The Other Duggars: The Lost Girls and Amy

Or knives? -
I misread, since I have not been on Free Jinger for years. That is the email I received, too.

Did anyone else get an email stating that the administrator needs you to change your password for this site? I can get on the site just fine. I think this might be a scam.
-
I am so sorry. I have been in that situation, and understand how you must feel. Please take care of yourself.

The Opera browser has a great ad blocker feature.

The last iPhone update wasn't very good. While I'm not getting ads, the calendar on the iPhone is now useless. I'm not sure what they were thinking, but now it is cluttered, and it is very hard to enter appointments on the correct date. If you are getting ads--or have a problem with the updates-- email www.Apple.com/feedback. I have been told by an Apple tech that they really do read feedback emails.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
CalicoKitty replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Anna's headship would probably be transferred to Pecan Thief. He would definitely keep both eyes on her. She would never be left to her own devises. And I doubt Anna would know how to live without a man telling what she can and can't do. Just like Not Nurie--she has been under BME's thumb forever, and has never been allowed to make important decisions on her own. Any ability to run her own live has been squelched from birth. Sadly, she needs her mom there to run the show. Also sadly, Not Nurie's husband seems incapable of standing up to Jill. That is one very sad situation. -
Feeding pumped breast milk is a common practice in a NICU. It is nothing noteworthy. Certainly nothing to post about. She is such a braggart. (I hope Not Nurie is getting enough good food to eat) The NICU also has several specialized formulas to use as needed. And regular formula. How other babies are fed is absolutely none of Jill's business. Other babies are not her business. She has no business even being there. That poor staff. Poor Not Nurie. Poor Gideon. Jill causes stress wherever she goes.

I was surprised that I had to replace the rubber door gaskets on my two year old refrigerator. The appliance repair guy was surprised, too, but he said mine were not the first ones he has replaced. I have never had to replace door gaskets before, ever. I just hope the new ones last a lot longer. They were pricy.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
CalicoKitty replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Josh is spoken about in about the middle of the second episode. Full screen facial picture, and a picture with Michelle. They point out that he was working for an organization that preaches home and family, mentions that he was accused of molesting 5 girls, and is in prison. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes total. -
Normal people would be amazed at what nurses have to put up with. Normal people follow all the rules and appreciate what you are doing for their child. Trust me, as a nurse you really appreciate the normal families. We once had a baby that had been in our ICU for several weeks. The parents decided that that was great time to remodel their bathroom. When we called and told them the good news that their baby was being dismissed the next day, they actually asked if he could stay for another week so they could finish the remodel. Our neonatologist said the baby could stay, but the parents would have to pay $3000 a day, since there was no medical reason. They took their baby home on schedule. Families do, and expect, really strange things. I do feel very sorry for the staff and visitors that have to deal with the mess that is the Rod clan.

Where I used to live in California, thieves would rent a U haul pickup and follow right behind the UPS truck. Several people had video on their Ring doorbells. I'm glad this package was not "lifted". I put up with 8 years of mail theft before I moved. You would think the delivery company would be a little more careful. I'm so glad this all worked out.

Holmes Family Rescue - General Discussion
CalicoKitty replied to LittleIggy's topic in Holmes Family Rescue
Didn't Mike say that he had reported the guy to some board, or something like that? Something about being reported to that agency was very serious. I didn't catch exactly what he said, but I had the idea that there had been follow-through. I certainly hope so. -
That Temecula woman was awful. I was feeling very, very sorry for her husband. I can't imagine living with that attitude and facial expressions every day. The lovely woman was a pleasure to watch. That pipe in the basement was a clean out pipe, so it wouldn't be used unless there was some kind of clog. I have never had the pipe inside the house, but I know where mine is outside. It was sealed with a cap.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
CalicoKitty replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
Unless a family goes together on a "family reunion" cruise, I have never heard of reunion lasting more than one day. My Grandfather's family has been having a yearly reunion for over 100 years, and they do have a golf tournament on a different day than the picnic, so I guess you could say their reunion is longer than one day. But not weeks. -
She was one of the most enjoyable house hunters ever. I wish her true happiness in her chosen home.

Maybe MM put his foot down and demanded Jill remove the posts. I'm sure she didn't ask (or tell) him that she was posting his private business. While I understand wanting privacy, I'm beginning to wonder if this guy has something in his past that he is wanting to stay there. Maybe a situation with a former "girlfriend" that he doesn't want dug up. After all, just saying "hello" to a girl twice is a scandal in their circle. And, maybe, he doesn't want to live a public life.

I don't remember if my dad's casket was paid for, or if we bought it. It had a canvas-like covering, so maybe it was a government issue but I'm not sure. It was fine because it was covered with a flag during the service. The headstone and engraving was paid for. But, as you mentioned, there were a lot of other fees and services that we had to cover.

The Other Duggars: The Lost Girls and Amy

I didn't recognize KC at first. He looks amazingly like my cousin. It's rather disturbing. My cousin is absolutely not a Fundy!
