  1. I taped today's show but don't really care to see Sherri's "greatest hits". I did see the end with Sherri's farewell speech tho. Jeffrey was cute & well-behaved. That carny must have straightened him out.
  2. Daniel: I've done some despicable things. Tawney: It doesn't change that it's there, your goodness. But if you keep that goodness to yourself and you don't share it with the world, then that's a greater sin than anything you think you might have done in the past.
  3. Along with a brain impediment. She was actually arguing against the smart gun because they'd likely be so expensive that New Jersey housewives wouldn't be able to afford to arm themselves. What the hell?! I felt like Whoopi wanted to reach over and smack that girl. ETA: Sorry for repeating what you said, Stacee. Really though. What the hell?!
  4. True, but he had ulterior motives for taking Daniel to George's to begin with. It's easy enough to erase most of his fingerprints from there and leave Daniel's DNA where he wants -- along with placing George's gun & wallet he brought from his house in Paulie. I also do not doubt that Trey's DNA was all over Hannah's death as well. The more we see of Trey, the more diabolical he reveals himself to be. He was having fun fucking with Daniel's head. If Trey got away with it once, he may be so bold as to think he can again. Daniel is becoming so gullible with all the drug use. It's getting tiresome.
  5. Good, quick thinking on Ted Jr.'s part about making up the Fauxlger's story. I cannot stand the woman DA, and that plea deal is crap. Stoned Amantha was fun. Can we keep her that way please? Yeah, Daniel's fingerprints are all over Georgie's trailer so it seems that Trey is setting Daniel up for George's death --- or disappearance at least. It's almost like Trey was recreating the drugged-out party scene similar to when Hannah was killed intentionally to mess with Daniel's head while incriminating Daniel (again). I'm not totally convinced that Trey killed Hannah but he's quite smart, in a very dangerous, devious way. George's "Live Oaks" trailer park may not have been the way Trey first described it, but after Trey brought out the drugs and booze, it sure did turn into "Satan's Butthole".
  6. According to that article (dated yesterday) it states that "Sherri bids farewell to the show tomorrow". Is that true? Am I misreading?
  7. Bwahahaha! I loved all those paintball scenes. When Keith had David's two fa-la-la friends cornered, he pointed his paintball gun at one and said, "Jeanne" (SPLAT!) and then the other "Tripplehorn" (SPLAT!). _________________________________________ After David's ordeal of being tortured by Jake the hitchhiker, he finally told Claire the truth about what happened --- a very emotional scene. Claire was shocked and unsure of what to say to comfort him..... David: While all that was happening, it didn't occur to me to pray. I forgot to pray. Claire: That's okay. God saved you anyway, right?
  8. Whoops sure did name-drop Babs. Said it was her show and would always be her show. (I'm not so sure about that) I have a feeling that Rosie will return as moderator and Whoopie will second chair as well as doing more remote bits. (That's fine by me) Regardless of how The Spew is revamped, I think it will be the last year for Whoppi.
  9. Absolutely. Any other time it would have been Amantha threatening to leave a boot print on whiny-girl's face. Glad to see it wasn't. Amantha even tried to shush him at one point. Seems like a conjugal visit from Jon has mellowed Amantha out a bit. Either that or she's basking in the glow of making 'Employee of the Month' at Thrifty Town. __________________________________________
  10. @Ronin Jackson, I believe there was a Lost episode entitled "Tabula Rasa". I don't remember much about it though. Sort of ironic to think about Daniel, that music and Lost. __________________________
  11. I don't dislike Carl the sheriff as much as I do Senator Foulkes. Carl seems more apt to be fair while Foulkes is bound and determined to see Daniel back on death row. I don't like that Carl spilled the beans about Daniel's attack on Teddy but I also think it's going to backfire on them somehow. Teddy wants it kept quiet so he may be unwilling to help them nail Daniel for fear of public humiliation. And there's still my nagging feeling that Foulkes has a more personal link, some kind of knowledge, to Hannah's killing that he doesn't want revealed. Just a feeling. _________________________________________
  12. I do believe that there were multiple semen samples found on Hannah from that night of her death. It's safe to say that the 3 guys crossed paths, possibly partying together, that night. (IMO) Last season Jon was listening to Daniel's taped confession. If I'm not mistaken, there was a comment by Daniel about "it being so real", but I can't be positive. Daniel probably repeatedly made that comment while high on the mushrooms, even in front of Trey, and it would make sense that Trey was mocking him at the gas station.
  13. Wanted to add that I agree that Amantha was quite likeable this episode, and I LOVED the scenes with Jon and Amantha at the skating rink, especially Jon's response to the woman who confronted them in the parking lot. She told them to take their PDA and do that somewhere else. Jon: How old were you then? Five? Eight? Woman: I was old enough. Jon: Old enough...for what? To listen to what your parents told you and believe it because they told you it was the truth? Afraid to think for yourself? Scared to look at all the facts? And for what? So you'd be afraid to admit to yourself that you might be wrong? Could you go do that somewhere else?
