  1. I like the show, and enjoyed seeing Mel's growth during the season even if she obviously undermined all of it with the credit card fraud. I'm still wondering how she thought that would work out for her. Did she really think she could just steal that money and get away with it?
  2. I'm not sure. Abby Elliot and Chris Elliot are the only father/child pair who were both cast members, if I'm remembering right.
  3. Is it really a solid episode when nothing stands out as good or bad? For the opener on what is a big anniversary season for the show, I thought it was kind of meh. The cold open went on too long, and while Jean Smart seemed game, it felt like they did not know what to do with her. And what was that joke about Chinese-made drivers during Update? I'd like to think we were past lame jokes relying on stereotypes about Asians being bad drivers.
  4. Airing September 27, 2024. Season Finale.
  5. Airing September 27, 2024.
  6. She only does a few episodes per season now. She isn't leaving the show.
  7. I think in the last season of Station 19, he was having health issues that made it so he couldn't continue as a firefighter? Can someone remind me of how Bailey can still work at the clinic, while being fired from the hospital? When Link reminded Glasses he already had a kid, I'll admit I had completely forgotten said child existed. I was curious who was watching said child with Amelia with Meredith and Link at the hospital. I guess it must be the 24 hour a day Grey-Sloan daycare. The worst moment of the episode was Bailey's slap only being a dream.
  8. I was thinking like a more upscale Love Boat, if the doctor was the star of the show.
  9. I don't know. I feel like finding his car abandoned should have at least raised some kind of red flag for the investigator. After all, if he was just breaking things off with his girlfriend, why would he abandon his car?
  10. I know the show requires a lot of suspension of disbelief, but for someone who knows so much about so many topics, it's so odd to me that Morgan knows so little about basic police procedure. For example, last week she didn't realize the problem concerning admissibility that came with stealing that letter from the safe in the dead lawyer's office. This week she was about to handle evidence without wearing gloves. These are basic things that could be gleaned from watching any cop show. I don't expect Morgan to be an expert, but it just struck me that it feels like these are things her character would already know.
  11. Yes. It certainly said something that Gwen and Evan's fight was mirroring that of two teenage girls. It also says something that the fight resolved because of an emergency, rather than the two adults resolving the underlying issues. On the positive side, I liked Evan's jacket.
  12. I don't know. Both American Crime Stories on OJ and Impeachment managed to cover serious topics without relying on gratuitous nudity or trying to sex up their main subjects.
  13. I honestly have no idea what to take away from this series. Some of it was just gross and exploitative. Kitty walking in on her sons having shower sex was unnecessary, much like nearly every scene that had the men shirtless, or in skimpy bathing suits for reasons that had nothing to do with the plot. I really have no idea what to make of Erik and Lyle's allegations regarding their parents. Lyle is portrayed as a skilled liar, but also really, really dumb. Erik is something of the same, without having the same kind of crazed outbursts his brother does. However, Kitty and Jose seem awful in their own ways. It's very hard to tell what is the truth. It was also interesting to see how Dominick Dunne was portrayed in American Crime Story about the OJ trial, versus how he was here. Here, he was overly invested, while in that, he was detached but still having dinner parties to entertain his guests about the trial. I did like Ari Graynor. I felt for Leslie during that awful second trial. I'm not sure if the Judge was really as awful at the trial as he was portrayed, but you know things are bad when the Judge is essentially allowing the prosecutor to testify about the defense attorney's trial strategy.
  14. So is this like the gay porn version of the Menendez killings? I can think of no particular reason, except to titillate the audience, for having the guys running around in Speedos, and kissing one another in a way that does not suggest brotherly love. I understand it comes out that Lyle sexually abused Erik, but this particular scene did not suggest that.
  15. Airing 9/26/24.
  16. I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop on her credit card fraud. And yes, disrupting a wedding like Mel was planning is delusional and is going to end badly, even if the groom was into it. I did like Mel's airport friends banding together to help her try to overcome her fear of flying.
  17. Within the world of the show, watching Gwen's outfits get "sexier" as the episode progressed so she could try to improve her standing on her student's hot teacher's list was funny. In reality, yes, a teacher trying to make herself sexy so the students would view her as hot would be sad. I was wondering how Evan didn't get disciplined for pulling that stunt. I didn't love the episode. I thought Evan acted like a baby through most of it, and everyone ended up getting punished because Evan couldn't just let taking down the gun club go.
  18. I was confused about his money as well. He must have access to some kind of trust because I can't imagine his father is providing him with support. I also agree that he was right not to co-sign a loan with Mel. It's way too much money, and if something went wrong, he's on the hook. As to the rest, Mel was right that he's not a great friend. Asking her to pass up potential advancement because of his daddy issues was wrong. He ditches her when it suits him, even on her birthday! I was also a little confused about his comment about being Mel's only friend. It seems like, even before she got her new friends, she had people that liked her and enjoyed her company. Is she not friends with any of them?
  19. That's an interesting idea. The only thing that would give me pause is that I don't know if Sazz would agree to something that cruel unless she was forced to do so.
  20. I appreciated we saw that it wasn't really about a made up diagnosis. It was a lot of teen drama that simply presented itself with a nonsense diagnosis. I think we saw that Evan was inappropriate with his fired ex-boyfriend at school, so telling him not to date staff seems okay to me. I mean, he's in Austin. There are thousands of people he can date outside the staff at his high school.
  21. It just felt like a time waster to me. I'm not entirely sure having the Hollywood version of the group around is working. I feel like Eugene Levy understands his assignment, but Galifinakis and Longoria aren't really doing it for me. Maybe they will improve as the season progresses.
  22. It says everything that Will and Abby provoke a fight over the cake, create a huge mess, then the scene ends with Abby calling for the maid to come clean things up.
  23. I'm not quite sure of her Boston accent, but I was happy to see her in this. And whenever she talked about her sons, I did want someone in the background to sing: "Your sons are going to be rapists!" If you haven't seen Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, then forgive the reference.
  24. My impression was that she loved Benji "enough," and she desperately wanted to be married before her mother died. I think Abby might have made a snarky comment about the wedding plans being pushed up.
  25. Realistically nothing, but I suppose that given the family is supposed to be uber-wealthy, even the staff was going to be snobby about a cheap-ish seeming gift. I'll also say I was with Greer about telling Amelia to put something on over her bra and shorts when Amelia, for some reason, needed to go outside to release the ladybug. Use some common sense girl. There's nothing about your need to set the lady bug free that couldn't wait a moment for you to put on a shirt.
