I just dont' see Dabb seperating the brothers for 6 episodes. I figure Dean will be back either in episode 2 or 3, and we'll get flashbacks for the next 3 episodes.
-
It was live during the panel. Sadly I don't think its available any longer

I will admit I am very much looking forward to seeing the scene they showed. Jensen's description plus I was listening to the audio of it, left me in awe. I stalked Tumblr for a day and half hoping against hope that someone would post it, even a poor quality one. Alas, security seems to be too tight this year.

Dabb is trying to establish Michael as a terrifying all knowing, all powerful being and especially with Michael having his prime vessel. It seems counter productive to write a physical fight. The guy shouldn't even be able to get near Michael if the show was matching the tell. Dabb's script was completely lacking in this, going by what Jensen said. Because if it was powers, wouldn't' the stage directions say, Michael does XYZ. If it said "They fight" that usually means physical. Or if it was vague Jensen shouldnt' have had to call Dabb and say, "Can Michael use his powers here instead."

This doesn't solve the problem with the brothers being separated. Which is why I don't' seeing it being flashbacks to Dean with Michael in present time. He says in this interview he called Dabb. Around 2:40. That he called Dabb and said that Michael wouldnt' get his hands dirty. Dabb and Hayter both liked the idea. Dabb wrote the script with a physical fight which means it didn't occur to him have Michael use his powers which is why i felt like Jensen reminded him.

I can’t see it being Dean flashbacks due to the fact that Sam had a beard. He didn’t have a beard pre-yes. Due to this fact they can’t have Sam at the start of an episode say remember when.... and go to a MOTW case because after the flashback is done he’d need to have a beard again. Logistically, that doesn’t work. I don’t think Michael wielding his power is going to be a problem. Jensen said in an interview that the scene shown was only half of the one filmed and that there was a fight scene. Jensen called Dabb and Michael wouldn’t get his hands dirty. So it sounds like Jensen had to remind Dabb, Michael had powers. Dabb also said that Michael didn’t have Dean locked down. That he was awake and aware of what Michael was doing with his meatsuit. It sounded like the flashbacks would be the things Dean witnessed Michael doing.

Then Buck/lemming are in two different pages. Because the two interviews I’ve seen with him said Dean would be back sooner rather than later. The interview I saw with Jensen said flashbacks.

These Spoilers Suck: Bitter Speculation About SPN Spoilers

This confirms flashbacks. So no tension in the Michael story, and Im sure all the trauma addressed will Dean realizing how wrong he was to trick Sam into possession rather than actually dealing with Dean's trauma. it will be the Mary confrontation all over again. I'm sure Dean will also tell Sam to keep the leader role. Now that its something to be acknowledged it has to go to Sam. Yup, no praise for Dabb, at all. -
This confirms Michael is going to be told mainly in flashbacks.

Not exactly surprising since their favorite characters are Jack and Lucifer. Anyone but the actual leads. It soudns like more than one wayward ep too. Because he sounded like he said they were going to deal with something there which im guessing is Kaia. -

Not to mention, only 3-5 minutes long. Ultimately, it could end up being shorter than demon Dean. I saw that Jensen had at least 3 days off last week and saw a tweet from someone in the press room that he's off until friday of this week so if true, that's five days he misses from this ep.. So it seems like reduced episodes isn't resulting in increased screen time for Jensen at least. Since Michael will need a new vessel, and given their hard on for Pellegrino, I figure that is where Michael will end up. Watching that interview its like Buck/Lemming and Dabb are working on two different seasons. -

Why did I watch this? So it does seem like Michael is going to be gone after a couple of episodes and we get flashbacks to the rest. Dabb said a good chunk of the season. Dabb says Lucifer is gone for good. Buckner says if he comes back. \ Sounds like one again Jensen's story is going to be told on the back burner, and the writers prove once again that they don't talk to each other. So did they lie to Jensen or did they mislead him again. -
I've never watched Buffy so refences to The Prom episode don't really register. It could be good if Dabb avoids cliches and stereotypes. But Im not sure he can.

This is where my reservations about the idea come in as well. Because Dabb mentioned taking their clothes to the dry cleaners with blood on them. Why would Sam and Dean do that? I figured there has to be a washer and dryer at the bunker and if they can't get something clean they burn it or throw it away. Hopefully they think of these things before going for cheap gags.

I'll give Dabb praise when I feel he earns it. Because how things play out on screen can be a lot different than how someone describes it. I've loved things I thought I wouldn't. Season 9 and Baby. I've disliked things I thought I would love. (season 10). I loved Jensen's performance but over all I really dislike the way the over demon Dean story line and Mark of Cain story lines were resolved. I will give Dabb and co. credit for one thing and that is the news that the AU hunters want Michael dead. That makes sense because Michael destroyed their home and the probably killed a lot of their loved ones. They don't know Dean so its understandable their focus would be on Michael. I hope we get so see the conflict and Sam trying to convince him to save dean by actually talking about him and his past and strenghts and why its better to save Dean.

I admit this excites me. This not so much. Michael Sam is the number one thing on this show I do not want. http://www.thetvaddict.com/2018/07/22/supernatural-press-room-comic-con-season-14-spoilers/

This season sounds like last season with too many irons in the fire. I read on Tumblr they're developing stories for AltCharlie, AltBobby and Mary will have something going on (or at least it sounds like it), Rowena, Wayward stuff, Michael, Sam, Cas, and Jack, and I read they want to develop Maggie more as well (the girl from the finale). Last season was a mess and with 3 less episodes this season could be an even bigger one. -
This is why I don't believe for one second Lucifer is gone permanetly. Also Bobby will be back on a recurring basis. Buckner loves writing for Jack. This is where my reservations come from. But on the other hand, I was really skeptical about Baby and ended up loving that ep.

Lucifer is so coming back. Buckner's favorite character to write for is Jack becasue on this show a power being has never lost their powers before and had to adjust to being a regular guy. -
http://www.givememyremote.com/remote/2018/07/22/supernatural-episode-300-andrew-dabb/ Not really sure how I feel about this idea for the 300th episode. I'm not a fan of Dabbs take on Dean.

Apparently, Michael and Anael (sp?) meet in the first episode.
