  1. Glow in the dark Zombies! This show is awesome. I just love how much fun they're having with the zombie apocalypse. I was so afraid that 10K was going to die. I'm glad he's still around. It was so sad when his replacement dad dropped himself in the vat of radioactive stuff. I mean it was pretty obvious he wasn't going to survive the episode but it was sad for 10K. ZombieAmelia was cool. I thought the imprinting scene was cool. And I'm glad Murphy wouldn't let the others kill her. I find Murphy so interesting now. It's like he's learning to be human while becoming a zombie.
  2. For what it was, I liked this episode. I liked "Mack" learning from his mistakes/deaths and changing his behavior each dream. It reminded me of Edge of Tomorrow. I liked that Addy seems to be working through her PTSD stuff. I really like her, but I'm getting tired of only the women having emotional tramas. Cassandra was going through stuff when we met her, Roberta was having a hard time dealing with Charlie's death, and now Addy is having PTSD flashbacks. None of the men are having these problems. 10K had to kill his dad too, but he's not crying or going catatonic. It's just annoying that it's only the women and it's all of the women.
  3. The Zunami was awesome. Just a giant herd of roaming zombies. So cool. 10K sleeping in the morgue wall coffin was hilarious. I'm not sure what to think of Murphy. He was awesome in the cult episode, but stealing the family's food and water, and then letting ZombieDad into the building was terrible. I think he did feel bad about what he did, which is why he went back for his group. Murphy totally strikes me as one of those people who feel one good deed wipes out any and all previous bad deeds. I'm not sure what his original crime was. I didn't believe him when he claimed it was postal fraud. But if the zombie apocalypse had been going for a while when they were forcing prisoners to take the vaccine, they might have already run out of prisoners who had committed violent crimes and moved on to the non-violent/white collar criminals. It took Citizen Z way too long to figure out the problem, but I guess the lack of oxygen was making him be stupid so it works. I was so worried about the doggie. Partly because I realized that all cats have been zombified. In the cannibal episode we learned that everything turns zombie when it dies, including animals, and if you eat the zombie meat, you turn. Cats are perfect killing machines. Even fat, indoor cats who are well fed kill bugs and spiders and stuff. They would all be turned week 1.
  4. Poor Carol. It's got to feel like the universe is messing with her. She finally finds another person and he sniffs her underwear and poops in a pool. They finally start to work together and bond, and then a super hot chick shows up. Here's hoping that January Jones's character is gay and only has eyes for Carol. That would be way funnier than Carol getting jealous and fighting with the new woman. I loved that Carol joined Phil's crazy racquetball game and destroying stuff with the bulldozer. I would hate it if the show was just about poor put upon Phil and his killjoy wife. Having her enjoy the freedom of getting to do whatever you want is a lot more fun to watch.
  5. Totally. It just opens up the writers to try something different. I'm curious who in the group will step up and take charge. Doc is too old. 10K is too young. Murphy is too selfish. Cassandra, Mack, and Addy aren't really leaders. With her military training, Roberta is the obvious choice, but at the same time, I don't think I've ever seen a post-apocalypse movie/show/book/etc. that lets the black woman be the leader.
  6. This show cracks me up. The zombie shooting gallery, Roberta slicing down zombies to the western theme, the gun dealer's "Uh guys by the trading tables, try to be more careful with stray bullets", etc. I love that the writers are having fun with the zombie apocalypse. Plus, in a weird way, it makes sense. Humans can adapt to anything and after a while, whatever you're living through becomes your new normal. And then you have good days and things that make you laugh, even if your new normal is objectively terrible. I am so curious about Murphy and what's happening with him. He really is the cure. But if the cure has to be injected, how are they going to get it to the rest of the survivors? It's lame that Mack and Addy got separated, but that will open up the story and let the writers focus on one group for an episode and just check in on the others and then focus on a different group the next episode.
  7. Not Charlie! Aw, that sucks. But I do really like that no one is safe. Anyone can die. Even if they are a fan favorite. That's pretty cool. Murphy just went from my least favorite to my most favorite. Three cheers for Zombie Jesus! The cult guys were dumb. I think it would have worked better if their leader was more charismatic. I couldn't figure why anyone was following him.
  8. Yeah, both Carol and Phil's behavior makes sense to me. Carol is sticking to the rules because the rules keep people safe. I liked that at their first meeting, Carol pulls a gun and wants reassurance that Phil is a "nice person". Being the last person on earth would be terrifying, but I think it would also be terrifying to realize that you're not alone. What if the other last survivor turns out to be a cannibal or a rapist or a violent drunk, etc? I felt bad for Carol. She was probably driving around, looking for survivors, and then she started to see Phil's "Alive in Tuscan" signs so she gathers the courage to find the person who made the signs and when she finds him, he's a creepy perv who is sniffing her underwear. No wonder she wants Phil to follow the rules. Once the rules are totally gone, things don't usually work out for women.
