Yep. I can totally believe that the previous writers were meandering around this plot of killing off mob bosses without settling on the big bad yet. It makes sense to me if PM & EW looked over the storyline and decided to tweak with what would be the best way to move forward with this story by having Ava being behind it all. And if she has been playing Nina all these years to crush her also in the process even better.

Despite how popular Ava is, I think her relationship with Trina extended her time on GH. I think with Trina, it showed that Ava could be someone that she could be supportive 100% without a hidden agenda.Something that she wasn't really with her daughter or brother or whatever her love interest was at the time. It was an easy resting stop before the show figured where to fit her. They moved her away from mob central and moved her onto Nikolas. Not that any of the actors playing Nikolas with her were anything to match her performance but it moved her to another part of the show with the Cassadines and most especially with Laura. It never made sense to me that Trina was originally so pro-Ava when they first met considering how close/loyal she was with Joss. Sure she was super impressed with Ava the gallery owner and wanted to intern there, it should have been professional relationship for the first few months with a slow build-up between them.

Carly couldn't let Nina keep her job at Crimson because she was not Nina's boss. Drew fired her. Carly took the job to get back at Nina and she agreed to stay on the job because Drew talked her into it. All the other confrontations have been between Drew and Nina. This petty war is continuing between both of them as they both are plotting against each other.

I did the math. If she does 10 hours a week, it would be about 2 years of community service. Let us remember that Cameron was sentenced to a year of community service for the crime of not buying weed for Oscar.
