. I wouldn’t care, but some people might. Looks like Matt is trying to raise his profile on the show, instead of being just josh’s brother. Not a good thing though.
  4. I’ve assumed that for each episode the producers request a comment from CO$, and to do that they would need to give some basic information, or ask questions, on the topic. This response was more lengthy, but was still along the lines of “you are all lying liars.” i am less enthusiastic about this episode than the rest of you. I was more interested in what cult the SFPD cop got out of, but I don’t recall it being mentioned. All the training she mentioned would be useful, but difficult for questioning, because who is to decide what religion is a cult, such that the police use these techniques? There are folks who don’t think Islam is a religion, or that the Mormons are a cult (to name just 2). And ultimately, unless the police and prosecutors are willing to being in experts to testify at a trial, you’re still left with witness testimony that, as an example, says Masterson couldn’t have committed a rape because he was elsewhere with said witness. on that topic, anyone else see the article on a guy charged with murder, who says he acted because of Scientology. Apparently Leah has been subpoenaed as a witness or expert. https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/arizona-best-reads/2019/02/06/mans-defense-double-murder-case-scientology-made-me-do/2703324002/ i didn’t know CO$ had previously been tax-exempt, and am now interested in how it was taken away.
  5. A death certificate needs to be filed with the county. Yeah, of course they could fail to do it and just bury her. But if he has a tame doctor, why not just announce she died of natural causes? They announced hubbard’s Death.
  6. They could be filing separately, and if she has no reportable income, no reason for the IRS to notice.
  7. Well, partners at firms make far more money than associates, so he would be taking care of his child financially. It used to be that partners worked far less too, but that’s not as true anymore. But they don’t always do the same late nights as associates, they aren’t doing the grunt work. It’s also true that, at least at large firms, generally if you aren’t promoted to partner (and presumably if you turn down partnership, which almost never happens, you don’t stay at the firm. You are given time to find a new job. So the entire “Katherine doesn’t make partner but stays at the firm” doesn’t make sense. It’s possible, but not the norm. on Rutledge and Delaware. The other document names make it seem this is some deal (though who knows with mis-direction). A lot of companies are incorporated in Delaware due to their favorable corporate laws, so that made sense to me. ha, I missed that the skyline should have changed. I also missed the reference to the painting being bought on Jon and Delilah’s honeymoon. Did she never wonder what happened to the painting??
  8. It's borderline unethical for Katherine to represent Delilah, because of the affair and looming divorce. Even though Delilah asked for her help, there's just too much of a possibility of Delilah later claiming Katherine didn't have her best interests at heart. And she can't be doing it pro bono, Delilah has too much money/property for that to be reasonable, and as an associate at the firm Katherine doesn't have the clout to just declare the firm is representing her pro bono. Did new partner/non-boyfriend advise Katherine to make the demand to have 6-8pm guaranteed "out of office" time when she was trying to accept the partnership offer? I'd be pretty pissed if that happened, and then they gave "her" offer to him. But that's not really how law firms work anyway, generally there's a "class" of new partners, everyone is announced at the same time. Wasn't she supervising him not that long ago, indicating he was a younger associate? I don't believe that Jon committed suicide over the property deal. Someone above mentioned it was probably "a million little things" which makes sense (though finding out one of your best friends is screwing your wife isn't "little"). Though note, Wikipedia says the show title is a reference to friendship being a million little things. They are showing him as this massively successful real estate developer, ok, he blows it, he declares corporate bankruptcy and moves on. Tough on the family that he took a mortgage out on the house (and seriously, they had that house paid off???, there's serious money from somewhere), but without any other problems he gets up and starts again. The show may be trying to say he was never that successful and it was always a house of cards just waiting to fall, but that doesn't make the victim very likeable, and doesn't explain the mystery apt. I have to believe the apartment and whatever happened there, or happened that caused him to no longer live there, is involved. And everyone is right, Delilah not being interested in the apt made no sense. Heck, her statement that she didn't know any of the people in the photo album because "that was before I met him" makes no sense. Did he NEVER talk about his college years? How old are these people anyway? If in early 40's (Delilah managed to get pregnant without any medical intervention), and she and Jon have a 16 year old, she didn't meet him that long after college. Say Delilah is 42, she had her daughter at 26! And Wikipedia says Gary was 35 when Jon died. I know the plot has the guys meeting in a random elevator and bonding over hockey, so they don't all need to be the similar ages, but still. I guess Jon could be significantly older than the others, but they haven't really shown that.
  9. On the voids, didn't they eventually say the scans can only show differences in the composition of the ground, and it's an interpretation that there are voids? I noticed on the "bolt" that while they kept claiming there was a design, they never showed it clearly. Hmmm.... And even if it is Roman, that doesn't mean it was left on the island at that time. Even the "Templar" cross could have been handed down through the generations and left/lost on the island centuries later. I keep thinking they could do carbon dating on the dock/boat slip wood. But then that might be bad for them, since if the trees are less than 200 years old, oops, no Templar or Mason made that dock. I did like that they finally admitted they knew there was a prior dock at Smith's Cove, so that isn't really an "undiscovered" find.
