  1. Everything I've read is pretty vague. I saw on a couple of different Reddit threads that it was sexual misconduct, but who knows. All the big stories about it don't go into a lot of detail. I guess it could be something else, but whatever it was it had to have been pretty bad. It seems that he is a big deal chef in Austin, and was a big draw for the restaurant, you don't fire your star chef for violating a few HR rules.
  2. If you Google Gabe Erales you'll find that he was fired from his last job for sexual misconduct. I guess Top Chef was filmed before he was fired, which happened earlier this year, otherwise you can bet they wouldn't have chosen him as a contestant.
  3. I'd like to remember Hoyt in all of his special guest starring glory. I loved what he brought to the show (hotness and charm). It blows that his death is what will ultimately pave the way for guilt-free Walker/Geri pairing (TV writers do love a cliched romance subplot).
  4. WORD x infinity Neither Jamie nor Maria are my favorite contestants (#TeamShota all the way!) but I'm with the poster above who said send them both packing. This is a competition people, not a sorority weekend. Get off the cross, you'll need the wood for your next challenge. I'm hoping Jamie is eliminated next week, I can't stand the sound effects she makes (ease up, you're not that guy from the Police Academy movies). I'm glad Maria left and took her inferiority complex with her. I don't have a lot of patience for her woe is me act. You made it this far into the competition - that means you are good enough. Good grief! I do give her credit for not letting Jamie fall on her kitchen knife for her. I wouldn't feel good about staying if it wasn't on my own merit. I dislike Gabe because of his sketch background but I absolutely wanted to try his winning dish. That looked amazing.
  5. Is "want to go to HR?" the new "want to go back to my place?" [Massive EYE ROLL] Jane Rating - Negative 0. I think Addison was pretty freaking generous with a 3! The character of Jane is like a weekly trolling by the writing staff. I think what Kat is doing to help Zuri is great. It's a very worthy cause, but as per usual Kat has tunnel vision. The Bell doesn't want to get involved (for many reasons that are entirely valid. Thanks for the backup, Adena!) The videos projected on the side of a building is actually a really great idea, but why not do it right? Rather than burn a bridge with a company that you work for --whose values you agree with 9/10 --this is so incredibly dumb and short-sighted. This is why Kat got fired from Scarlet. She doesn't see the big picture. What's extra annoying? Not only is Kat unbelievably self-absorbed but she could have found an organization that would have worked with her on this campaign. But no, she won't do the work required. She has to make a statement NOW. Kat's activism comes across more performative than passionate, and that's where the character loses me. The matching bowling shirts were totes awesome. Tearing wedding dresses not quite as satisfying as the plate smashing place from Pretty Little Liars that I dearly wish were a real thing, but close.
  6. I'm with you on this. The writing has been too smart, and much too nuanced in its character portrayals to end the show this way. Whatever truth we land on with this show. It's going to be complicated, much like life. The things that don't change. 1. Kate is a victim. Full stop. The grooming and the manipulation were not her fault (thanks, and PREACH!, Kate's therapist). Why did she blame Jeanette? We'll find out next week, I guess. I don't think it came from a place of malice. Even Jeanette said early on that she thought the accusation came from a place of trauma. 2. Jeanette may -- and I only say that because we have one episode left -- be innocent of what Kate accused her of, but that doesn't wipe her slate clean. She's a liar, she's shady, manipulative, and shown some disturbing personality traits. Jeanette didn't deserve the social flogging that she received from her town and the media but that doesn't suddenly make her a great person. She doesn't have to be a hero. That's OK. What makes this show so good is how messy, and real it is. People aren't who always who they appear to be, and this show has portrayed this beautifully.
  7. This episode was so uncomfortable to watch. My skin was crawling! I think one of the reasons this was such an excruciatingly uncomfortable episode to watch was because it was so easy to see how a teenager like Kate could be manipulated like that. The way he poured them both a drink -- but don't drink that, you're not old enough. Wink -- or asked her if she'd ever kissed someone much older was so creepy. You don't want Kate to fall for it, but you know she will because she's sixteen with a horrible home life and this trusted authority figure is listening to what she has to say. Then watching them play house together, and we see those brief, disturbing looks on Martin's face but Kate doesn't because she's in full Stockholm Syndrome mode. Both actors killed it. Thank god for the therapist chiming in to bluntly bring us back to reality, and break the tension. Did Martin purchase that snow globe at a haunted antiques store? Real cheerful. Okay so now we know how Kate got the necklace, and why the snow globe is important, but I guess I'm not seeing how Jeanette is going to use it to help her case. Kate was hiding upstairs, and Jeanette didn't see Kate. Also, this would bust Jeanette who had been in and out of Martin's house for months. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that she went back again, and that's when Kate thought Jeanette "saw" her. I'm excited for next week, but also dreading seeing Kate get attacked by Jeanette's shark lawyer. Who is Annabelle?!? I need the show to answer this burning question next week.
