The first thing I thought of when the psychic said, “Shite in nining armor,” was, “Who wears number 9?” Jaimie Tartt, that’s who—and he’s been known to be a shite. I can’t picture Jaimie and Rebecca in a romantic relationship, so, ??? (Yes, I’m binging the season now that I won’t have to wait for the finale, so I’ll find out soon enough.)

I just binged both seasons. The acting was excellent in both, as were scenery and sets. But I found all four characters to be unlikable, with moments of sympathy for each. All four seemed to behave selfishly and lack empathy. Although the way society treated women and effeminate men, you could see why Scott and the Duchess fought back against being used by powerful men. The court judgment readings at the end of both trials were horrific, proving the point.

I’m super grateful to not have another Easter Peeps spot, although some of those bunnies were eeeergh. And yet, the banana duck was even creepier. I am really, really hoping that the more people get exposed to the actual Meatball Ron, rather than the idea of him they get from right-wing headlines, the less excited they’ll be about him. Yeah, he mentioned briefly a little while ago that the pandemic restrictions would be ending and how great it would be to see everyone’s faces in the audience.

Last night’s A Closer Look was hilarious! I loved the conch shell gag, but when he took a bow after the Mr. Poppinscotch scene I heard Jon Lovitz’s voice in my head shouting, “Acting!”

Fun cold opening! Love seeing Bowen doing one of his truly outlandish costumed characters outside of WU. They must have been reworking that sketch right up to the last minute, though, as the balloon wasn’t shot down until ~2:40pm today. He was probably greenscreened against sky/clouds before having to be switched to the ocean.

The real reason was that no one could stand to have him around because he was so obnoxious. River actually got that scoop from his grandfather.
