  1. LOL!! I've never actually read a single piece of fan fiction on any show/movie/scenario. You've taken my virginity, damn it!! I was pure. Oh, I thoroughly enjoyed Aunt Agatha's response to Ross when he suggested that she move to Nampara: "What and deny myself the pleasure of tormenting him?" Good old Aunt Agatha, she lives to make George's life miserable.
  2. Umm, just ewwww! Brain scrub, brain scrub. Mental Image Alert!!!
  3. Well, the show's creator is on record as stating there will be no Dutch/Johnny relationship now or ever. That's her choice and it doesn't bother me. I like their relationship just the way it is. Sometimes friends who love each other are just friends who love each other.
  4. Noooooooo!!!! Don't name him. You've given that parasite life. Elizabeth may be bitter about her own experiences, but she truly was loved by Francis and is probably still loved by Ross. It wasn't too long ago that she told Ross that they both still own a piece of each other's heart. Some people never have that in their lives. The man she's married to is one such person.
  5. Okay, that all makes sense. Thank you for clarifying a somewhat confusing part of the episode. I was able to keep track of all the machinations of Ross and crew in their attempts to feed the starving people. It was a worthy effort and well-coordinated by all. Sure, George, unable to accept the outcome, reacted in his typical nasty way, and made the whole thing about himself, "Ross deliberately arranged things so that I would be made to look like a fool!". (Talking to George/) Uh, no George, he's just not that into you. Ross tried to rectify a horrible situation and although he knew that you might attempt to interfere and he blocked you in advance just in case, but this really had nothing to do with you. George, you're a magistrate not Lord of Cornwall. (/talking to George) If George should be angry with anyone, it should be Cudgel. (that's what I'll call him because he's unworthy of an actual name and I don't want to be bothered looking up his worthless ass in IMDB) Cudgel helped, but George managed to look like a fool all by himself
  6. @nodorothyparker, I'm a bit confused about Elizabeth's final actions. Was she aware that Morwenna was pretend crying and in reality was laughing at the thought of being "banished" back to Trenwith? I got the sense that Elizabeth was truly horrified at George's attempt to marry off Morwenna to the odious distinguished Whitworth and simply lied to George by informing him that Morwenna felt truly chastised. Yes, George was at his villainous best in this episode and yes, Ross was doing his version of twisted heroics, but Elizabeth's actions were a puzzle to me. Was she aware that she was actually helping Morwenna escape the horrors of House Warleggan or was she so addled by the Laudanum that she thought she was actually punishing her cousin? Everything happened so quickly at the end and I felt the direction suffered in its handling.
  7. What a wonderful line by George Warleggan when discussing a potential suiter for Morwenna: "The man is a reptile and a prig, he is also a Godolphins. Morwenna does not realize how lucky she is!" You tell her George, what does a woman know, when presented with the choice to marry a Godolphins. Morwenna should be thanking you, George. The ingrate. Damn, life sucks when you live like that. At this point, I don't know which is worse, the thought of marrying Cary Warleggan or marrying a beloved Godolphins. My Poldark Most Wanted Dead List: 1) George Warleggan 2) Cary Warleggan 3) Warleggan Thug WITH Cudgel (Doesn't even have a name, which proves no one even knows what species he is) 4) Last, but not least, a Godolphins Was the tailor trying to tell us something when he measured the inseam of the Grand Godolphins? Was Junior Godolphins cold and feeling a bit of Costanza shrinkage?
  8. They need more females on the crew besides Dutch and Lucy. Right now, it's a sausage-fest. If Ollie stays, I'm all for it. I wish Pawter had stayed and become the ship's physician, but she moved on.
  9. I did not mean to suggest that it was consensual. I tried to paint a less bleak picture. Yes, it was in fact rape and no, there's no fantasy aspect to it. That's why I said "rape or belated passion". People see what they choose to see. Perhaps "tryst" was the wrong word, but I hardly like the fact that our "hero" raped his deceased cousin's widow.
  10. I don't like the sound of that description. Damn! Wynonna will beat it, I have faith in her badassery.
  11. If the Tentacle thought it was tough possessing Waverly, wait until it camps out in Winonna. I laughed at The Dolls/Doc exchange - Doc: Our friend might prefer someone who is....human. Dolls: Your head looks so small without your hat. I think Dolls won THAT round.
