I'm even more convinced after today's show that we're supposed to be drunk for this. First, it was another day of ad nauseam reminders that Sarah thinks she's "Tony's old lover Renee Dumonde" as if Tony has so many lovers named Renee that her last name is necessary. Then there's Kayla, the Chief of Staff doctor of everything who was able to take unlimited vacation days on no notice and return with the staff's other doctor who now needs a vacation on the psych floor. Call in a shrink? No, Kayla must not have wanted to disturb Marlena's Valentine's Day. Or maybe she didn't want to risk Mardevil making a reappearance and messing up Sarah's already warped mind further. Notify her family? But no, can't upset Maggie. And yet, despite the fact that it's clear Sarah's elevator no longer goes to the top floor, Kayla more or less washes her hands of her and leaves so-not-sane Sarah at the Dimera House of Horrors where she got injected with the brain scrambling serum in the first place, dumping the problem on Tony and Ana, even though she's not really family. I guess (I fear) we're in for weeks of Sarah being the most obnoxious houseguest since Susan last came screeching into town and puked on Marlena's carpet. It's almost as if Ron read all the comments about how annoying Sarah's baby voice was, turned to his fellow staff writers and said, "They think she's annoying talking to Zander? Here, hold my beer." Lastly, under that black cardigan, I'm pretty sure Jennifer was wearing a Beetlejuice suit. And the chicken was drugged making him think he's C.C. Capwell all these years!

That was the best line of the day! If only Tony would have then chimed in, "But I heard a rumor he was living in Santa Barbara after that." 🤣

Orpheus is back? YES! Everything else sounds kinda boring, but this sounds very promising.

For a second there, I was wondering who Steve and Kayla were gonna wake-up tomorrow and be too. Would Steve think he was Neil Curtis? Alex Marshal? Eugene Bradford? Maybe Kayla would imagine she was Megan Hathaway? Tamara Price? Or Julie? 😱

Agree Anna was overbearing. Plus, Gwen isn't her problem, though once she has to start dealing with Sarah I-think-I'm-Renee-Dumonde Horton, she may wish Gwen was her problem. 😁

Anna was suspicious of Gwen back when Gwen was still living at the Dimera mansion as the nanny. It was one of the times Anna and Tony popped into town and they first met her, probably about a year and a half ago at this point. So not recently. Definitely before Abs knew Gwen was her sister.

Take a drink every time someone says Renee DuMonde. Ron wants us drunk so his writing doesn't seem so bad, right? I can't wait till someone tells Madwoman on the Island that she's dead. That outta be fun. Surely it wasn't written in her diary. Given that Sarah's probably not more than 100lbs even in a soaking wet wig, I'm willing to bet any one of them could just pick her up and throw her ass on the plane. What are we on day #6 of Valentine's Day week? I'm starting to suspect that while the Salemites are chugging their green beer at the Brady Pub next month, the rest of us will be eating Easter dinner.

I'm wondering if Allie is going to be devil #3. We know from the teasers that she's there when Ciara is in labor. After yesterday, her brother is trying to fight his way out of the devil, and Allie is now in a vulnerable place, having her tryst with Chanel exposed and being dumped by Tripp.

I considered it might be a script writer instead of Ron too, but then I figured he should at least read what they wrote once before they film it. Like an editor reviewing something a staff writer typed up before publishing it. When your name is the one going on it, it's usually in your best interest to check the work of those under you.

I'm reminded of the old TV show Twin Peaks when Leland's hair turned white after he killed his daughter (or was it after the niece?). So anyways after Nancy bangs Tripp at the Salem Inn, she walks across Horton Square with bright red hair back. 😁 #HowNancyGotHerGroveBack

If you have to ask your best friend-lover who you recently cheated on your boyfriend with if you're ready to get married....uh no, sweetheart, you're not. 🙄 Probably also not a good omen when you run into a man whose marriage is ending because he's switched teams when you are on the cusp of proposing to your girlfriend. "You want to grab a drink with the woman you just dumped on Valentine's Day?" -Chanel. Oh Ron, if you're writing for network television you could at least write grammatically correct dialogue. You want to grab a drink on Valentine's Day with the woman you just dumped? Correctly placed modifiers matter.

But for some reason this time they didn't know they were going to be preempted. Or at least didn't know far enough ahead (given how far ahead they tape) to be able to make the time/storyline adjustments. They are clearly off schedule.

I'm gonna guess this was originally meant to be their Valentine's Day story. If the Olympics hadn't interrupted, today's episode would have been the Thurs before Valentine's Day. Which would explain why it was a lackluster ending for a Friday. So whatever airs Monday and Tuesday next week would have been the Friday and Valentine's Day Monday episodes.

I'm 100% w/ya on Charlotte Ross if Eve is going to come back. She's the only Eve in my book. When Kassie is in the role, she's not Eve to me. Might as well be another character.

Crazy but true! I recall them saying boarding school at one point too, but then I think they said college when Sami and Lucas were at the pub getting ready to leave town. Ron probably can't remember what he wrote from one time to the next. Or he's already planning for her to return to town in her 20s.

I, too, have vague memories of that time frame and remember Renee. I only saw it periodically back then, but I did start watching before she was killed off. I remember seeing her later on Another World and thinking that Days should bring back her character.

It's been mentioned once or twice recently that Sydney is away at college.

If only MTV still showed music videos. Then maybe VK would have a career on the hood of White Snake's car. 😁

Too bad Days doesn't do a story where Roman thinks he's Chris Kostichek. Can Kristin loan him Chris's diary the next time she drops by the pub? Just the scene of Kayla trying to convince him otherwise should be fun. Kayla: "Ew, Roman, you're my brother, not my ex-boyfriend. Please stop trying to hit on me." *Scurries out of attempted embrace.* "KATE, Kate, help me out here..." 😁

So maybe Ciara's obnoxious egotistical personality isn't "acting" after all. And if the real-life break up rumors are true, I'd say something else of hers wasn't being fulfilled anymore, hence the real reason she quit. Or got fired.

Abigail said she gave Kristin enough drugs to sedate a horse, yet she only made it as far as Sarah's room before a woozy but armed Kristin caught up with her. Either Kristin is stronger than she looks or Abs might want to recheck her calculations. Clearly math and chemistry aren't her strong points.

Now that you mention it, Clyde does sort of seem like he could just walk onto the set of the Beverly Hillbillies and blend in.

I had the same thought; my teenager also watching had the same thought; and then I remembered when you're in a soap opera you make poor decisions. 😁 Never the less, it was good to see Days back today.
