  1. I would have preferred something like I had to be more than a brother, I had to be a father and a mother to keep him safe. And I couldn't do it. Dad put so much pressure on that I ended up in hell., I went to hell, they tortured me. I became thing I hated... then continue on as is. Sam and Dean lives are very much entangled but that doesn't mean they still aren't individuals or some kind of hive mind who always think and feel the same. They argue and fight. They feel things differently. They're effected by things differently. Dean was just effected by Mary's deal equally but those the ways they were not even remotely the same. Dean dismissing his own pain is character, I don't think many would deny that but his season, Dean's supposed character growth was supposed to be learning to speak up for himself and learning to value himself. But the show seems to take that away during times when its needed the most, like when Dena didn't want to work with the Brits or in this scene with Mary. If it was about Mary and Dean it should have not been about how Sam was effected, but how Dean was. But I do agre e there should have been a separate scene for Mary and Sam to talk about Sam.
  2. I think a better way would have been to have Sam say to follow him and his brother against them. Then have Dean get up and Alex tell Dean that he needs to stay off his leg or that if he risks and infection he could lose the leg. It would be a valid reason for pulling out and Dean deciding that he could save mom since he if wouldn't be worth permanent injury.
  3. He also played a very large part in starting that apocalypse because of his poor judgment in following Ruby. So I would question why I would follow a guy who once again demonstrated poor judgment. Plus, Sam didn't save the world alone. He got lucky Dean parked the car in just the right spot.
  4. It's too bad the shows that a cross over with SPN could work can never happen because of different networks. I always thought Grimm, Sleepy Hollow or The Exorcist would have been a good fit.
  5. Since the show made it a point to bring Roy and Walt back, they should have been the first ones questioning Sam based on the events of s5.
  6. Sam was also the only hunter in that room that bough into what the Men of Letter were selling. I was unnecessary because he was preaching to the choir.
  7. Why is it in a season where everyone lied to Dean and worked behind his back, its Dean once again who has prove he trusts everyone else? As for the General thing, I didn't believe Dabb when he said the Winchesters would have to step up. I figured it would be Sam, and Dean nodding along and telling Sam how great he was. So I also don't think its just going to be a one time thing. I wouldn't be surprised if its Sam storyline next season with him trying to organize and lead American hunters.
  8. Animation can take a long time. A pixar movie takes about 6-8 months to animate but can take 4 years from start to finish. According to Jim Michaels two scooby doo writers are penning the script, so if its a complete stand alone it is very possible that it was written and the guys did the dialogue for it already. So episode 16 is not out of the question. I couldn't find the tweet, so it may not have been Jim but I found the name of the writers. This is the one who had the summary of spoilers last year, and her's were pretty accurate. Misha also confirmed that Cas will be back but isn't sure how his death will transform him so we will get Misha but not sure what version of Cas.
  9. I'm thinking it will just be a repeat of the Amara storyline. He won't be good or bad but he'll be susceptible to outside influences, and those that find him first will be able to mold him in their image. We'll might get a mixture. He helped save some people in small town X, but killed others in Small town Y. I suspect it will even end similiar to s11 with Sam getting to talk him down and using his powers for good.
  10. I wonder if this was the reason that they killed off Rowena. If they had a witch around they could probably easily ask her for a spell. It's not right and its lazy but something these writers would do. It does almost seem like a reset to season 1. Except instead of find Dad, its find Mom. Instead of Sam wanting revenge for Jessica, Dean will want revenge for Cas. In terms of Cas, I do think he'll be back but I hope we get follow up on Dean's grief at losing Cas. (Hopefully something similiar to s2 Dean). I hope they don't cheat with a 4 months later kind of thing. I want to see the finale pick up where this left off. I hope this is why they filmed some s13 stuff, for the sake of continuity. That's why I gave up on the The Flash too. I don't think these writers are strong enough to have multiple Sam and Deans. But that being said, I wouldn't mind a few self contained one off episodes of Sam and Dean exploring a different reality. Kind of an episode like The French Mistake. We see a different universe but it doesn't impact the original one. I always thought a cool episode would have been a world where John died instead of Mary.
  11. Maybe if Dean's confrontation with Mary was actually about Dean's traumas and not just Sam's then I might agree with this. Since all Dean did was talk about Sam, I'd rather they swapped and Dean lead the raid.
  12. He was. He mentioned it at the start of The Memory Remains. Sam says lets find him. Dean says that he's been trying. The GPS on his phone is off, and there was no reports of anyone getting arrested or turning up dead. So he was doing more than just phoning Cas.