  10. Did they admit it’s a boat slip? I missed that. On the drains, that triangle looked pretty small to me, and I agree it’s odd they haven’t looked further. My dvr taped a bunch of episodes I watched last night, so I’m not sure if the last one I saw, where the huge casing loses its teeth pushing against some hard object and they put a camera down to see what’s going on. But when the hole filled up with water quickly I just thought there are so many natural ways for water to enter, who needed to create box drains and tunnels?
  11. I agree, yet he isn’t above it. Or it’s all manufactured drama. But why he thinks this is a good thing for his professional reputation is a mystery to me.
  12. As long as he discloses (and the show has shown him telling sellers that an offer is from his client) it’s not unethical. Typically it’s not really good for the buyer or seller, since the agent knows exactly what you will pay, but... i expect Josh A could add that addendum, stupid and petty as it is. What makes no sense is real estate contracts usually are for a specific time, so all the seller would need to do is not renew the contract. I vote for Josh A lying on the freebie, in part because none of these guys work for themselves, and I doubt the real estate agency they work with/for would agree to give up their share of the commission. The realtor doesn’t keep the full 6%. The theory of the seller being confused makes some sense, but Altman should know one of these guys can’t just give up the commission. I thought the “entourage” house was a former home of Mark Walhberg, where “he” lived with a group of friends, thus inspiring the show Entourage. And while I despise Altman, Walhberg is a big “Boston guy” and the Altman’s are from Boston, so his fanboy makes some sense. going back a few weeks, Josh A was an ass about the #1 real estate seller v. tracy’s #2. He has a much larger team, and the award was likely for total sales of the team.
  13. What the heck is going on with that photo? She looks like she has a third breast in the middle below the. Bra line, and her left arm looks blue.
  14. I’d start with a pair of reading glasses over asking random people on Twitter.
  15. My first thought on the “wall” was that it’s an old dock. I haven’t been watching from the beginning, but I wonder whether coastal erosion has affected the outline of the island. Since people were living on the island in the late 1700’# they could have put up a dock. But of course it has to be an ancient coffer dam or “something,” one that worked better than 20th and 21st century ones!
  16. Thanks for that article, interesting that it mentions the airborne danger as due to "For instance, allergic persons who are exquisitely sensitive to fish or shellfish can react to tiny aerosolized proteins that float in the air when seafood is being fried, steamed or boiled. There may be an increased risk of this in seafood restaurants where large quantities are being prepared and served piping hot." (article language in quotes). Interesting that the problem seems to be during food preparation, and on the plane the food would be heated up while covered and in a sealed microwave. So I'm not sure how much airborne danger there really is for fish. I agree with others that allergies can get worse over time (my allergy to dogs certainly has!), and perhaps that's what's happening with B, though I fall on the suspicious side of anything she says. I'm also surprised no one else from the plane has apparently commented on the situation, since I doubt B was whispering her concerns while on the plane. That too makes me suspicious of the story. If she or her assistant called once or multiple times, my guess is the airline thought they dealt with the concern by having a special "non-fish" alternate meal for her (like they used to do veggie or Kosher meals in steerage). I'm not familiar with the joys of flying first class, but don't they have at least 2 meal options?
  17. If the idea is that climate change and our failure to deal effectively with it resulted in all the damage, wouldn’t version 2 work more directly on that? Try to change public opinion, encourage science, etc. I suppose if they stop 9/11 it would allow the US to not spend trillions on wars in the mid-east, but they’d have to stop Bin Ladin et al too, because they would continue to try to attack the west.
  18. You’re not alone! I learned a couple of years ago I have the same thing. Can use “polysporin” though.
  19. Unrelated but did anyone see entertainment tonight todatpy? Leah has a movie coming out, Second Act. With her good friend Jennifer Lopez.
  20. So odd they used Time After Time as the song at the end. Not sure I like the Christmas bow, but certainly better than the usual “it just ended.”
  21. I remember listening to the song a couple of years ago and suddenly wondering about the "what's in this drink?" line. And the lines about how she's hurting HIM by not staying. But while there was such a thing as a "mickey" back in the 40's, I don't recall hearing it was used by guys to seduce girls. And if we reject old songs because of lyrics that now aren't pc, well most of the 60's pop is gone (jeez the number of songs where a woman is singing she can't wait to be basically owned by a man is unbelievable)! Never mind that a ton of rap/hip hop and heavy metal would be gone. I do think the singer's tone matters, the Dean martin version sounds playful to me, the Elvis one is a bit creepy. But let's not ban the song over today's interpretation (and I do find this different than songs with derogatory terms about various races or ethnicity).
  22. The Midge of Season One was totally a housewife. I can visualize the "3 before 30", because she probably came up with that idea in her teens, while dreaming of her perfect wedding and classic 6 apartment. Even the comedy, she was supporting her husband's desire to be a comedian. I don't actually think she had a nanny; currently her parent's housekeeper helps with the kids, and she was shown in Season One dropping them off with sitters or her mother (and her mother's housekeeper). I think Midge would be intimidated by not being the smartest woman in the room.