  9. It bugged me when Eddie was hitting on the adult neighbor for that reason, but a 6th grader having a crush on an 8th grader is pretty age appropriate so it didn't bother me as much. And I loved that she took his CD.
  10. This wasn't my favorite episode. I'm not sure if Warren's husband was a zombie who still wanted to save her, a human who saved her and then died, becoming a zombie, or a hallucination. And 10K and Cassandra were complete idiots. Why would they get into a car rather than any of the buildings? I did laugh at Addy and Mack's excitement for totally naked sex, only for Addy to keep her bra on. I also liked the clips of the other random survivors listening to Citizen Z's broadcast and then wondering who Addy was.
  11. You're right. He was the neighbor kid. Which makes sense. He said his mom bought him the game because she felt guilty that his dad forgot him at a Walmart. Poor guy. I loved Louis's response about not having air conditioning, "That's your mother's thing. She runs the house. Don't drag me into it."
  12. Did they replace Eddie's douchebag white friend with a new actor? The kid who got the 9to5 video game was new, and the kid who was competing with Eddie over the slumber parties was gone. I like the new kid. I loved how he went from disappointed that his mom got him the wrong game to getting excited about getting to a new level to crying and clapping while finishing the game. Jessica was great as always. "I can get by with 2 sons. Think about that." Her line readings are the best. I liked that Louis got to bond with Eddie. And it was great to see Eddie go from whining about having to work to actually working hard and being good at his job. And it was nice to see Louis have a scene with his mom.
  13. I blame the writers for the Tara hate. The first time we meet Tara, she was at work but instead of working, she was sitting around, doing nothing. Then when a customer asks her for help, Tara screamed at the lady, called her stupid, and then accused her of being racist. Then, the next time we see Tara, she's at Merlott's and some guy tells her he likes her name and she responds by screaming at him and accusing him of being racist because her mom named her after the plantation from Gone with the Wind and apparently he was supposed to psychically know that. By the time the writers finally got around to writing her as anything other than an angry stereotype, the audience's mind was already made up.
  14. I really like Gina in general, but I loved how important it was that Kevin liked her and how upset she got when he went back to calling her Linetti. There was also a line that she's built relationships with all of the other Captains' assistants. It shows that her job is important to her.
  15. I love this show. Mostly for Jessica. She makes me laugh so much. I loved her "Did you tell him not to date rape?" to Louis followed by her attacking Eddie with the giant stuffed Hello Kitty. Other great lines, "life is worth 1,000 I'm sorrys" and "this is grandma's now. She won it fair and square." I also loved the youngest son's high pitched wail when he realized he lost his giant Hello Kitty. I've never made that exact noise, but I am very familiar with the emotion behind it. The punch line of him just grabbing the toy from Jessica and running was great. I can't remember his name but the blond kid cracks me up. He's such a dick but also great. It's a shame he and Eddie are in competition with each other. If they teamed up, they would be unstoppable.
  16. Well, this was a fun episode. Definitely needed after the cannibal cult. I'm so glad that Doc survived, I'm not even going to question his lack of burns. I'm guessing he let go of the tubes holding him up and fell faster than the flames. Citizen Z is getting creepy. I totally get it. He's been alone for 3 years. Just like the "I am Legend" guy set up mannequins around town and then was nervous about asking the female mannequin out. So Citizen Z pretending or having both sides of the im chat was okay. What makes me uncomfortable is that Addy is a real person and he's not falling for her. He's falling for his version of her and that never ends well. I just don't want him to get jealous of Mack and somehow give the group bad info so Mack dies. The Badass Family were awesome and I'm sad that they died. It would be funnier if they just randomly popped up through out the season. Plus, how did they die? Why would they get out of the truck? It would be one thing if they ran out of gas or something. But it looks like they saw zombies, got out of the truck, and then died. Huh? I think his shot was off because of the wind. That's why he put the cigarette next to the scope. He was watching the direction and strength of the smoke from the cigarette to find the direction and strength of the wind. He missed his first shot and then, after the flashback, readjusted and hit his target.
