  1. I'm almost never affected anymore but this one got to me. I think it was the fact that two separate men on two separate occasions woke up and (as the one mom pointed out) went to the park on a beautiful day and decided to rape and kill a little girl. No biggie. Just saw them and took them for their own gratification. I'm angry and DISGUSTED because I know there are plenty more where they came from. What is wrong with some men? I don't get it.
  2. Nobody will ever be able to convince me that Kyle isn't still bitter over the Mauricio/tabloids incident. I think the vast majority of her issues with LVP is because she's holding that grudge.
  3. Oh, Williams needs to stay exactly where he is. I thought the show was very well done but I hated the inclusion of Frank Ski and the other lady who were so charmed by Williams. Of course he made you believe him; he's a sociopath. That's the beauty of evidence, of which there is plenty. The rest of the cases need a closer look if even just to say definitively that Williams did them (except the girls, I agree that they don't fit).
  4. I'm all for reexamining the case to get justice for the families of the other, what, 20+ dead children who have never received answers. Maybe Williams will be tied to all of them. Maybe not. But let's not pretend like they didn't haphazardly throw all the murders in his lap just to close the case and shut the community up. I think he did most if not all of them but many of the families are still wondering. Wouldn't you want to know for sure one way or the other? I would. And if you know anything about the history of the south, you would know the klan angle isn't far-fetched at all. Again, I think Williams is guilty but I don't understand all the resistance to taking another look.
  5. Agree about Children in the Snow although the BTK show gave it a run for its money. I had never seen BTK's personal pictures and I literally got nauseous. Both docs were well-done. CITS was like watching a real-life version of True Detective.
  6. On the latest Evil Lives Here: Your son is mean and emotionally unstable. What better way to bond than to buy him guns? And then when you see that he's accumulated an ARSENAL of guns and ammo, you pat yourself on the back because he's finally interested in something. I'm a gun owner myself but I will never understand these kinds of parents. I literally wanted to slap that father across the face.
  7. I find these posts confusing. Are some under the impression that racism/racial unrest related to the police only started after Ferguson? Anyhow, I enjoyed this episode. I agree with those who found some of the acting/dialogue to be less than stellar but it didn't overshadow the good stuff for me. Amelia and Hays continue to blow me away in their scenes together and Lucy really got a chance to shine this week.
  8. No to Kenya coming back, yes to Phaedra! Kandi annoys me because she never owns her messiness. I don't mind vengeance or pettiness, but I haaaate passive aggressive. This whole thing is backfiring on her because even her own fans are telling her to move on. Dennis the menace...yuck.
  9. Hmmm, I do think New Edition is a legendary group which makes Ronnie legendary by extension. But I agree that she goes overboard when she says it five times per episode. That first time during her first episode was enough. Not to nitpick, but I don't think mainstream or crossover success is any indication of anything for R&B artists other than more money (yay!) and white acceptance (meh). I can think of quite a few R&B groups or artists that never crossed over who are beloved and legendary to the AA community.
  10. I really enjoyed this episode. And I agree that everybody deserved their win. My favorite shady quotes: Eva to Marlo after losing the runway challenge: Marlo you know exactly how this feels since you just lost Kandi: Marlo is always giving advice nobody asked for Shamari: all Dennis needed was a top hat and a four leaf clover Porsha: well I love a good brow but your husband doesn't have any LMAO Also, I learned that legends don't need eyebrows. Thanks Shamari!
  11. I hate Marlo but damn if she didn't make me cackle. Her drive-by shade toward Eva was so random and odd that it bordered on absurdity which cracked me up. Big sister is code for Auntie and Nene knows it and that's why she was offended by the Miami snub. Eva. Girl. Facial region? Just...no. Porsha and Ace were adorable. He really took to her. Like father, like son lol. Not a lot happened on the episode but I enjoyed it.
  12. I know I'm just a pathetic moo cow and therefore would have been pitied by Chris but it was still a sad story. And I'm sure his family has to be kicking themselves looking back on what should have been an obvious ruse. Then again, if you live a semi-nomadic life, your loved ones probably wouldn't think much of you up and leaving like that.
  13. Re: last night's People Magazine Investigates...I would be far too ashamed to go on national TV and admit "the killer told me 20 years ago that he killed that girl but I didn't tell anybody because I thought he was kidding/nobody asked me/I forgot/just never got around to it."
  14. Yes, obviously we all have different experiences and opinions and yes it would be rude to track mud or visible dirt in. But for me it's better to clean germs off my floor than to make a guest feel uncomfortable. A guest usually will not tell you they're uncomfortable/you're rude but I feel strongly about this because I was a pregnant guest in someone's home and she insisted on me removing my shoes. I was embarrassed by my swollen feet and had to ask her for socks. I was polite and kept my thoughts to myself but I never set foot in her house again. To bring this back to the show lol, Darlene was clearly uncomfortable with removing her shoes. It wouldn't have killed him to just clean up after she left. Making an issue of it just made him seem like a jerk to me.