  14. I liked this episode much better than last week. Man, there is certainly bad history between Daniel & Trey. The tension was palpable. Did anyone find it odd that Trey asked Daniel about being free seeming too real? That's been a theme with Daniel sometimes pondering what's real. Something dark happened the night Hannah was killed and only Trey & Daniel share that dark secret IMO. Georgie was probably aware of it but he can't say anything of course. I saw some hesitation at Tawney's desire to be pregnant at this time, under the recent conditions with Junior, but I didn't read far enough into the notion that she might consider an abortion. That's just not who she is in her religious beliefs IMO. I think the tension will not abate given that she asked Teddy not to say anything but he did anyway. Also, the chemistry and sense of connection between Tawney and Daniel is still there. ETA: @peeayebee beat me to it about Tawney. ^^^ I also wouldn't give any more thought to the idea that Daniel & Tawney had sex or that she's carrying his baby. They didn't do more than his attempted kiss. This show wouldn't veer into that cliched scenario. I could be wrong of course, but I'm not. Ted Sr. is a saint. He just is. After the blowup with Janet, he treated her with such courtesy and respect, and I loved his defense of Daniel's gift to Janet, even though it really is a bit of a hassle to install a gas line into a total-electric house. I'm with @nosleepforme about the music being especially beautiful this week. I also agree with others that the score during last scene with Charlie the Chaplain was screechy and mystifying. I take that as the way Daniel was hearing it in his head. I felt it paralleled the dissonant thoughts that cause Daniel to question what is real and "normal". __________________________________________________________________
  15. This was one reason I had a fleeting thought that Lezley (and the party scene) might be one of Daniel's "goat man" visions/experiences but the previews disavowed that notion, along with Trey hearing the shotgun blasts when he was wading in the creek. That was pretty creepy.
  16. Would Sal be considered property? Seems he rented himself out for about 60K.
  17. Janet: I don't think we have to tell sad stories; life's too short. Daniel: That's exactly why we have to tell 'em...
  18. Unsettling episode. Amantha and the wet blankets is hilarious! Did she get any training AT ALL at the thrift store? Her incompetence was just embarrassing. And I thought Abigail Spencer's acting was particularly bad in her first scene with Jon. He hugged her and she said she was SO glad to see him, but nothing in her actions/expressions showed that to be true. Maybe it was a director's choice and not the acting, I don't know. Teddy and Tawney all cuddly and getting along? Cute and sweet....but Teddy still makes me ill and I'm nowhere near ready to make nice. It's always good to see Leon Rippy, but Lezley is not doing Daniel any favors that I can see at this point. Hope the drugs in Daniel's pocket don't come back to haunt us all. Blowing the Michael Bolton CD "all to bloody hell" was my favorite scene from that whole deal. Also agree that Ted was absolutely correct in setting rules & the way he handled it with Daniel. The over-protective mother in Janet was completely unreasonable. The friction between them was unsettling. That makes me wonder about Janet and her sad story. The unsettling, conflicted feelings she lived with for years. 18 years later and she has her son but conflict continues. Her son's on death row forever, there are dates set for his execution, she's trying to steel herself for his actual dying and then he gets a stay, then another. How would a mother handle anything of this magnitude? Would she have been able to start healing if he'd been executed? Was it easier knowing he was in prison but at least alive? Then, her son's released back into the world and she has to adjust to the notion of a life that wasn't a reality for 18 years. Start it all over. Act as if... ______________________________________________
  19. The one that gets me - and it's more of a lie rather than just stupid - is when she says something like, "Well, this topic is certainly not gonna go away anytime soon so we'll be sure to keep you informed."
  20. I didn't pick up on any eating disorder theme with Amantha, just bored and aimless eating to match her state of mind. I wonder though how soon it'll be before she's booted from the new job. As soon as a customer makes a damning remark about Daniel, Amantha's gonna raise holy hell. "Donald's" Atlanta adventures were illuminating, to say the least. Absolutely loved Peggy's interaction with Daniel and seeing Frances Fisher in the role. Almost everything said between those two were quotable quote-worthy. I do want to see her back in Daniel's company and as an ally - as opposed to someone who sees only a quirk, or a flake. Peggy , I feel, will most definitely lay eyes on the photo of Daniel and the two others on Facebook or somewhere and track him down. As well, I loved the scenes with Daniel and Kerwin's family. I immediately choked up and whimpered a couple of times. The meeting of those three people who knew & loved the good things about Kerwin just tugged on my heartstrings. Daniel's visit was a blessing to K's mother. I listened to this episode with headphones for the first time and thought the quirkier-than-usual scoring was amazing, and was somewhat surprised to read complaints. There was nothing distracting in the least for me. Definitely different but fitting IMO. Another great episode with the exception maybe being the awkward coffee-grounds-trickling-into-the-anal-cavity admission by Teddy to Carl. Teddy's a tool. Strange that he would even bring up that conversation at all if he wanted no one else to ever know. The only thing that doesn't make Teddy a complete dumbass is that Teddy realized Daniel was trying to teach him some "strange psychological lesson". No, I take it back. Teddy is a complete dumbass.
  21. As Daniel ("Donald") is eating with the ladies while visiting Atlanta: "Donald": I'm from Alabama actually. Lady at table: Oh, I'm so sorry. That was a wildly popular attitude of most Georgians I knew growing up.
  22. Oh, hell naw! Sarah Palin ready to 'go rogue' on 'The View' USA Today Speeeewwwww!
  23. in good wigs and in bad...
  24. Hee. You just KNOW this is already in the works!
  25. I am a Gabriel Mann fan and his scoring of this show. Also love The Low Anthem. I had a feeling that the episode entitled "Charlie Darwin" would feature the song from their album.
