I love how the Royals, Orioles and Pirates are in the playoffs while several of the big guns (including my own Braves) are staying home this October. It would be nice for some new or newer blood to win the World Series and I can honestly see a Beltway Series becoming a reality. Not sure I can say I'm bored with the Tigers since Brad Ausmus brings so much pretty to the table.

I can't tell which is the mother and which is the daughter because both women look amazing. One of them was mugging a bit too much for the camera, at least in my opinion, but it may have been adrenaline or sheer excitement so I'm willing to give her a pass for now.

I was hoping Jim's orange hue was some sort of makeup that would wash off when he went into the water, revealing a normal looking person underneath. Yeah, that didn't happen.

I enjoyed the episode and was happy to see Bishop in a limited role but my favorite part was at the very end as when the show ended I exclaimed out loud "no one fucks with Leroy Jethro Gibbs!!"

I don't watch that show so I've never heard ath-a-lete but that reminds me two other pronunciations that drive me crazy. First is "real-a-tor" for Realtor and the second is how many locals pronounce the nearby beach town of New Smyrna as "New Sa-myrna."

As much as I enjoyed Pittsburgh's march to the post season last year I am enjoying Kansas City doing the same thing this year. I tuned into the Rays game this afternoon and it was ugly so I switched over to TBS and saw the Tigers playing at KC and the Royals are exciting to watch! Looks like they play a bit of small ball which makes rooting for an AL team a bit more palatable for this NL snob.
