I'm really trying not to go there and give grace but some of Emily's comment there was ringing some loud dogwhistles.

And that's saying something because we've seen some really dumb shit on this show over the years.

Brandon's the worst because according to him he's wanted to do the damn show since he was a kid. Like what the hell dude? Listen, I love watching this show but I know I'd never apply for it because I KNOW I don't do slumming and I like my comforts.

Think the vote will come down to Emily vs. Brandon. Brandon was weak in both challenges and Emily annoys everyone.

And that's where the confrontational part of my comment comes from. She could have saved that comment about what Bruce said to her tribe when they were alone. Sort of, "yeah I'm not buying that no advantage spiel." And some would have likely agreed with her. Instead she loudly calls the guy out, not really knowing much about him and let's face it, he really did leave before doing anything. He didn't even make it to the first Immunity Challenge. And

Emily is talking WAY too much. I've always been a big believer that laying a little low, especially at the start of the game, is best. Of course that may just be my natural introversion coming through.

Like a lot of what she does. It's like when some of her batshit crazy Swifities were attacking SZA online because SZA was on track for something like four or five straight weeks of her album being #1 on the Billboard charts. Mind you, SZA's overall sales weren't even close to Taylor's. However, her numbers were still very impressive and there was a lot of industry support around the strong staying power her album was showing. Well that was enough to rankle some of the Swifities' feathers because no one is allowed to succeed but Taylor. After weeks of many calling out how side-eying it was for an artist who claims to be some huge feminist staying quiet as some of her fans viciously attacked a black woman, Taylor's great statement was to make an IG Story saying how she liked one specific SZA song. Such profound allyship. But speaking of SZA, there was also her coincidentally releasing a millionth vinyl version of Midnights, complete with reducing all the other million vinyl versions to $0.65, right as SZA was on path to get her fifth week at number one. Many saw this as an obvious ploy to pad her album numbers and push it back to No. 1 I wrote a post a long time ago in this thread, when it was first created, that I absolutely respect Taylor's talent as a songwriter and producer (I refuse to believe she's an amazing vocalist - she's serviceable at best). However, I think there is a Machiavellian element to her personality that makes her incredibly shrewd and manipulative.

It may be because Matthew had the real one and left the game with it. So all the other players from her original tribe knew they didn't have it, so it'd be easy to believe hers was the real thing.

No one did because Matthew who set it up, left the game.

Did not see that coming but in a way it makes sense. Because Yam Yam was so close to being out so many times and he fought and clawed his way to stick around and outlast everyone else and he did play a fairly strategic game. Would have been nice to see Carolyn get a vote and also I just wanted to be right if she won. But I'm not too pressed or even shocked by this winner like I was last season with Gabler. Yam Yam's win does make me think that Carson likely would have won if it was the Tika 3 in the Final 3 because I do think the jury felt he was the overall brains of the trio.

I feel like Heidi definitely played on the emotion the most and may have worked. I did laugh at Yam Yam's not so subtle eyeroll when she made the case of voting for her because she'd be the oldest female winner. Btw, is that true? Because I would have sworn Tina was in her 50s or so when she won. Or maybe she just looked that old.

Carson is literally trying to answer for the players. He's so eager

Second season in a row where a heavy favorite to win it all faltered at the fire making challenge.

Carson is still attacking the flint, exactly as Yam Yam told him not to do.

I think the making fire at 4 was introduced after Ozzy lost that season where it looked like he was clearly on path to win but lost the Final 4 challenge. It's the season Sophie won. As I remember, the entire jury confirmed that they were all ready to vote for Ozzy if he'd made it to the F3.

Except Heidi, Carson made clear he's not great at making fire so I'm not sure taking him on is this big deal that she thinks it is. I don't know that I buy that the jury, if they weren't already leaning to Heidi will completely vote for her because of this move. But then again, last season, I spent the entire finale saying any of the 5 is winning EXCEPT Gabler and well, Gabler won. So what do I know. Will be hilarious if Carson beats her and so in the end the Tika 3 still make it to the Final 3.

My prediction of Caroline winning still holds. She's now in the F3
