  1. She didn't kill him though and only went to jail because she buried him too close or too far to/from the house. I like Gloria. I didn't at first but her quirkiness and social awkwardness are endearing. I especially liked it when she teased George by putting the George/Fiona kiss on the front page knowing that it would bug him.
  2. Heh, not bad! The suspense was well done. I actually thought one of the three lost at sea, would not return, especially the Aussie Steve. However, paulvdb, is correct, we really don't need a Jan cliffhangar right after season two's cliffhangar resolution. Damn it, but Ollie is seriously creepy. To me, the highlight of the episode was Siouxsie, and the looks by Shay and George when she first spoke to them. Clearly they were both wondering "who the hell are you" and it was Siouxsie, who didn't have time to "get her kit on". Although I had seen the actress without her usual Goth makeup before, I REALLY didn't recognize her. I also liked how she saw through Ollie right off the bat, and knew what he was up to. I can't believe that he seriously thought about letting the "competition" perish. Shows how twisted the character is being portrayed. First question: Is Woody really going to pretend that he's happy with his spur-of-the-moment decision to propose to Tracey? We've seen him do this before with Becks. (Not own up to his real feelings) I'm reasonably certain that he loves Tracey, he just doesn't seem like he's ready to settle down. He also doesn't realize that Tracey really loves him and can accept Woody for the lovable nut that he is. Second question: How long is George going to keep Fiona at arms length? If he truly cares for her, he should talk to her. She's hurting and it's kind of painful to watch. Third question: What the heck is going on with Gloria? She looked like she was on the run. I enjoyed this episode and I'm glad 800 Words is back.
  3. Damn, I missed it. Been too busy to watch anything. I'll log on in a few, and try to watch it. Thanks for the reminder. I would never have thought that I needed to be reminded but now I live on the Left Coast again, and am still trying to get reacclimated.
  4. Yep. I know what you mean. Fall shows are the meat and potatoes of the TV entertainment world; while summer shows are for the quirky and offbeat experimental shows. For me, I try to mix in some drama from other countries, particularly British, Australian, and New Zealand. I live in the states, but can watch the shows I want to watch live. If you come across "800 Words" while channel hopping, linger for awhile. It's a nice change of pace. Enjoy.
  5. How much did you watch? Admittedly, the show starts off kind of slow as the characters and their quirks become known and they are fleshed out. The house troubles kind of take over the story, in the beginning, and add to the humor, especially as it's the WRONG house. As season 1 progresses, the stories start to involve more than the house and the kids' school.
  6. Is it disappointing of me that I thought you meant you have "watched" the episode before it aired and was confirming its "goodness" firsthand?
  7. To be blunt, honest, and NOT use an initialism, What The Fuck??? I like "Killjoys", but I love "Dark Matters" AND "Wynonna Earp". I don't watch "Blood Drive" nor "Z Nation", nor any of the other crap Syfy puts on. Syfy chooses to extend "Killjoys", in all of its confusing mythology, for another 2 years but cancels DM now???? ??
  8. Welll, that's a poor reason to be sent to Hell, IMO. ? I don't think it's been established yet that the Order is dead. Dolls killed a couple of guys but I don't think the whole crew died at Doll's hands.
  9. What happened to the traditional Boy/Girl; Girl/Girl; Boy/Boy? Now we have Bob, Carol, Ted, and Alice? Ain't love grand! Glad I sewed my oats when I turned 90. ;-)
  10. I wonder what the blue glow signifies? A mercy kill? Willa was sent back to Hell, I think, but Rosita just got winged. Perhaps it's a question of intent, or perhaps it was a shot made by a surrogate and not the heir herself. Question: Didn't Doc say he went to Hell when he died again? Why Hell and not Heaven? What evil has Doc done besides kill bad guys? Is killing just plain bad in this interpretation? Is this Emily Andras' belief that ALL killing is bad, regardless if it's an eye-for-an-eye? Is this a stand against the Death Penalty or am I just reading too much into it? The Order killed the doctor under the guise of being "good guys" or perhaps the "Greater Good". Why do they consider themselves the good guys when they kill people just like the bad guys?
