Current Plots Discussion: Actually Today's Episode

I love this ⬆️ Now I'm totally picturing her screwing it up so when CIN cuts into the cake they find a rainbow. Actually, I wouldn't put that past Ron just to drag out the suspense. Rafe and EJ in jail together has some potential, but since Rafe has been sitting in court for well over a week (2 weeks?) now I'm betting Orpheus. I doubt it's Rolf since there wouldn't be much drama there. If anything, EJ owes him his life--literally. I suppose it could be Jan too. Statesville goes co-ed cells. 🤣 -

Plus didn't Ciara have an ultrasound done at the hospital in the beginning of her pregnancy (real world doctor offices generally do it around 8 weeks) that would have confirmed the number of fetuses. I distinctly remember my ob/gyn telling me there was just one, not twins. So if Ciara is carrying two (or more), apparently Kayla can't count. -
After taking a several years break from this show, I came back in March of 2020, which would make just 2 years and I'm sure I've seen Brady in bed with Kristin in that time. Specifically, she was on the run but snuck back into town and into his Salem Inn room, maybe around the time John was in the hospital.

It would be really funny if the results read: "We couldn't tell. The tail was in the way." 😁 -

Clyde: "Good help is hard to find these days." And doesn't the Salem hospital know it! Preach it Clyde. And let me be the first to roll out the welcome mat at Chez Cin's. I think I'm going to enjoy this uninvited guest if he intrudes on the obnoxious love birds. But that sure was a fast parole board meeting and trip from Statesville. Did Clyde order an Uber and then force the driver to speed the whole way to CIN's new apartment that he knew the address of how??? Allie: "I guess you heard Tripp and I broke up." "I guess you heard I got my wishy-washy ass dumped," would have been the dialogue I would have gone with. But I'll give her points for asking the million-dollar question, why does the devil care what the baby's sex is? Since he's possessed both men and woman, he's apparently an equal opportunity employer. G-devil: "Surprise, surprise. That'll work." Won't it have to? My teen in the room during that scene: "What's the surprise? It's either a boy or a girl. Is there a third option for this kid?" Meanwhile, Belle has no memory whatsoever of doing any devily deeds, but Marlena and Doug knew what was going on even if they were a little hazy on the details. Marlena clearly remembered what she did to Paulina, and even 95-year-old Doug knew the devil left him and went to Marlena. No one, not even law graduate Belle, thinks her complete and utter amnesia is odd? Shawn the cop is living in Hope the cop's house and it's awfully damn easy to break into. Plot holes and plausibility issues, Ron. Plot holes and plausibility issues. -

I've had that YouTube site a time or two. Heads-up, there's also one where the camera angles are way off. Now that one is practically unwatchable. -
I'm up for watching those two morons take care of a demonic baby if I have to watch them at all. No more all day sex romps. Just constant torture from something smaller than a breadbox but smarter than their IQs combines. Come on, tell my you wouldn't enjoy Ciara getting explosive baby poo all over her boob popping dresses and hair? Or that moment when she looks beyond Ben and says, "Oh my God, Ben, Bo. Jr. is playing with your neckties."
-
"Twitter teasers show the birth of the baby nears. It appears Ciara Brady is held captive in the cabin on Days of our Lives The only other person around is her cousin Allie Horton. Does Johnny kidnap Ciara and his sister?" I'm still holding out hope that it's a possessed Allie who delivers the baby and then passes the devil onto their demon spawn.

The devil has mad powers, but it needs medical technology (the results of an ultrasound) to know the sex of the baby while a flighty psychic can just glance at an open envelope. 🙄 Dear CIN, You know a great way to keep the sex of your baby a secret? Just freaking tell the ultrasound tech you don't want to know! They don't give a shit if you are having a boy or a girl so they won't look or give you the answer if you want it to be a surprise. Sincerely, Mom of 2 Kids Whose Sexes Were Revealed at Birth When the Nurse Looked Between Their Legs #NoStaringAtAnEnvelope -

Agree, this is the second time in two days (probably the same day in Salem) that she's discussed confidential employee information in public where it can be, and has been, overheard. And one of the people she's blabbed her big mouth to is her nosey niece the reporter. If Marlena wasn't so distracted trying to exorcise her daughter, she surely would have heard she's being fired through the grapevine by now. Kayla's behavior is definitely not cool, surely against hospital policy, and possibly not legal. Also, her tongue must be a nice shade of brown by now because that was some major ass licking of Abs she did today. While I think MM is doing well with devil duties, this exorcism is a pathetic, laughable mess. It's surely a "don't try this at home" type thing, right up there with trying to rewire your whole house or dig your own inground pool. What in the hell is John and Marlena's reasoning for not calling in a professional when their daughter's life and soul depends on it? Or at least they have been lead to think it does. -

Yep, this will totally go to his head. Won't even fit through the Brady Pub door anymore. -