  8. Wraith Baby looked like an escapee from a Tool video. I'm here for the Nancy and Ace slow burn lurve. People with beautiful, shampoo commercial quality hair belong together. Sorry, Amanda but not really....Gil knows what he did. I've really loved the evolution of the Ryan and Nancy relationship and I'm looking forward to watching them get closer next season. Who knew that Nancy Drew was going to reboot My Two Dads. I can totally see Riley Smith giving off Greg Evigan vibes. I loved that show back in elementary school. As a Nancy Drew nerd growing up, I wasn't initially sure how I felt about the series leaning so hard into the supernatural (a genre I love btw) but this second season really hit it out of the park. Good job, show.
  9. Ugh! Poor Alex. This show always gives him the lamest subplots. I said it last week, and I'll say it again, WHO CARES about some guy we've never seen before who got fired homophobic tweets and a shitty Alex hit piece. Sage, if you want to get laid so bad maybe try a dating app rather than taking up the cause of some generic dude with bad takes that bought you coffee one time. Have some standards, girl. Wait, are you telling me the FUTURE OF SCARLET didn't properly fact-check her article? Shocked not shocked. Jane is going to take Scarlet down like digital took down print media. Bye bye ad sales. Sutton is my favorite character, and I don't believe for a second that she would so obsessively track Richard's airplane status. I get freaking out, but she is too smart and too competent (Hey, Jane. Maybe, you should take some notes) to suddenly not care about the job that means so much to her. I also want to make an entrance with a power cape like Jacqueline. No reason, I just want to intimidate people when I walk into a room and force them to do the right thing through dramatic fashion statements. Poor Andrew. Sutton styled him like a fancy, deranged safari guide from the 70s. I thought she was trying to make him good this time? Jane's apology was such a humblebrag. Maybe instead of "believing" your sources, you should try "fact-checking" their statements. But what do I know? I'm not the Future of Anything. When Jane talked about leadership I wanted Addison to stand up and throw a dinner roll at her head. I really hope Megann Fahy goes on to have a big career after this show. She has always been the heart and soul of this show, and she's just so good.
  10. ALL of this. I don't care for Mallory though I did appreciate her Ring Pops and Roller Skates birthday party (with "will they or won't they kiss" undertones) last week. Agree, I don't think she's a bully either. Mallory is overbearing. That can be an annoying trait in friends and I can't blame Jeanette and Vince for occasionally being annoyed with it, but let's be honest - Jeanette already had her eyes on the popular prize and was looking for ways to ditch Mallory. I was with Mallory when she busted on Jeanette for carrying around the Red Scrunchy and not shutting up about Kate. She got in trouble with Vice Principal Pedo while her friends ditched her. Can't blame Vince (and I doubt Mallory would either) but Jeanette was all about playing a game. Too bad she was playing a losing game tiddlywinks for dummies. Honestly, I think that Mallory would be a less polarizing character to a lot of us on the boards if she were played by a better actress. Thanks, nepotism (this is why you're not on the holiday card list). No offense to Harley Quinn Smith, but her acting is so try-hard. With a better actress we might see some layers with that performance that would make her more sympathetic but also likable (even when she's being annoying).
