  1. Actually, I grew tired of the constant cast changes, and searched for a replacement and found a series starring Kris Marshall, called "Murder City" (2004). In "Murder City" Marshall plays a character similar to DI Goodman. After Series 4 in "Death in Paradise" began with even more new characters, I came back here hoping to read that the series is worth the time investment. The Formulaic procedural is already difficult to enjoy without the constant cast changes.
  2. There are fans of this Troll? There's no coming back to the family after what she has done. She's now Demon Chum and I cannot see her ever escaping the grasp of Leland's Master. The joy she is getting out of others' misfortunes is sick.
  3. Unfortunately, he's one of the representations of "Evil". It comes in many forms, including Grandma, who has aligned herself with Evil. Can't write out the villian of the story until he gets his cruel demise. (Hopefully 😇)
  4. This ^. Why the “Hell” does the Monsignor even allow him in the church? While I loathe every character that he plays (“Lost”, “Persons of Interest”) Michael Emerson certainly owns the Creep card and can play it very well. I hate him. 😔
  5. Yes, Sheryl, thank you. I'm bad at names. I wasn't exactly cheering her for torturing Taylor(?). I was too busy thinking that she has descended into an Evil B*tch who has sold her soul for what???? I don't understand her dehumanization. What could possibly turn her into this? She chose this????? Is she so desperate for money that she could WILLINGLY become this creature?
  6. Wow, tough crowd, "Donner Party Picnic" was my poor attempt at being facetious. Sorry, if I offended. Noted Re: Murderous Plants. I seem to remember a certain incident in the episode "DNA: Mad Scientist", where a certain Delvian Priestess chopped off one of Pilot's arms for star charts. Those plants can be aggressive. Granted, aggressive behavior is not the same as murder.
  7. Not the way I thought it had gone, I thought she had shrunk Zhaan down because she was a rare species of plant and a "Collectible". Her desperation led her to become a hungry scientist willing to trap and kill other species for food. Not exactly a Donner Party Picnic. https://explorethearchive.com/donner-party-facts "At least four people were deliberately killed during the trip." One: Tensions were running high well before the Donner Party was trapped. Around the time they rejoined the California Trail near modern-day Elko, Nevada, a fight broke out between two teamsters over tangled wagons. When James F. Reed intervened, he was whipped for his efforts. He pulled a knife in self-defense, killing his attacker, John Snyder.
  8. Wasn't she a scientist who killed and ate her team members? IMO, I think a sentient species of superior intellect who does THAT, can be considered an out-of-control Murderer.
  9. Digging the series, and I enjoy all of the characters and their respective performers, with the obvious exception of Leland and Shirley. I thought this episode was hilarious but only as far as Sister Andrea’s Demon foil role. She’s excellent as a “thumbing her nose at a demon” Nun. I wanted to watch the episode with my son, but I have to admit, the antics of the demon were embarrassing. Not the showing of his Bum to the sister, but his total attempt at gamesmanship was over-the-top. The Demon came off as a buffoon and not very intimidating. I did enjoy the kids’ treatment of Magnificent Ben, and actually felt he was no match for the team of 12 year old wunderkinds. Poor Ben 🤭.
  10. R.I.P. if I recall, while rifling through my mental “Farscape” file, didn’t the actress play different characters in a few episodes? I may be confusing the actress with Ben Browser’s wife who played the Murderous Herbivore on one episode and a trickster in that bizarre drugged out episode when Crichton and D’Argo got rolled on the strip.
  11. Above my paygrade as to the rest of your questions, but I perceive the answer to this question is fairly typical of societies: Ysabeau is female and Baldwin is male.
  12. Not having read the books, I'm probably unqualified to give you a satisfactory answer, but from what I can tell having watched the entire series, Demons are marginalized to the point of frequent exclusion from most council business. They aren't shown to do anything "demonish" but I personally, would view it as a cultural prejudice. HOWEVER, and this is a big HOWEVER, their very existence is crucial to the show and their purpose will be explained by the end of the series. Hope this provides some answers.
  13. My bad, it was Knox who got dispersed, not Gerbert. 😔
  14. Thank you for that info. I was hoping for more retribution for some of those plotting against Diana. I’ll have to rewatch this episode knowing it’s was series finale.
  15. Season 3, Episode 7 aired in the U.S. on February 17, 2022. It’s billed as the season ending episode. If there is a season 4 planned, I haven’t found any news on that front. There are addendums to the series that show “Behind the Scenes”, so if you do buy the series, check to see if you’re getting all the extra episodes.
  16. I thought Sarah (Alex Kingston) used Dark Magic to disperse the essence of the Mega-Jerk Gerbert? How did he manage to coalesce? 🤔I cheered when Diana bound Satu. It was the perfect retaliation for helping Benjamin and for “Opening Up Diana”. When Diana took her powers away before, Satu was left beaten and a shell. Being left out of the political games and rendered just an ordinary human, was well deserved. Her hubris that she was the Witch prophecy spoke of came crashing down. Nicely done, Diana. 👍
  17. And yet she remains a bitch with no redeeming qualities. Every "evil" character had some redeeming trait with the exception of Giles and the twins who are obsessed with George. Ms. Hart isnt even a very good "Coroner". She IS knowledgeable but uses her position for personal gain instead of in search of the truth. I don't know what her character is supposed to represent and whatever she brings, I grit my teeth at her scenes and expect nothing but the worst.
  18. Torture? Is that what they call it? No offense meant but, I see some sick person with petty grievances who used to sell drugs from her previous employer's locked drug cabinet and wants to feel accepted so bad that she's willing to kill and is playing out this elaborate Alice In Wonderland Tea Party. Her husband is an entitled cad who wanted to thumb his nose at society by flaunting his Black girlfriend. Yes, he's odious, but does he really deserve to be in some endless opium daze and chained up? It's a bit excessive, IMO, and I question the show's motives in showing such a despicable character in such contrast to the brilliant Dr. Julia Ogden
  19. So they had a girl, I usually watch with Closed Captioning, but I guess I didn't hear them say Jordan was the name of a baby girl. I had also posted how sick I am of faux-coroner Hart and am disappointed the show replaced the likeable Rebecca James with this odious character Violet Hart.
  20. Hmm, I thought I had answered this last night but my post disappeared. Season 15 Ep 2 aired and the Boy's name (Yes, it's a boy) is Jordan.
  21. There was a particular episode (among the many episodes showing the crew & Moya surviving death) and Chianna, (To show her worth and appreciation), cooked everyone's favorite delicacy. I don't remember what Zhaan ate. Plant or Meat.
  22. Those are some of my favorite Sci-Fi shows and I would throw in the Stargate SG-1 franchise and the David Tennant & Christopher Eccleston "Doctor Who" experiment. I Haven't watched any of the latest incarnations of the Doctor, so I have no opinion of Jodie Whittaker as the 13th doctor. Current SciFi really doesn't adhere too much to actual science. In fact, I put most sci-fi as more "Fantasy". Even the older shows and movies used vague explanations regarding how an event was possible; officially called "TechnoBabble".
  23. Let's see here, Zhaan was a plant but her species of plant was Carnivorous. She was not an Herbivore (although I don't recall if she considered it Cannibalism). I believe she needed meat for sustenance, much like that Biologist found stranded by their Rescue shuttle and who ate the other scientists (although he needed the bones). (The scientist was played by Ben Browder's wife). Zhaan grew spores as her body shut down from lack of meat.
