  1. I wish the queens wouldn't portray other queens - I think it makes it too much of an in-joke. I like it much better when they do well-known celebrities - JMHO, of course. Having said that, I LOVED the Marlene Dietrich, and "Miss Colombia" is pretty funny, too. ETA: Michelle Visage agrees with me about queens playing other queens, LOL!
  2. I have to speak up for Sheila a little bit here. I was in a similar situation to what she describes when I was younger. I was not at all comfortable with casual sex and did not enjoy it nearly enough for anything to happen, if you know what I mean. I took plenty of ridicule for that. Told I was a prude who didn't like sex, "damaged goods," and "needed help," and especially - as you mentioned above - "none of the other girls are like this." Which just infuriated me because guess what? I'm not any of the other girls. Later on, after being in a long-term relationship for a while, everything was fine. Men don't understand that there are some females who don't enjoy casual sex and no amount of pushing or ridicule or threats to leave is going to make them enjoy it. It may be that she's crying in the upcoming scenes because Nate - who is clearly a player and used to women who are just as happy with casual sex as he is - said something stupid and insulting like I mentioned above. Men also don't realize that when they are heavily into casual sex, they're not going to run into women who aren't because THOSE WOMEN WILL AVOID THEM. They won't even believe such women exist. Then, when they run into one like Sheila (most likely,) they're convinced there's something wrong with HER. Will be interesting to see if this is the case with Sheila. If it is, she can call me and I'll stick up for her, lol.
  3. If they want to keep the podcast for those who like that, could we still have the typed article for those who are deaf/at work & can't play a podcast/just like reading much better? Thank you! IIRC, that's where it started to go downhill for Vaughn & Monet from Season One. She didn't want to hold his hand, either.
  4. Yes! And Ashley is such a pretty girl that it almost makes him look worse by comparison!
  5. Good - if they're actually going to stay together, I think they'll be glad they waited at least for a little while.
  6. hahahaha, Nate's mom's face when Dad said to her, "They had what we should have had - experts!"
  7. First reception drama, now brunch drama with Nate's family - Mom, you are way too late to be worrying about Nate. I have a feeling this is not the worst think he's ever done, or will do
  8. So, Cody & Danielle and Nate & Sheila managed to hold off - I missed what Ashley & Anthony did - or didn't - do - Anthony is not growing on me. At all. That "beard" is awful and he is so dead pale I don't think he's ever seen the sun. And the grease in the hair. No. Just no. It all makes him look unhealthy, whether he actually is or not.
  9. We don't seem to have a live chat thread, so I'm just going to post here!
  10. heh - see the link to the Blind Gossip item over on the "Going Their Own Flippin' Ways" thread.
  11. Here's a fun piece from a Blind Gossip site: http://blindgossip.com/?p=82510#more-82510
  12. I'm of the opinion that if you did not have a relationship before you have sex with someone, you're not going to have a relationship after you have sex with them.
  13. Disability checks for you and your caretakers; all the food you want, brought by those caretaker/enablers who are paid to be there; and plenty of pain meds to deal with the physical pain of being bedridden, 400 pounds, and immobile. It's the perfect life for a food and pill addict, which I would bet that Teretha is. Most of these people are. They need Intervention as much as they need Dr. Now, and it would make a great crossover show. "My 600-lb. Intervention."
  14. Yeah, I can't hate on that too much. It's only for a few weeks and it does let the kids (and the wife) see parts of the country that they probably never would otherwise. I actually like Chad's family and I think he knows he's lucky to have them.
  15. Seriously, this is another reason why I'd bet she is both a food addict and a drug (pain med) addict. Addicts are stone blind to the suffering of others right in front of them. I wish the EMTs had taken her husband away for help and just left her there alone. She'd get up, you can bet on it.
  16. well, here comes all of Chad's excuses - "I want to do it on my timetable" - say hello to 600 pounds again, Chad
  17. I'd like to know what kind of pain meds Teretha is on, and if that's the real reason why she refuses to get up - because as long as she's in too much pain to stand, the meds keep coming. She may need Assanti's number.
  18. For dialysis, the patient goes to a clinic a few times a week and has to be hooked up to a large machine. Blood basically flows out through one tube, is filtered and cleaned in the machine, and then flows back into the patient. Normally the kidneys perform this function and make urine to discard the waste, but if the kidneys aren't working dialysis is the only hope. Otherwise the patient will die. You can't live without kidneys.
  19. Also known as "first available," lol.
  20. I wish that more social workers and other professionals - not to mention people in general - knew that this is a very, very common factor in child abuse. Nobody wants to talk about it, but now that the facts can come out through DNA testing it's a lot harder to pretend otherwise.
  21. I hope you find out as much as you'd like to know. I do think that everyone has the right to know who they really are. It's an interesting time to be alive, because so many people went through life (right up to now) thinking that no one would ever know the truth and they'd never get caught. Never say never. My bro and I also found out that our maternal grandfather is not who we thought he was - in other words, Grandma was steppin' out while Granddad was teaching at bible camp. We were a little shocked, but not surprised. It explained a lot of things, such as why Granddad had such a poor relationship with our mother (and subsequently with my brother and I,) why Grandma and Granddad fought like cats and dogs 100% of the time, and why my brother is a foot taller than all of his male cousins. We know who the side trip was; Grandma almost married him and carried a torch for him all her life. She was a very conservative church-going woman, too, with four other daughters besides my mother. Ya just never know - but I guess we do now, don't we?
  22. I can relate. My (full) brother posted his DNA results on ancestry.com and it looks like we have a half-brother out there, who was born about 1-1/2 years after my brother and just happens to have the exact same first name, unusual spelling and all, as my brother. Those names you mention might not be a coincidence, any more than my brother's name and the possible half-brother's name. We're waiting on further test results now. Jerry Springer indeed. DNA testing has busted a lot people's worlds wide open.
  23. I just want to say that you win the boards today for that. It's perfect.
  24. ABSOLUTELY. She's STILL trying to act like she doesn't understand why people don't like her. Being hugely obese takes care of that, too. She can just blame any bad reaction to her on that and never have to give it another thought.