  11. I get being upset with her mom, but Cindy was right. Never thought I'd be on Cindy's side at the end of this show, but that's how good this show is and how complex and nuanced the characters are. You fly those friendly skies, Cindy and don't you look back! I kept nodding my head during Cindy's speech. If Jeanette is innocent, I get that she'd be angry with Kate. No one wants to be the town pariah but even if she wins, Cindy is right - Kate was still kidnapped and sexually assaulted. I appreciate the show won't sensationalize her trauma by showing it but we all know that it happened. Jeanette winning would be one bitter victory, which she likely would realize later in life. Oh boo hoo, Jamie. I have no time for his Teen in Trouble shenanigans. The Triumphant Return of Red Scrunchie 2: Stalker Boogaloo! This was the episode where I saw that Jeanette was truly Greg's daughter. The casual lying, but more than anything that smirk that he gave Rod at the bar. Jeanette is a regular chip off the old smug, dishonest block. Awww Vince's morbid cute at school, and then boo sad breakup. I call B.S. on Jamie not only talking to Jeanette in mall jail but again at school. That would never happen. Also, can we talk about the red bloodstain shirt she was wearing? 90s fashion was not always pretty but YIKES. (I myself have some pretty hideous photos from the era so I know) but that shirt was social suicide. Ooooooh, Mallory had a smoking VHS, and didn't even realize it. Maybe, but when I first heard the recording it sounded like a sex tape, but maybe I need to listen again. As good as this show is, I just can't like Jeanette. Yes, she probably is innocent of seeing Kate at Martin's but she's not right. There is being an awkward teen, and then there is being a calculated creep. That b.s. where she thought she'd somehow won a prize by talking to Joy about Kate (sure, she found out Kate was missing but it bitch mom saw right through her). And then the creepiness of listening into Kate's old crew during lunch. Way to be subtle loud shirt. I still don't buy Jeanette sliding into Kate's old seat in the cafeteria in such a short amount of time unless we get a She's All That makeover where everyone at school dances it out Fatboy Slim and accepts her as one of their own. Disappointed in Angela who came in strong in her confrontation with Greg, and then fell for his loser "charms."
  12. I knew John was the father but BARF. He and his teenage cousin had a connection! Gross, dude. Just gross. Ryan was not on my suspect BINGO card. Same. I feel like they didn't know what to do with Dylan. He was both an asshole teenager, and then last week inexplicably acting out some gangster cos-play. It was as if the writers of this truly tremendous show didn't know what to do with him so they threw ALL of the bad guy stereotypes at him to see what would stick (none of them did). And then we got some last minute out of nowhere redemption where he not only came through with the money but gave Lori the money that Erin was saving for ear surgery. I mean, what?!? How does one go from chasing Jess in a car with guns to making sure your not son is taken care of? This show, apparently. Jean Smart is a goddamn national treasure. Lori, I get that you're upset but I think rather than blaming Mare for the destruction of your family, you should maybe bitch out your scumbag husband, John. Just a thought. Julianne Nicholson knocked that scene out of the park, but all I could think as she was screaming at Mare was, STFU. Uh, I don't know much about how custody works but I have to think that a court is not going to just give over custody of DJ to the wife of the man who slept with his teenage cousin who also committed obstruction of justice (is Lori just gonna skate on that one?) I get that biology is involved but I think all of the crimes might make a court think twice about the Ross' fitness as guardians. I feel bad that Dylan's parents don't have a second shot at raising a kid that's not a total asshat. Here's what I don't understand - Why was Erin found naked at the creek? I guess I'm trying to figure out the logic of Billy and John taking her clothes since this wasn't a sexual assault. Thanks for stopping by and picking up a paycheck, Guy Pearce!
  13. Kat is such a child. It made no sense that she would have slept with Ava in the first place, but she can't even break up with her like an adult. All she had to do was say, "it was a mistake, we're not going to work out." Uncomfortable but done. I want to be proud of who I'm sleeping with? My eyes may be stuck in a permanent eye roll. Give me a break, Kat. Jane sucks. What a surprise. Poor Addison. Jane is totally the person that gets all of the breaks, and then never gives anything back to anyone. I'd love the show to end with Jane getting hit by a karma bus, but the writers are too far up that Jane's ass for that to happen. All I ask is that Sutton gets the happy ending that she deserves this season. Don't feel sorry for the guy that got fired. Agree that its a bit of a slippery slope to fire people for old tweets (some people do evolve) BUT he wrote a toxic piece. There are consequences. Too bad, so sad. Apparently, a stranger buying you a cup of coffee means taking up their cause despite never meeting that person before or know anything about them. Whatever. I loathe pink but Sutton's plaid suit was amazeballs! I want to own it in any color but Pepto. WTF Jane. I'm not sure how that girl didn't bust out laughing in Jane's face after that ridiculous video confessional. That poor girl's blood sugar must've been low for her to have bought Jane's nonsense. This is the future of journalism? GTFO, show.
