according to this source, it is still vanessa redgrave. but, i agree: it didn’t sound like her. who’s the narrator in call the midwife and this one, as well. radio times

no — you’re just trying to confuse the issue with logic — a common impulse with this show.

maybe she didn’t. i noticed as well. but the woman is 85 and in remission after cancer treatments. maybe she just wasn’t feeling well. -
The phrase "...gave my brother and I detention" is incorrect. Take out "my brother": you wouldn't say, "...gave I detention"; therefore, it should be "...gave my brother and me detention." My job partly involves teaching grammar; this happens all the time. show of hands: how many own that “i’m silently correcting your grammar” t-shirt? raises hand.

caught my favorite episode of ‘taxi’ last night — cab 804, part 2. elaine drives an art dealer, tom selleck, 140 miles to an auction. so easier to forget how handsome and charming — and funny — he was years ago. .

i, too, like the longer interviews. re dick cavett, various iterations of his shows are running @ 9pm (eastern) on the decades ota channel. the version closest to colbert is the 30 minutes episoe with a single guest. but, what i like most are the 60 minute shows with several guests. this was the model for the early late night shows, and led to some fascinating interactions and conversations, which just don’t happen with the current model, which i really miss. earlier this week, there was an episode from late 1971, with eg marshall, maureen stapleton, and howard k smith, who speculated about what he thought was going to happen in the 1972 presidential election. surreal experience listening to his predictions while knowing how things actually turned out. dick cavett on decades -
the only one that hurt my eyes was that yellow one she wore in the actual commercial.

No real person in Manhattan would wear those pantsuits. I still can’t figure out why Hillary used to wear them. But yes I think that’s what they were going for n it wasn’t the pantsuit so much as that color!

I actually found her second speech more amusing. But I also find her humour very hit or miss. And I felt the second one had more hits in it than the first ramble you may be right. but i was so annoyed by her self-indulgent time suck that i tuned out what she was saying. -

while i absolutely loved ‘’the charmichael show,’ and certainly understand the appeal of the money, jerrod as a host is just so painful to watch. one thing i do miss from earlier broadcasts is how people were shown milling around during the commercial breaks. this just feels as though everyone is trying too hard. -

so prince harry is on tuesday? means i’ll be able to call it an early night. -
i did — started with matthew dropped off the dollhouse. for me earned tears because it just snuck up in me and i loved the rest of it! certainly one of my favorite christmas specials. there was a lot going on, but i thought the episode was balanced. and yes, minimal monica jean — agreed that her expression during the recorder performance was priceless. and i loved seeing tim, and how they’ve brought reggie along.

what the hell is going on? looks like another week of reruns — kimmel, fallon, and myers, too. i haven’t been keeping close track, but it seems like it’s a week off every few weeks. -

call me shallow — but i loved marcia gay harden’s ring and earrings. and while she may call herself a prude, her reaction to ‘marcia gay harder’ suggests otherwise. -

given that the news about the queen’s passing broke mid-day, they must have taped last night’s show on wednesday.