  12. I've been a Stephanie Leonidas (Clara) fan ever since she played Irisa on "Defiance" and even in her first appearance as a young girl in love with Dr. Ellingham on "Doc Martin". Unfortunately, she's pretty popular and probably will not be coming back. Some of the actors get better roles and move on (see Sarah Power, Pawter, who now co-stars in " Good Witch"). Ollie is the new Clara, unfortunately. Hopefully, she grows on us if she stays. It would have been nice if Anna Hopkins, Ambrosia, ("Defiance", "Arrow") was a good person and she could have stayed. Again, another popular actress. The Killjoys are gonna need a bigger team if they are going to go up against all the Sixes created by Khlyen's race. Dutch and Johnny have never been a "couple" romantically and he described their relationship perfectly when he said that they're "non-sexual Life Partners". I don't think they're OTP or end-game and it works for them as it allows them to be the ultimate Killjoys.
  13. Ahhhhhhh!!!! I can finally come out of hiding and join this thread. I've been avoiding it like it's Goo. This episode was High-Larry-Us. Every friggin comment was snark on toast. I absolutely loved it. The gang is back, a little worse for wear, but things will straighten out. Goononna is going to be such a thrill, much funnier than Gooverly. I don't even mind Rosita (what's the deal with her, anyway? Something doesn't feel right about her) and Jeremy. I thought the Gardeners were weird before, now they're just plain Devil's Spawn. At least Mercedes and Beth are still alive, so there's hope. Tucker is the same little shitty perv he was before; at least he had sense enough to talk to Nicole, in a complete assholery kind of way. So, Dolls is what, a Salamander? What the Hell happened to Lucado? Did she just wig out? That was some cold crap she pulled on Waverly. The Earp girls owe her a little something.
  14. While out on my daily walk, I happened to listen to the podcast titled, "The Skillet of Justice" from the podcast series Poldark Podcast as discussed by three lovely ladies from the U.K., France, & the U.S. All three are avid Poldark fans and have read the books, and I assume, have seen P75. Anyway, it brought me back to the first two episodes of season two when Ross was tried for all those ridiculous charges. I did not know it at the time of watching those episodes, that it was the first meeting of all the major players gathering in support of Ross or conspiring to have him murdered. Ross and Demelza re-igniting their love after the loss of Julia; Francis in descent of despair and contemplating suicide; Elizabeth torn by her need to save Ross by desperately, foolishly, arranging meetings between George and Ross; Aunt Agatha, astute as ever, watching Elizabeth pace with indecision about traveling to Bodmin; George Warleggan, Cary Warleggan, and that slimy snake Tankard, plotting Ross' demise; and Dwight Enys and Caroline Penvenen's first meeting when she asked him to save her dog, Horace. Two outstanding episodes that probably bolstered my fascination of the Poldark tales.
  15. Okay, so she's even younger than I thought, she just turned 12. Well, reports were that Sarah Hyland was supposed to be in this episode, but I guess she wasn't.
  16. I don't mind Clary, but her acting doesn't seem to come naturally, as if she was chosen for her appearance rather than her acting. She could probably use some tips, but I don't dislike her. I don't think very much of Simon's acting, this in spite of my regard for the character. I know some here are in thrall of Will Tudor, and I did like him as Odi in "Humans", but to me, he's just another character, although he's a fine actor. I'm not familiar with the show "Modern Family", so I don't know if that was Sarah Hyland playing the Seelie Queen, if so, I can't see her as Dominic Sherwood's [Jace] girlfriend IRL. She looks like she's about 15 yrs. old. Whoever played the Queen, did a good job.
  17. "No one wants to eradicate humans, they're delicious." That's hilarious. Hell, people will nuke Seattle if they learn that the plan is to just get along and perhaps bit by bit overtake the rest of the humans in the world. It's all a no-win situation. Plus, if your diet consists solely of dead old people, that doesn't seem very nutritious no matter how delicious they are. Moldy bread is still moldy bread.
  18. So far, no one other than those Zombies and Humans closest to Baracus are aware that he's a Zombie, correct? I'm disappointed in Chase, I was hoping that his plan was to retreat from the mainland and bring all Zombies to Zombie Island. I don't see what he is doing is any better than what Carey Gold proposed except she saw Zombies as a superior species and wanted to eradicate humans. Chase wants to live in harmony which, to me, is a pipe dream. Poor Liz, she's not only going to be an outcast among Humans but among Zombies also.