  14. That's actually a really good point about Jamie using tacky jewelry with questionable symbolism to try and lock Kate down. I'm willing to bet if not for the kidnapping, Kate would have showed up with a fountain coke (my hangover cure of choice), some Advil and a breakup notice the next day. And, I can't remember...did Derek know that Ash moonlighting on the kidnap victim's message board? I'm actually super nervous for Kate next week. Thank you! Glad I'm not crazy. I'm a few years younger than Kate and Jeanette were in this time period but the mid-90s was around the time Bound, Wild Things and Chasing Amy came out so if this was a less quality show I could see them going for that the predictable narrative -- oooh look how edgy this show is. take that, 700 club! -- route with Kate and Mallory.
  15. Promise ring, Jamie. Barf. I can't blame Kate for her discomfort. The icky connotations of a promise ring are enough to put me off mall food courts, and dumb choker-wearing boyfriends back in the 90s and now. What I like about Kate is that she continues to give us a really layered, and complex look at the popular girl by not playing into stereotypes and expectations by not being excited about the promise of forever with a high school douchebag (even though part of the problem stems from the issues with her own parents). Hell yes to ring pops and roller skates. These are the moments where Mallory isn't a total suck-monster. But am I the only one who thought those two might have an awkward kiss or do I just watch too much TV? Joy can take ALL of the the seats. What a hag. So, my current Annabelle theory is based on Kate's panicked reaction in the therapy session. I think that she may have had some kind of disassociative event where she created Annabelle as a coping mechanism. Again the mirrors from the closet at the end where we see Kate (eating what looks like dog food. Shout out to the Veruca Salt "Seether" video?) split between the doors. It's pretty clear how Jamie saw Kate (Madonna) and Jeanette (Whore) when he was with them. He just keeps on sucking. Oh fuck! I forgot about the "before times" when we didn't have worry about computer security and having private chats being read by booty calls. That's gonna be a boner killer for Trevor and Ash's relationship. Trevor, I still like you, but taking the private conversation of a kidnapping and assault victim like that, which can be so easily taken out of context (which it will) is truly awful. I get why he did it - Jeanette is still his sister - but I have to imagine that there are some legal implications to this? My law degree from Law & Order university didn't cover this subject so I don't know whether or not this chat could be admissible in court if it was taken without Ash's permission. Jamie's drunk pee stream, and Joy's assholery are what drove poor Kate to Martin Harris's house. Worst. Birthday. Ever.
  16. This show does nail biting suspense so well. I didn't think that Drew was going to end up sleeping with the rubber duckies but after Zabel's surprise death last week, I wouldn't put it past the show to kill off another character. The scene where Jess was being chased by Douchebag Dylan and his friend had me holding my breath a bit. I agree with one of the other posters that YELLING is the way to go in these high speed, death threat situations. Jess really needs to watch more crime shows - armchair survival skills are no joke. I really would like to know what it is that Dylan, nameless friend, and Jess are all into. I think the consensus we're going with is drugs, and Erin, maybe blew their spot in her diary. Not sure. This show began with Dylan being King of Douche Mountain to suddenly playing make believe gangsta. Dylan's parents would have done him a world of good if they'd given him a timeout at some point in his life - it's the only explanation for him being the awful child of seemingly good parents. I thought the scene with drunk Siobhan and Mare was really good. I wondered why it was that she seemed to resent her mom so much, and we have our answer. Is it fair? No. But trauma and grief are kind of funny like that. On a side note, I think it's kind of funny that there are now more and more shows with characters named Siobhan. As a Siobhan who spent years rolling my eyes and honing my sarcasm when people couldn't pronounce my name, it's sort of funny that that my name is going mainstream here. Thanks, HBO. LOL I called John as Erin's killer last week. I'm kind of leaning towards the theory on the boards that he manipulated Billy somehow, or maybe it really is as simple as Kissing Cousins Gone Wrong: The Family Retreat Edition starring Billy. He did have blood all over his clothes, not that that necessarily makes Billy the killer. I just love that this show makes us question everything. Did Guy Pearce really sign on for what turned out to be kind of a nothing burger of a role? What's on the smoking Polaroid, show?!?
