  1. Yeah, seriously, I was rooting for Vivica right up until she decided to share Shawn's biznuz. Super uncool, lady.
  2. This is the first time I've willingly sat through anything Apprentice-related (although I did read the recaps on TWOP), and I'm sad that my early picks for entertainment and rootability are gone already. I was an unabashed fan of Rudy Huxtable back in the day, I was impressed that Kevin seemed more....um...intelligent than I expected, and this was the first time I've really found Gilbert Gottfried funny. So two likeable contestants and the only bearable comic relief gone? Not sure I can continue on. I can only guess Gilbert was fired for being cavalier and not "wanting it" enough, because honestly, a bad slogan is worse than an off-color joke. Maybe it says a lot about me that I laughed at said joke, but that slogan was pretty bad. Lorenzo seems totally useless. And I was a yooge Falcon Crest fan once upon a time!
  3. I think this may be the first time I've seen three vegetarian dishes in the top three, when it wasn't a vegetarian challenge. Very cool! Also, LOVECRAFT, YES! That would've been a terrific inspiration!
  4. I totally did not get a little misty-eyed during the final Word, nor did I get teary at all during the song. Nope, not me. No, you shut up!
  5. Oh, I absolutely think the other Flash at the time of his mother's murder is totally Barry. It's funny because one of my friends watching this has never read any of the comics, so he doesn't know what to expect at all. But he does think Wells is from the future, although he thinks Wells is Flash himself, not necessarily an evil Flash. So that's interesting. And then I told him about Vibe, and he got very, very sad.
  6. I will miss Adam, but I decided I'd root for Mei over him. Close call though. I actually liked him and his big mouth a lot. Then again, well, I live in New York... That said, New England chowder is vastly superior to Manhattan chowder. I mean, what is that? I figured Melissa was safe because while her dish was boring, it didn't have any lackluster components, particularly when it came to the protein. She just didn't maximize their potential. Also, also, Adam's big backstory reveal made me suspicious that he was doomed. Sure, they did it for George, but I didn't get the sense it was so he could leave right away again. I did feel incredibly sorry for him getting cut first, but I hope George steps it up with his creativity. I don't doubt his food was tasty, but it seemed as boring as Melissa's dish in my eyes. Doug seemed like the clear winner, classic flavors and all. Lastly, I suppose Katie couldn't necessarily last too much longer, but I was hoping she'd at least stay past Katsuji and maybe Melissa. She was an uneven chef, but when she was on, she really wowed folks, and I disliked how everyone just underestimated her no matter what.
  7. Oh, in regards to the red eyes, Professor Zoom/RF is usually drawn with those. They're one of the ways to distinguish him from the other RF.
  8. CALM DOWN, BEYONCE! Also, I legit once told a friend/colleague that her "tone seemed very pointed" when I was trying to delicately suggest her meeting etiquette was could stand improvement.
  9. I love Alaska like none other and was rooting for her to win S5, but I'm shocked she was #2. Higher than Jinx? How did that happen?
  10. I don't doubt Eddie will somehow become a Reverse Flash, but I'm still putting money on Wells to be the more dangerous Reverse Flash -- or Professor Zoom. Again, his whole shtick has always been that the Flash needs to be the best hero he can be, and usually, a hero grows best by overcoming challenges (ya know, like recovering from the traumatic loss of family). In the Blackout episode, we got this scenario, yeah? And the Flash is a crucial player in the original Crisis on Infinite Earths. In order to save everything, he needs to be the best hero he can be. Oh yeah, and at least one of the Reverse Flashes is a time-traveler. It's mashing together a lot of concepts from different eras, but I'd lay cash money on this. Except whoa, would they really do Crisis?
  11. Well, they're both better than the Whizzer. MARVEL. Excellent point too, Grace19, regarding Iris's bravery. It's easier in some ways to be brave when you are the Flash and have powers, whereas Iris out there alone as far as she knows. Also, common sense and bravery aren't always the same thing. As far as the blog goes, I have no real beef with it or her doing it, but I really hope Barry kicks himself hard daily for having ended up encouraging her to sign her actual name to it. Good going, guy.
  12. There's actually something a little meta about Iris being in danger because of a blog, considering the continuing online controversy about cyber harrassment. A woman writes/records/says something and gets a hailstorm of death threats and viciously ugly insults. So, while it's sort of a dopey hook to get Iris into her future newsreporting career, this guy coming after her for what she wrote about is actually quite topical and done so in a subtle way (probably so subtle that no one in the writing room intended that message, but it still popped up). I dig that, even if I still just sort of tolerate Iris. At least the actress isn't horrible.
  13. Well, here's a completely depressing answer to the question Bourdain posed -- who gets more prority, the safari annimals or the Masai, and who should get the bigger priority? Apparently, neither. :/ http://www.salon.com/2014/11/17/tanzania_will_sell_masai_homeland_to_dubai_royal_family/
  14. My never-ending love for "E=MC Hammer" proves I should spend a night dorking out with Barry and Felicity.
  15. Longtime poster from TWOP, finally making my way over here...I'm surprised any comics fan might think Harrison Well's not really HUnter Zoom. His whole deal was forcing the Flash to become a better hero through overcoming all the ordeals Zoom would throw his way. And Harrison Wells makes me think of H.G. Wells...and his time machine. Something tragic's destined for Eddie Thwane, ain't no doubt there, but all my money's on Harrison to be Nora's murderer and the big bad to come. Makes me very worried for Joe, actually.