Yes, Bo was responsible for Steve losing his eye in the first place. The got into a knife fight after Bo caught Steve in bed with his girlfriend, Britta, who was playing them both. This was when they were younger and in the merchant marines together. Later, when Steve came to town, Bo didn't like or trust him. But by the time Bo and Hope sailed off into the sunset a few years later, Bo had thawed towards Steve and they were more amicable, eventually returning to their old friendship. -
If Clyde can get out of jail, Orpheus better be close behind. He at least has shady ISA connections that it would be more believable that they helped pull strings to get him out. But mostly, I want to see Roman hire Orpheus at the pub. It's about time that Days addressed the fact that Chris-Roman is his wife's killer, not John, and thus Orpheus's Salem plans should involve him. The Orpheus of the '80s would not be content for Roman to live an easy life pouring beer at his family pub while his wife rots in her grave.
-
Roman hires Clyde??? To do what, sell drugs with his burgers? Lucky for TR there's a new drug dealer in town.

If Saranee is annoying to them as much as she's annoying the hell out of us, I guess they'll even resort to Rolf's help. 😁 I kinda wanna see Belle and Abs share some major lip locking. Can we get a scene where Chad re-envisions walking in on that? I'm curious if his reaction changes. After all, Belle is already tied to a bed in his house. Super convenient for Chabby. And Belle hasn't yet cheated on Shawn with another couple. lol

Please tweet the hell out of this and tag Ron! I want to see this so bad. Bonus points if Ben has the same reaction as Tony, where it conjures up all his feelings and goes along with it. -

In addition to Kayla being the jack of all trade doctor, Salem hospital is apparently trying to save money on lights and Recovery staff. Poor Eli alone in the dark immediately following a gunshot wound to the head surgery. Good thing he waited till he had visitors to seize. Had a fairly common surgery a few years ago, and when I woke up in Recovery, the lights were all on and a nurse was sitting right next to me. Speaking of short staffed, Eli's in a coma, and Rafe's in jail. Lanni's at the hospital with her critically ill husband. Man, Shawn is going to be working some serious overtime. I thought the first actress (PW) did an awesome job with the role and really made it hers. As a result, I've been disappointed ever since in NuChanel (RB). Really wish we still had the origional actress. -

from googling: "In 2018, when Neil's daughter Sarah returned to the canvas, a conversation with Maggie referenced the fact that Neil "would have been" so proud to know his daughter became a doctor, implying that at some point, Neil had died." Now the next question, has Salem hospital had a pediatrician on staff since Neil left??? -
Thank you; I knew I forgot some, and this was probably the worst of the zombie citizens.
-
Technically half the town should be zombies. EJ, Steve, Roman, Marlena, Orpheus, Will, Ava, etc.

"Breaking News" disrupted a part of the episode, so I missed some things, but came back in time to figure out that Tony's balls must still be in the wine cellar, and Belle must be upstairs getting prepped for an exorcism while Saraness is downstairs being committed. #GoodTimes@TheDimeras LOL @ Anna's "He's dead!" line. Her patience is wanning, and I don't blame her. It starting to sound like Tony needs a good shrink to deal with this better. Good news for him, Marlena has lots of open time slots. Alex Marshall Zander Cook sure had Abigail's number. Sanctimonious bitch indeed. Kinda left her sputtering like Porky Pig. -

I agree, the pacing is off. Yet again, Ron either rushes it or drags it on. I too thought WC was doing an intriguing job with TR, leaving it open as to whether he was reformed and truly regretful or not. Now there's no question, and he's clearly super bad guy. I also feel that Johnny needed to have been on screen longer and better established before being the devil. Ron needed to bring adult Johnny on canvas sooner (like when Allie showed up). His personality wasn't clear cut before he became the master of evil so it's hard to tell at times how much his actions are completely the devil and which are just because Johnny might be a bit of a dick. With Doug, Marlena, and Belle, it works better. Even Allie has been on long enough that the devil would be more of a contrast with her rather than her twin. Ron is investing way too much time with the devil being in Johnny. A few episodes with a few snazzy lines would have sufficed. Right there with ya! 'In a soap opera, you make bad decisions' kept running through my head the whole time. -

Arrogant IMMATURE ass for sure. I used to work in publishing and while it didn't happen often, occasionally an author would want to respond to a bad review and we'd always tell them, "don't do it!" If you're going to be a writer you have to learn to take feedback and constructive criticism as well as let things roll off your back. Clearly, Corday needs to give him a time out from Twitter.- 5.7k replies

If Ron is going to rip off another soap, I'd rather he went Dark Shadows instead of Passions. Then we can just send Saranee to the past. Maybe have her get eaten by a werewolf while she's there.

Murder Park strikes again. How did T.R. get into the Salem Inn and his room without getting blood on the doorknobs?