  17. ALL of this. Every week it's as if Stella has to top herself in the asshat department. As I was watching this, my first thought was park the truck and go get Grandma and Grandpa. Never underestimate the power of being a tattletale when you're a kid. Walker would still have to sit through an intervention but at least it wouldn't have been based on a lie. Was it the sole reason that Walker was driven away? Nah. But, maybe things would have worked out differently if the intervention was honest. This doesn't excuse Walker being an absentee parent. It's a good thing he's hot... The whole lonesome cowboy act with Bonham keeping a treatable cancer a secret from his family for reasons -- Season 2 Mid-Season Cliffhanger Dramz -- was an eye-roller. I sort of hate these slowed down flashback episodes where poor Liam is going to have to bleed out for a week while we wait for next week. I'm shocked that Augie didn't rat Stella out at one point. What kind of younger sibling is he anyway?
  18. Haha. My bad. I guess I misheard. Nerts sounds about as lame as Nerds so...
  19. Angela seems pretty cool (other than the implied infidelity). I can't understand why she'd want the drama of Jeanette's sad dad, and all the scrutiny that comes with being a fake mommy figure to Jeanette. This is the first time that I felt badly for Cindy. She's seemed like a caricature of a woman trying to live her high school years again by pushing her daughter. But we see that she had dreams that were bigger than this small town, and her pushing her kids makes sense now. Cindy was so desperate for someone to listen to her. For someone that she could talk to. Daddy's got blinders on. I absolutely understand defending your kids (we all want our parents support) but you have to face facts. At least Cindy wants to get to the bottom of things with Jeanette, and I respect that she's willing to confront her fears. Greg would rather idealize his daughter, and put his head in the sand. Realizing Cindy was right at the end is where we see resentful Greg from 1995 emerge. But I don't feel badly for him. He's that typical "nice guy" who isn't actually as nice as he appears. It was a great scene with two mature women acting like real adults. I also enjoyed the record screech at the end when Cindy told Angela that Greg's been misrepresenting the separation. I didn't buy Jeanette's tough grrrl act with desperate cougar mom. (Lay off the corpse paint, lady. That flashback lighting is not kind). Sure blackmailing Tanya about seeing her trying to put the moves on the Red Scrunchy Lover and confessing to him that she should be on Maury not the local news seems like a good idea, but I think it's going to bite Jeanette in her angsty ass. Yes, Jeanette thinks she has a smoking gun but what if someone finds out that she was hiding in the house watching Harris and Tanya. I don't think Cindy will blow Jeanette's spot, but Mallory could and would. Don't count out Vince either. He covered for Jeanette once but we know how she treats her "friends." As much as I dislike Mallory, seeing Jeanette diss her to Vince once again showed us how willing she was cut her friends loose. Jeanette is very goofy in 1993, but you can see the subtle switch flips with her where she turns very calculating. That scene where she was going through her closet is the moment where she must've decided to start making herself over. Trevor is such a good brother. It annoyed me how Jeanette kept begging him not to leave for school. It didn't feel genuine, it felt like a manipulation to keep him there. She kept saying that she was alone, but as we saw in 1994, she still had her dad and Vince on her side. Liz Phair "Exile in Guyville" excellent taste in music, Vince!
  20. SCREAMING! Despite watching tons of thrillers, and knowing that the kiss with Mare meant death, I still ended up being shocked when Zabel caught a bullet. Evan Peters was so fantastic in this (as is the entire cast). I co-sign the poster who said that it was nice to see him not starring in a Ryan Murphy vehicle. Between this and WandaVision, it's nice to see Peters branch out and show his range. That entire scene in the Tavern from the trapped girls banging on the pipes to Mare trying navigate the attic without a gun and the surveillance cameras was a master class in suspense. I think I held my breath for the entire scene. I'm leaning towards Lori's husband as the killer, but this show loves a red herring so we'll see. As much as I dislike Dylan, I don't think he killed Erin. What would be the point? He and Bully Brianna had already beaten and humiliated Erin in front of everyone. I just think that the burned diaries were a case of teenage jackassery. I'm glad that Erin's bff slipped at least one piece of evidence into her jacket since Mare is going to need it to close this case.
  21. 100%. At least now we know why Maladie was so pissed at True. Oh man, I forgot about this scene. YES. Gert can choke on a baguette for that b.s.
