Australian here - the lack of diversity pisses a lot of us off as well, especially considering we have SO many different ethnicities here and plenty of those people go back second or third generation Australian, so that is disappointing. Apparently the reason Barry (Aboriginal man) has been silent is because he was swearing a lot, along with one of the girls in his tribe, so they couldn't use most of their footage (as a whole we really don't care about swearing but it's marketed as a family friendly show and is in a PG slot). Barry said they had a talking to by producers so hopefully we will hear more from those players soon! And to be fair there are 24 contestants so a lot of them have barely had any screen time yet, it's still early days. It's had great reviews here and there's loads of buzz about it on social media, everyone is impressed with the quality and that it is keeping in line with the US show - the last attempt at doing an Aus version was abysmal! So cheap and too many changes from the original version. Glad to read you think Jonathon LaPaglia is doing a great job, I think he's a perfect choice for it and he's pretty easy on the eye ?.

But aren't you speculating yourself by saying that the info has all been fed to the trades by the network/producers? That hasn't been stated. There is no way he'd have an exclusion for violence in his contract. I'm amazed that your company has left themselves open to possible lawsuits or difficulties with this employee further down the track. It's really not up to the employee to decide the outcome in workplace misconduct and in the CM situation it's not exclusively about TG, the company need to ensure they are going to have a safe workplace, protect themselves from legal action and minimise their liability. Exactly, the situation with TG must have been dire to go to the extreme of firing him, I'm sure the network would have been desperate to find some other resolution - even if the rumours are true that he is difficult to work with (I have no idea if that's the case but he wouldn't exactly be unique if it's factual!) studios will put up with a lot if the positives outweigh the negatives. TPTB know that this may result in the cancellation of the show so the decision wouldn't have been made lightly.

It's annoying that we weren't told why Quinn couldn't attempt to carry a pregnancy but there could be quite a few reasons. At the very least though, there is no way she could use her eggs, she's at least 45 and the chances are practically nil of them being viable. She could have tried donor eggs if her uterus, etc is healthy but since all she said was she can't have kids she could have just meant she couldn't have a child with her genes. The same would go if they used a surrogate, still need donor eggs. It's frustrating because artificial reproduction has been marketed so well that people think it's a magic bullet and it's just not, the odds of things actually working out are pretty low so a lot of people end up being very disappointed. My odds were 5% and that was purely age, my reproductive system is perfectly healthy.

Apart from the other many many problems with this season I wish they didn't have Coleman hook up with Yael. I thought it was more interesting that he could 'think' he had the best of intentions towards Rachel but was blinded by wanting to get the big scoop on Everlasting and boost his career thus screwing her over in that fashion. To me that's a better story than him cheating on her, the two-timing storyline is a dime a dozen. He's been such a cipher this whole season and now they've just added another boring element to him. My biggest problem was this episode is I am 7 months pregnant and LOVE sashimi and I've been dying to eat it so watching Yael chow down was really frustrating! Even the aftermath hasn't stopped me fantasising about my first post-baby sashimi ???

Yes it's awful the way sexual abuse victims can be treated. I've known way too many people - men and women - who have been sexually abused and the stories are so incredibly sad. When my mum disclosed about abuse by a family member the rest of her family didn't want to know about it and accused her of lying. It took her over 20 years to tell anyone about it and that was the response she had. They basically cast her out of the family, it was horrible, she was treated like she had done something wrong and the abuser was still included in all the family gatherings while mum was left out, I'm still so angry about it. That's not an isolated reaction that I have seen first hand, no wonder people don't want to disclose when they see how others have been treated.

Yes that's true, it's a creepy enough premise that one of your family members is a serial killer, there doesn't need to be a police investigation to make it 'more' interesting. I think if I suspected something like that in my family it wouldn't be a case of 'oh well, the police case is dead so it doesn't really matter!'.

Sexual abuse is non-discriminatory and prevalent, it's not surprising at all that an educated person from a privileged background would hide abuse, unfortunately it happens all the time; rich or poor, college or high-school drop-out. It can also take a long time - if at all - to confront or totally accept that a parent is abusive let alone disclose it to outsiders. One of the reasons people fail to disclose is the fear that no-one will believe them, particularly when someone comes from a seemingly (to outsiders) 'upstanding' family like Rachel's.

She could be a blogger using a pseudonym, anyone can call themselves a reporter. It's not illegal to treat a family member but it's very unethical and 'cautioned' against. Unreal can tell us anything they want to about the ratings for 'Everlasting', it doesn't mean anything, it's just what the producers have decided would work for the storylines. Rachel said she had never told anybody - I actually believe her on that one.

I agree, Mitch always seems paternal towards Jamie, not romantically interested. Although the other 2 (now 1 with Chloe gone, RIP) have zero chemistry as well.
