Every time I see Edie McClurg, no matter the role, I want her to exclaim that someone is a "righteous dude" a la Ferris Bueller.

I can't believe I forgot to mention my excitement at John Smoltz being on the ballot for the 2015 HoF class. Between him, the Big Unit and Pedro this could be another class for the ages just like 2014.

Loved all of the red herrings in the episode from a grumpy Calgary bound Edie McClurg to the stoner dude to the walking boot chick to the almost too chipper gate agent to even thinking Tony's father got caught up in another hare brained scheme. Oh, and wondering if Jake was to be trusted. The only thing that sort of side tracked me was a connection to Bogota out of Dulles as I believe such a flight would more than likely depart JFK or Miami instead. Could be wrong, though.

I have never heard of anyone being able to switch pitch. How cool is that.

He served in the navy with JB and was dishonorably discharged due to drug possession, and JB was the one who turned him in.

That episode gets me every time.

My only real complaint with the show is it can often be sloppy from a geography perspective. Details such as having mountains/hills visible in the background of what is supposed to be the Metro DC area or forgetting how urban Fairfax County actually is are minor disappointments in a show where I would expect more.

When Gibbs said something to the effect that he was sorry his father never met Carrie I wondered if they were going in a romantic direction. If so I approve.

I didn't know the season started last night so I missed the first 30 minutes of the show. I found Adrienne more painful to look at than usual thanks to too much Botox, or whatever she's using. Was Eileen Davidson ever shown? I watched Y&R during my college days and always liked her. Oh, to have heard Harry Hamlin talk in depth about the 'Mad Men' wrap party. He's brilliant on that show.

For the second week in a row the show made me cry, this time when JB's father said his son was all he had. I don't know the name of the actor playing the father but his subtlety during the scene really moved me. Salli Richardson-Whitfield is gorgeous. She might be my new girl crush. I liked how kind and compassionate Gibbs was toward Anna and it keeps seeming, at least to me, that he's becoming more of a father-like figure to various secondary characters moreso than usual. All in all a very good episode. And yay for whatshisname for bringing Abby flowers at the end.

My first reaction was where in the hell are the Marlins getting that kind of money?

I know voting is done before the post season begins but damn, Yost should have won the thing based on the regular season alone.

I hate it when NCIS makes me cry. Or maybe I should say I love it.

You and me both, Smittykins. Good thing I don't own a farm.

De Grom has the best hair in sports since Jaromir Jagr laced up in the NHL.

S25.E07: Pretty Fly For A Food Scientist

Misti needs to lay off the layers of caked on makeup she wears at all times, even in the wee hours. Sometimes less (or none at all) is more. Sicily, wow, I had no idea it would be that beautiful. I loved the go-cart race up the hill and also the opera task. Over all I found the episode to be enjoyable and very much worth staying home for on a Friday night. -
I'm amazed at the memory you guys have. I've watched TAR since the first episode of season one and aside from that first season I really can't remember which racers appeared when, or where the show went when.

Yes, Cain would have been worthy and aside from that he's damn pretty himself!

I'm a secondary Rays fan (they're the closest team to me geographically and I get their games on TV) and yes, it's upsetting. At first my anger was directed toward Maddon thinking he pulled a fast one but now that the true story is coming out I can't believe how inept the Rays organization is. Now I can say good for Maddon. ETA: I just read that Joe Maddon owns a Winnebago he's nicknamed 'Cousin Eddie.' Awesome.

There are a few PO'd fans here in Orlando as well. Something fishy is going on and I don't like the way it smells.

That's a beautiful quote from Mike Matheny and now I'm tearing up too.