  22. Same. I feel like despite paying close attention to what happened there were some key details that I most likely missed. This was a good episode but I don't know that I would have ended the first half of the season with it. To me it would have made the most sense last week or even the week before. All of the penultimate scenes last week, and conflicts would have had more impact with this information. But what do I know? I just watch an awful lot of TV. Molly's story was bleak. Full of so much flaky, buttery pastry and sadness. Nice to see Maladie without the mouth sores. I guess we have the evil doctor to thank for turning her into the annoying serial killer hamming up our screens. At least she didn't turn the crazy annoying up to eleven this episode, and was relatively restrained. Did True activate the doctor's power? Or did I just miss something there. So I guess we'll just have to wait till next season (whenever that it is) for Penance to get framed for the electrical melee at Maladie's "execution"? Because I think we all know that's where this is going. I really appreciated that when Zephyr (I think I've got the name right) took over Molly's body, her voice hadn't adjusted. Laura Donnelly did an amazing job mimicking Claudia Black, and also making it seem like she was trying to find a way around a new mouth. So well done.
  23. I'm over this tortured Romeo and Juliet nonsense with Stella and Trevor. Stella is just dumb. At least Trevor understood how to lean into the whole Tortured Doom Emo Love thing - he had a plan (thanks criminal mom and dad) for how to blow town. I'm not sure what Stella thought they were going to do. Drive off into the sunset but stop at the state line to be home for dinner? Another one for the Stella sucks column. I hate love triangles but I love Hoyt. The proposal would have been 10x better if he'd been back in his Magic Mike gear like when we first met him. Not because it would make Geri change her mind, but because as viewers we deserve nice things. Geri did have a point that Hoyt should be bothered by the kiss. Not storming off to bro-out on Walker -- like he clearly is next week -- but maybe not brushing it off so easily. If I were him, I'd have questions. I'm hoping that Geri and Walker don't end up together. To me, the kiss was a moment that was charged by mutual grief, long-standing friendship, and relief. That's understandable. While something like that probably would feel super awkward, it doesn't necessarily mean insta-love (unless you're dumb like Stella). Geri and Walker are making it worse by not talking about it. It was a kiss, it's not like they ran down to Mexico for a sex weekend. Who hasn't made out with a friend? Did they not go to college? Chill, guys. Life is complicated. Same. My first thought was...that's not legal. But you're right, it's probably Hoyt. Honestly, after meeting Hoyt the reporter was probably BINGO got a new angle for this story. Ditto to everyone who pointed out that there is NO WAY the Walker's would blow off Stella's championship game. Walker missing these games has been a source of ANGST all season. You've gotta be kidding me that these people would blow that shit off.
  24. YES. I was thinking the exact same thing. Massen doesn't like that Penance's turn makes her a brilliant inventor. Can't have little ladies upstaging mediocre men, can we? Framing Penance does two things. First, it kneecaps a woman whose turn makes her a threat to men in power like Massen and his League of Ordinary White Men. Two, it's a way to hurt True. With Maladie behind things, it makes sense that she'd want to hit True where it hurts, and the best way to do that is through Penance.
  25. Two creeps in a tense standoff over a scrunchy. I don't think I could love this show anymore. Watching Kate destroy Harris' tombstone was incredibly cathartic. I felt so intensely skeeved out by that scene between Harris and Kate at the fair. No wonder Kate feels like she had to lie to the police about it. Even though she was the victim, Kate and so many girls and women like her feel like they are to blame. You see how after the rough summer she was having with her family that a trusted authority figure who showed her kindness wouldn't set off alarm bells. If he was young and kind of cute, then developing a crush was definitely not out of the realm of possibility. It was so hard to watch because grooming like that is so insidious that the victim doesn't even realize its happening. I kept thinking how deserted it was by that game, and how different things might have been if someone had just walked by. Harris talking to Kate did NOT look innocent. All that scene was missing was a tornado full of red flags (but maybe red scrunchies would have been more appropriate). I would have done worse than dunk Jamie for his attempting gaslighting. What a douchecanoe! I was so happy to see Kate not take his bullshit, and dump him immediately. I really appreciate how strong Kate is, and that even with her "friends" she just asks for space. Jeanette is such a creeper. I trust that this show is too smart to go with the obvious Jeanette is the psycho everyone thinks she is but that doesn't change the fact that she was waaaay too invested in her Kate fantasy in 1993, and delusional enough to think she can talk it out in a fun house in 1994. That girl is not right. We should all be so lucky to have a brother as supportive (and honest) as Jeanette's.