  11. Ask Matt: Fall Preview (‘Me, Myself & I,’ ‘S.W.A.T.’), ‘Lucifer,’ ‘Twin Peaks,’ ‘Dance’ and Reality Judges Ask Matt: Give the Devil His Due Question: Why hasn’t Tom Ellis been nominated for an Emmy and/or Golden Globe as Best Actor for Lucifer? I’d be hard-pressed to think of another actor who can display his incredible range as a singer, actor and musician. Kudos to the producers; you dipped your hand into the goodie bag and pulled out a gem. Clearly, Ellis is an exceptional talent and should receive the recognition and credit he so richly deserves. Seriously, who else could portray the title character and the seriousness of the subject matter displaying a combination of moving drama interspersed with hysterically funny comedy and devilish charm? — Rafferty Matt Roush: There’s no doubt his charisma is the primary factor in Lucifer’s success, but whatever Tom Ellis’s merits, he’s operating in a genre that tends not to be much of a factor in most awards shows: the supernatural, plus the hybrid of humor and drama that makes it hard to peg. He’s also handicapped by appearing on a broadcast network, when the majority of nominations for drama shows anymore go to cable, premium or streaming. NBC’s This Is Us is an exception to that rule, and with two actors from that show—Sterling K. Brown and Milo Ventimiglia—nominated for lead drama actor, it would have taken a miracle from above (or possibly below) for Ellis to have made the cut. Me: I thought Ellis explained that it's not him playing the piano. Did I not hear correctly? He certainly IS talented, though. In fact, the entire cast is, and they look like they're having damn fun while they act their collective asses off, including our favorite Little Monkey.
  12. "Lost Girl" lost some of its allure with me when Bo broke up with Lauren and then Tamsin tried to take her place in Bo's bed. However, "Lost Girl" pissed me off when Kenzie left. I loved their relationship but I also understood that the actress who played Kenzie (Ksenia Solo), moved on to "Orphan Black" and it wasn't the show's fault that Kenzie left the show. Things DID convoluted towards the end, when her father finally made his appearance. As far as "Wynonna Earp", this show has its moments and some things work, while others don't. I liked the resolution of the fate of Alice Michelle (no last name??) and I, as a viewer, actually felt her loss, right along with Wynonna and Doc's sadness. While I was a Wynonna/Dolls shipper, I will admit that Wynonna/Doc make a good team. Doc may be miserable without his immortality ring, but I get the feeling that he would give up the ring in a heartbeat, if it meant that his daughter and Wynonna would be safe. Some things were less clear in this episode. When Bobo flung the boulder at Wynonna and Waverley, how the "hells" did they end up in some pasture? Dolls drove Doc's car while Doc used some shortcut and ran to Wynonna when Waverley used their code name for the delivery? The Order killed Wynonna's doctor? Why? Just because she knew of the existence of the new Heir? WTF?? The Order is useless and I don't understand why they were even written in. Brendan Fehr's role was just a total waste. I was totally disgusted when Rosita turned traitor and unlike unicorn23, I cannot forgive her for that. She claimed she was collateral damage and an innocent, when she became a Revenant, but she sure showed a Revenant's heart when she vowed to take the innocent baby and barter for her freedom. Someone mentioned Peacemaker had turned blue before, but I don't remember that occurrence. Dolls and Nicole's secret mission was odd, but I think Wynonna trusted them to be able to transport the baby to Aunt Gus without Waverley's sole help. Waves may have been too emotionally weak to let the baby go, not to mention that she had to leave the Ghost River Triangle and there was a fair chance that she couldn't cross that boundary. I am confused about Aunt Gus. I thought she fell out with Wynonna. Lot of cussing going on in the episode and every bit was funny. Wynonna sure likes to use variations of Vagina a lot and "Shit Strumpet" will be added to my lexicon. I'm glad the show was renewed and we get to meet the Earp's mother. Now, I'll go on ahead and read the various articles and perhaps I'll learn what Emily Andras was REALLY trying to convey by this finale.
  13. April and Jackson are going through difficulties that millions of families have gone through. That's reality. Hopefully, they'll work things out eventually; but it's a long and painful process. Some couples survive it, obviously some couples don't. IMO, they still love each other. Last time I watched, April was pregnant again. As I said before, the last episode I watched of GA, Mer was on the plane with the Not!Derek dude that I cannot stand.