  19. I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are proposing. Contact BBC One Points of View to what end? Take this conversation a step further....why? Let's be clear, this forum is Poldark 2015, anything that happens in the future can only be predicted, but it is best if we let the story play out. What we know is clear and plain: Elizabeth and Ross had a tryst, the circumstances of which are controversial. (Rape or belated passion) The ONLY people that know that a tryst took place for a fact, is Elizabeth and Ross. All others are GUESSING. Aunt Agatha was not in the room, so any snide comments or allusions that she makes are purely suppositional. The only thing that Demelza knows is that Ross traveled to Trenwith and came home the next morning. She may THINK she knows what happened, but she doesn't KNOW. (Despite the wonderful fact that she knocked the shit out of Ross the next day, and he never complained) I don't recall Ross confirming her suspicions. NO ONE knows the paternity of Valentine, including Elizabeth and Ross. Elizabeth, at this point, only has Aunt Agatha's remarks and the strange timing of the pregnancy that casts any doubt as to Valentine's paternity. Certainly Elizabeth may now suspect, but only because Aunt Agatha takes a delicious delight in clouding the issue with small glances and "innocent" remarks. Until Demelza made the comments to Ross about the timing and the strange circumstances of Elizabeth's fall down the stairs, not even Ross suspected. George has NO idea and has no reason to question Valentine's paternity. George is so self-absorbed, that the thought of such a situation is unthinkable. So, as far as we know, Elizabeth and Ross had sex, and after her marriage to George, she became pregnant and ended up delivering Valentine.
  20. Damn!!!! You're on your game. You've got the Tumblr skills down pat. Bravo ? I'm going to have to study that map closely. Hopefully, it will also show where the BBD Headquarters are and how closely they are to the Triangle. That clawed creature in the crate that Doc blew up was stored there for some reason. I can't imagine no one knew it was there.
  21. Coming late to the table and finally sitting down......I don't know if this was already surmised, but I would think the person on the phone speaking with Luke is Sebastian. (faux-Sebastian?) He set up Luke, then when Luke was in the cell with Valentine, he quickly went to Alex and told him he "discovered" the looped video feed. The real Sebastian is probably the person locked in the closet.
  22. Hmm, I got the impression that there was a lot of dissatisfaction here with the choice of McNamara as Clary. There are probably 1 or 2 that don't like her and I took it to be the general consensus. Thanks for responding. I do have one thing I thought was OOC, the whole Izzy (one of the hottest women on T.V.) bringing Simon to meet Rafael's sister in the park and to have him take a picture with the woman. WTF, Izzy? That's not the kind of message you want to send to the Vamp leader. That whole incident was made worse, when Rafael and his Scoobies grabbed Simon in the restaurant and while two of the Scoobies held Simon, Rafael was going to move in and dust him. That entire incident was incredibly stupid. Neither Izzy nor Simon should have threatened Rafael that way (NOT cool) and Rafael shouldn't need henchmen to hold Simon while he staked him. What kind of macho leadership is that? Of course, Luke swoops in and saves Simon, who embarrasses himself even further by taunting Rafael and his crew. Just a minor peeve. :-(
  23. Hi All, I don't remember if I've posted here yet, but I have in other forums on this web site. I would like to ask a question, if I may: Why do a lot of people here dislike Clary? Is it because of the actress, Katherine McNamara, and her acting or is it because of the difference between the character in the TV series and the books? I haven't read the books but I've seen the movie and I watched last season, and the only complaint I have with her is that she's a newbie, and this year she's sort of an accomplished veteran all of a sudden. (Her fighting scenes suck though, they need to have a stunt double work with her physicality) The only character I have a problem with is Simon. For some reason he feels like he's entitled, especially to Clary's attention and he brings zero skills to the table. He's a vampire, that's it. If it wasn't for the fact that he's one of the main characters, he would be dust by now. Everyone protects him, yet he acts like he's some badass. I have no problems with anyone else, except perhaps maybe Max. (the little shit)
  24. She should be careful of what she wishes for. Although, ghost-Madams would be a hoot. Since the Madams have all the juicy information (please, hold back your giggles), Wynonna, Waverly, Nicole, and most especially Doc, could use some CI's (Confidential Informants) to help. Since the Revenants are in hiding, they need help finding all these new demons, that is, if Waverly doesn't scare them all away, or eat them. :-)
  25. Did they talk about the triangle last season? If so, does anyone know what area it covers? I hope they provide more info on the BBD.