  17. It was better than I thought it was going to be. There were no scenes of creepy men making gross comments to Addy or watching her change. I liked that the women from TeamDelta all stuck together, though I thought it was funny that their girl power stuff didn't extend to the other prostitibaits. I think I would have like it better if there was a scene with Addy and the new women where she tried to help them and they were totally on TeamCannibal so she decided they couldn't be saved. I was mostly annoyed because Addy never should have been captured to begin with. One, Cassandra totally should have told the group that they needed to avoid Philly. She didn't even need to share her sins. She could have just said, "I heard from another survivor that there are cannibals there. We should stay away." Two, Mack was supposed to have her back. When the team split into small groups, I was so excited that they used the buddy system. And when Addy starts working on the radio, it looked like Mack was right next to the car keeping her safe from zombies while she was focused on what she was doing. But then it turns out that Mack was several blocks away. What? Why? I know Addy's a badass and he knows she can handle herself, but she's trying to fix something out in the open. She can't watch all directions and fix the radio at the same time. Also, while I'm asking questions, why would the cannibals let the Food have sex with the women in their group? If they're only attacking lone survivors, why not knock them out the minute they're in the trailer? Why give them 20 minutes first? The dinner scene was too creepy. Addy trying not to scream while the guy thrashed around the table was awful. And all the hanging bodies? Shudder. I'm glad that everyone on DeltaTeam made it out. I like all of them, even the antivirus guy.
  18. I thought it was an interesting way to show the difference between overt racism and micro-agressions. I was about 15 in 1995 and while I knew that racial slurs were evil words that you never, ever, no matter what Grandpa says, never use, but I had never heard of micro-aggressions and I'm not sure I would have seen thinking someone's lunch was weird was racist. I probably would have thought saying something was rude, but not necessarily racist. So I thought it was interesting that all of the white kids had no problem with the all the small things they were doing to Eddie but they all stopped and gasped at the racial slur. They knew that was bad.
  19. Really? Dammit! I figured it was too good to be true. We were going to watch the next few episodes this weekend. We'll probably still watch the next few and see how bad it is. The series is filmed in Spokane so we know a couple of the extras and it was really fun to look for them.
  20. I really hope not. I just started this series and so far my favorite thing about it is that there has been no rape or rape threats. Every other post-apocalypse show or movie I've ever seen always has multiple scenes of creepy men being all, "I know we're all on the run from zombies/aliens/robots/superflu and there are only like .00001% of the human race left but I'm going to take time away from trying to survive to rape and/or sexually threaten every woman I come in contact with." I like that we've made it through 2 whole episodes with no sexual violence and multiple women who are dressed appropriately for the apocalypse and who actually do something besides cry or need to get saved. Even Cassandra (shorts girl) had knowledge the team needed about the zombies being attracted to certain sounds and was a vital part of the plan. And people wondered why she was dressed in shorts and commented on her inappropriate wardrobe. Like the NSA guy said, it's been 3 years of zombies. Anyone who is still alive is a badass, and that includes the women. For as much as this show gets compared unfavorably to The Walking Dead, it is miles ahead of that misogynistic shit show. I like the NSA guy and I'm glad he didn't shoot the dog by accident. The old guy who was all, "The apocalypse is like rehab, take it one day at a time" and the young couple are my favorites. I hope they make it to the end. I have a theory about "the package". I think the other zombies can sense him and are attracted to him. The zombies all seemed more focused on him than any of the other people or sounds. Even when the old guy was outside of the SUV killing zombies, they were all trying to claw their way into the vehicle where the VaccineGuy was. They didn't even notice the human out in the open.
  21. I think it would be cool to have a season where all of the houseguests are newbies. I'm curious to see what people would do if they didn't have the previous seasons to use as a guide. Would they come up with the idea to "backdoor" other guests? Or would they come up with completely new ways to compete? I just feel like at this point, most of the houseguests are either using previous strategies or modeling their game after a previous houseguest (Zach trying to be the next Dr. Will, etc.) I think it would be interesting to see what they do if they actually have no idea what to expect. I also think they should bring back the luxury competitions and the food competitions. I like when the houseguests hate each other but then need to work together to earn food/prizes/whatever. It adds a layer to voting because then they have to decide whether to risk losing help for food competitions or risk keeping a competitor for HOH. I want them to get rid of the Have-Nots or at least slop. But I like the idea of houseguests have to do certain things to earn privileges. Like everyone should get cold showers until they earn hot water by keeping the bathroom clean. Or they lose any dish/glass/cookware that they leave dirty overnight. But don't tell them it's happening or why, just let them slowly lose stuff and not know why until they realize that the stuff *Clean houseguest* uses is still around but the glass that *Dirty houseguest* left out overnight has disappeared. It would add a level of paranoia and cause dissent in the house because in any group, there is always at least one person who doesn't think messy is bad and at least one person who likes things clean. The house might be tempted to vote to keep a clean person who isn't necessarily part of their alliance so they can keep having hot showers or to vote out a member of their alliance because that person doesn't mind cold showers (or doesn't shower at all) and keeps leaving their towel on the ground.