  15. I stand with Darlene on the shoe thing. I was raised to put the guest's comfort first. If the guest insists on wearing shoes, let them (barring cultural or religious reasons). Why? Maybe they have ugly feet they're embarrassed to show. Maybe their socks don't match. Maybe THEY have a thing about germs and don't know how clean your floors are. Or maybe they're just generally more comfortable that way. Now the wine thing could go either way for me but I lean toward Darlene here, too. She's on her own with the salt :D I thought it was a solid episode although the Jackie storyline makes me sad. But I agree that it's totally in character for her to choose a guy like...forgot his name. Blue didn't annoy me and I found her scene very funny and germane to the story.
  16. That reminds me...does EVERYTHING she does have to be named Bailey something? Because if I heard Bailey in relation to alcohol, I wouldn't think Cynthia Bailey, I would think Bailey's Irish Cream. She's not enough of a household name to drive sales like that. Even Betheny didn't try that. She created a cute little brand and used her star power to market it.
  17. Like I said last week, Kandi isn't wrong for going after Porsha/retaliating but she's just so BAD at it. When messy queen Don Juan is sick of your shit, you're doing it wrong. Eva's mom is a piece of work. I guess the door is back closed on the Nene/Porsha friendship. Cynthia zzzzzzzzz.
  18. When did Kenya have a miscarriage? I know Porsha had some but Kenya gave an interview saying everything about the IVF process was easy for her.
  19. I liked this episode. There was shade but it was light-hearted. I hope we see more of TAN-ya, she seems fabulous, like the type of fabulous Marlo aspires to which is probably why she was mugging her so hard lol. I know and understand why Porsha isn't everyone's cup of tea but that woman keeps me cackling. She would be a ton of fun to hang out with (as long as you're on her good side). Something's wrong: I thought Kandi looked the best at the baileyque. Speaking of, somebody make it stop. The nicknames and portmanteaus are so lame to me. As are the FaceTime scenes. Who wants you watch that? I'm giving Eva a short pass on her messiness because she's giving us a wedding this season. Shamari. Chile...I'm here for the dragging ET is going to give her next week. The whole situation is trash but it's their trash that nobody knew about until she told her MOTHER IN LAW on national television.
  20. She has natural hair that is heat trained. And those are contact lenses. It's been talked about on the show before. But even if they were real, they have nothing to do with her hair.
  21. Add me to the list of folks who isn't feeling Geena. The original adult Geena, from what little I saw of her, seemed sweet, gorgeous, and potentially funny. I can see why DJ would be attracted to her and want to make her happy. The new Geena? She's just loud and one-note, and just as overbearing as DJ's mother without the occasional charm or heartfelt moments. With this Geena, DJ probably only does what she says to keep from getting reprimanded. And frankly, as a black woman, I do find new Geena to be cringeworthy in a way that old Geena, Anne Marie, and Ronda never were. Just my .02. This episode was great. I'm looking forward to the banter between Darlene and Ben. Oh, I wasn't feeling the lesbian couple either. The short-haired one is not a good actress and that scene with just the two of them had a weird vibe to it. I would be fine not seeing them again but I don't think the writers would have introduced them if they weren't going to be part of the plot down the road. I also didn't miss the kids. The core family is good enough for me.
  22. You're spot on. The only reason the rumor gained traction is because Kandi kept bringing it up on camera. If she didn't want it out there at all she could have pulled an Adrian Maloof and kept production from airing it in the first place. There's no case there at all and we all know it. And you're right, it's not a good look. It's the same thing Phaedra did to Kandi and iirc Kandi thought it was a shitty thing to do (and it was). They're all hypocrites so it's whatever but it's just another thing about Kandi that irks me. And I will never get over her allowing her hag of a mother to call Todd's mother a prostitute on national television.
  23. I agree with Nene...it was the wrong time and place but Ronnie told no lies. NE shows, even now, are flawless when it comes to placement, transitions, and moves. I saw a few clips of Xscape on tour and...well, again, he told no lies. Dennis is fair game just like every other significant other who comes on the show and Porsha has dished it so I have no issues with the tea spilling but Kandi is just so passive aggressive and annoying with it. And are we supposed to be scandalized by the fact that he buys gifts and cooks for his girlfriends? On a scale from Ain't Shit to Russell Wilson, I'd put Dennis somewhere in the middle at this point. Spill something else, Kandi's friends, because right now, your tea is stale af.
  24. She posted a pic of herself in Target on a scooter saying she's in excruciating pain and can't walk. I just don't understand this woman.