  13. He was also checking morgues and jails to see if Cas turned up. He spent more time trying to find Cas then he did helping Sam do research. Every opening Dean was leaving voicemails because he was worried. I've never been a fan of Dean thinking his life is inferior to Sam's so if he doesn't make a deal, Im okay with that. I know that Dean will take a bullet for Cas. Him not eating one for Cas, doesn't mean that he just sees Cas as just a friend or that he doesn't consider Cas a brother. We saw him stay longer in purgatory because he refused to leave without Cas and we also him risk getting trapped in Earth 2.0. His grief was very real in that last scene. His look to the sky, IMO, was him asking Chuck to bring Cas back. Then he didn't even follow Sam into the house. He seemed froze with grief. IMO, selling your soul isn't the only way to prove you love (I'm talking familial love) someone.
  14. https://bloodstained-porcelain-doll.tumblr.com/post/160834770815/season-13 I saw this listed on Tumblr. Not sure how accurate it is but it lists Jensen, Jared, Misha and Mark P as regulars for next season. They also show the guy playing Jack. I wonder if it wasn't Cas that was killled but the bizzaro world Cas came thought the portal and the real Cas is trapped with Mary and Lucifer.
  15. Another scene I really liked Jensen in was just after they get to Jody's and Dean is sitting in the chair and Alex is tending to his leg. The way Dean was chewing on his fingernails and glancing at Mary, he looked all of four years old. Jensen never ceases to amaze me with that ability to go from a hardened warrior to so open and vunerable. Jodi's little reassuring shoulder touch, and her trying to comfort him. Just added to the overall feeling. This is what I don't understand their approach with Mary. Jodi doing something motherly, doesn't define her as just a mom. We've seen Jodi do motherly things, and be badass at the same time. It doesn't define her as Just a mom. It's not like Jodi didn't face a similar situation. Claire and Alex were virtual strangers to her when she took them in. Yet she made the effort.
  16. This season Dean not only lost Crowley, Cas and Mary but he also lost a lot of his dignity and self-respect because he doesn't seem to value anything he brings to the table even after 12 years. This is why I just don't buy that there was any kind of character growth for Dean this season. If anything he'll be worse next season since he'll blame himself for for the loses. As for the loses, I'm sure we'll get much more focus on Sam losing Mary and Cas again while Dean will get told to suck it up and the excuse will be he's doing it for Sam. I don't deny its in character but I'm tired of the show using it as an excuse to push aside and ignore Dean's trauma's. It's also not character growth if Dean doesn't realize its okay to think of himself in those moments. It's not selfish. Sam sure has no problem making things all about him. (See the lame, follow me speech).
  17. It also showed that Dean could have gone on the raid despite his bum leg. It was just a lame excuse to give Sam the big moment.
  18. I get this episode was supposed to wrap up the BMoL's storyline but are we really supposed to believe their entire organization consists of Hess, Mick, Ketch, Toni and a handful of red-shirts? If they're code is so strong why wouldn't the rest of them come across to America to continue to continue to try and eliminate other hunters?
  19. Cas could have said, this is a world where you and Dean were never born. I thought the you was clearly on Sam. The camera certainly focused on Sam.
  20. I don't know if anyone has seen the movie Hairspray but Dabb reminds me so much of Velma Von Tussle who threatened the camera man if they didn't keep focus on her daughter, Amber and give her the most screen time despite there being multiple other dancers in the cast. Dabb seems to think Sam is the only character worth giving screen time time. In the first ep alone, Sam comes up with all the ideas, of course finds the spell in the lore books, Sam also comes up with the solution to the Virgin problem. When it came time to find the clue that would lead them to Cas and Kelly was anyone surprised it was Sam who found it. I did not like the brains/brawn distinction either. This season Sam is both. It wouldnt' surprise me if in the orginal version of the script it was Sam using the grenade launcher. So I don't think Cas meant both when Singer made sure the camera was focused on Sam. If he meant both he would have framed both. Obviously when Dabb talked about them being generals he meant just Sam. The only thing left for Sam to do is to rip open his shirt, and reveal the big red S and fly.
  21. Yeah its in character but that doesn't make it any less disappointing. We are 13 years in, its time to let Dean think of himself for once.
  22. But it was talking about 30 plus years of how Sam suffered, with barely a mention of Dean of how Dean also suffered because of it. I wanted Dean to talk about his childhood, (with details), and how he felt he had to selll his soul because of the pressure John put on him. Nothing about Dean's childhood was really addressed. It was brought up and dropped. The excuse, it's Dean doesn't work. For me true character growth would be him acknowledging that he did the best he could, but he still sees himself as a failure, So I disagree Dean's comfortable in his own skin because of this.
  23. Then he said he didn't do a good job because and went into how hard things were for Sam. So IMO, that scene was all about Sam.
  24. Im guessing Jack in going to resurrect his Poppa Cas.
  25. Yup, and despite Jensen being so fantastic in that scene it stopped me from really enjoying it because it wasn't about Dean. It was about Sam