  14. ?? Why apologize? You felt Shonda should not have killed off Patrick Dempsey's character. A lot of people struggled with her decision. Unfortunately, there was no better option. I think killing off characters is Shonda's go-to move. I also think she knew better than to kill off Cristina; there would have been rioting in the streets.
  15. Exactly. It's the only logical way to write out the character and still maintain his image and reputation. Now, Shonda has written out characters and sometimes in horrible ways, but Derek was a beloved character and no matter the differences the actor had with Shonda, she gave him the respect he was due and killed him off.
  16. How, exactly, do you write out a major character like Patrick Dempsey, who is married to the LEAD actress? Do you have him fall in love with another person and leave Meredith? Do you have him take another job in another state or country and leave his wife and children behind? (Tried that, it didn't stick) I'm pretty sure your arch-nemesis, Shonda, thought about what was the most believable, authentic, way to write him out without doing major damage to the character's reputation. Actors leave shows all the time for various reasons, and it's up to the writers to figure out the best way to accomplish that. It's easy enough to say they should have done this or they should have done that but until you actually have to do it and weigh in all the ramifications, it's just not that simple and easy.
  17. Thanks Nadine!!! I like that they didn't reveal any spoilers but I wonder who was getting married? Perhaps Woody & Tracey? (He did propose!) I'm not sure if this sneak peek is for the coming episodes or just the premiere. Funny time to get married, when there's a life & death story to tell. In the States, Sneak Peeks are produced by the networks, not the show runners, without regard to spoilers. Someone could be on the brink of death at the close of the episode, and then the previews for the next week's episode reveals them to be alive. Thank you Channel 7 for not revealing anything besides Jan's delivery and a mysterious wedding. (Nadine, I think you got your wish and Jan will probably stay in Weld, perhaps with Big Al) Fiona still looks pissed and I hope it's not because the twins are George's (now THAT would be a twist). Oh God, did I just jinx it? Don't let it be George, don't let it be George!!! Ugh, Lindsay & Arlo. Please spare me show. Emma was a cutie pie and a bit of a cheat, but please don't make Lindsay Arlo's rebound. Still no word on when it premieres, but at least it's coming. I need something to distract me from the "Poldark" hiatus.
  18. WTH??? Everything was going fine until the last few minutes. I can accept the pseudo-memory loss, but the pretend memory-loss vow to the unseen person just throws the whole shit out of whack.
  19. I watched S1 & 2 on YouTube but the format for S3 & 4 wasn't fun. I ended up buying those seasons on Google Play for like $20 each. I can watch them anywhere, DVD's or not.
  20. Good point! I did not even think about that. He was losing at cards and even at the high-card draw when he drew a 3 against a Queen. That's an odd ring that gives you immortality and good luck. I guess the two may go hand in hand as you need the latter to provide the former. As far as the rings go, I forgot about the casting of the rings that gave them directions. Not very accurate as far location goes, but correct as far as Nedley.
  21. The Witches are Spider Demons, so I don't think they can pass the threshold marking the homestead. Greta had to know that the ring was iron otherwise her spell wouldn't work. How would she know it was made out of iron when nobody even knew what the 3rd seal was? I can buy Mercedes torturing Nedley if her spell directed her towards him, but that is somehow circular reasoning and brings me back to the question of why would Wynonna give the ring to Nedley in the first place. So, the dinner plate has a special design that I think Jeremy was working on, but the Order took it away and somehow gives it back to Dolls to help with the Witches but doesn't explain how it works? Wynonna has been deputized by Dolls and the Black Badge Division. She carries a badge and showed it to the doctor when she went to see Nicole.
  22. LMAO, the Initiative, that's hilarious. I remember Buffy routinely kicking their collective arses. Riley was the worst, besides that book nerd who said being with her was too dangerous. Yeah, The Order serves no purpose other than possibly being used as a Deus ex Machina. This is one of my main complaints about this show. Things and people are introduced haphazardly and without an explanation. It's good that they held back destruction of the trophy for use in this episode but all that has done is reset Purgatory to its state before Wynonna's arrival, but Greta doesn't get her sister back and Wynonna was trying to clean up the town. Unless Greta likes Purgatory the way it was when Bobo was around, why wish for that. Speaking of Bobo.........?
