  1. If Sam had trusted his brother and not gone after Benny for not other reason then jealousy then none of it would have been necessary. What does it say about Sam that Dean had that pre-planned, that Dean knew Sam was going to try something. The show called Dean out that that plenty, while ignoring everything Sam did. If Sam had stopped for five minutes, might have realized that it really couldn't have been a life or death emergency because if it was and your life was on the line would you call: 1. 911 2. Your husband who is a marine and probably nearby 3. Text the guy you haven't seen in months, have no idea if he has the same phone number, have no idea how far away he is, and have no idea if he;'ll respond.
  2. Jim Beaver was actually offered regular status. He turned it down because he said he did not want to uproot his daughter and move her to Vancouver during filming. We lost the wrong Mark.
  3. Mark strikes me as someone who will say what's on his mind. So if he's being salty, I tend to lean toward what he says being the truth. He's not saying Crowley's dead. He's saying goodbye. If it is some ruse, its pretty dickish of the show. Because some of the more casual fans may not stick around to see for the punchline, all they're doing is costing themselves viewers. We'll never know the whole story, but with Mary and Lucifer being trapped in the alt world, I tend to think they'll play a bigger role. So more then likely, they couldn't afford 6 full time regulars, so Mark S was cut for budgetary reasons. If Crowley had sealed Lucifer away for good, it would have been one thing but since it didn't work it was for nothing. I'm going to miss his scenes with Dean.
  4. Jared and Jensen's reaction to Jared spilling about Misha seemed like an "oops, should not have said that moment." It seemed like they weren't supposed to and they are the leads, so I doubt they'd let SE Hinton announce it like that if Crowley was really gone.
  5. I just put it down to CW cream. Because without it Sam should have four huge scars across his face after Shadow.
  6. I question whether they would have actually shot her. It's easy to say it but to actually execute someone in cold blood isn't easy. It reminds me of that scene in Croatoan where Dean had Duane tied up. He believed Duane had been infected and he even locked Sam in a room and was planning on shooting him. Then when he had the gun on him, you could Dean wresting with the idea of shooting a kid and questioning whether he was infected. If Dean did take Toni out back, I can see it going either way. I would believe it in character if he did it, but I could also see Toni pulling the "i have a son card" and Dean telling her to take a one way flight to England.
  7. The other problem with Sam's speech was that it wasn't really necessary. He didn't have to try and de-brainwash any of the other hunters because none of them fell for the BMOLs. I really don't think it was necessary for him to go into depth because I really doubt any of the hunters cared about why Sam was wrong. Plus, the life of every hunter in that room was at stake. Convincing them should have been as easy. All that was really needed was something like, I was wrong to fall for what they were selling, but since we're all in danger I think we can agree we need to get them before they get us. So, please give me the benefit out of the doubt and lets send those SOB's packing.
  8. I love Benny but with this current crop of writers, I'd rather he stayed gone. I wouldn't trust them not to destroy the character.
  9. On the Head of the Pin was one of my favorite episodes. I think it was also a fantastic performance by Jensen. My heart just broke for Dean when Alistair told him about the seal. Watching Dean, I can pinpoint the exact moment he just breaks. I also liked Citizen Fang too.
  10. Understandable, but disappointing from a fan standpoint since I like Jensen's style. If the writers follow the same rotation, and Perez writes episode 4, and doesn't usually bother writing Dean into his eps, then it would be easy for him to prep during that and direct episode 5. I wish Misha would direct again. I thought he did a fantastic job with Mother's Little Helper
  11. The show repeats storylines all the time. (Die, Lucifer Die) Mary being in the AU world is no different than Dean being in purgatory. I really don't think that Jack won't just be a male Amara, complete with some kind of bond with Sam.
  12. I think we may get both. Trying to put my mindset as to how the show runners think, I think AU Cas came out of that portal. It doesn't matter if its plausible or not just if the writers want it). Since the Nephilm is all powerful he can probably open and close other realms at will. So I'm guessing he was born, went into AUworld and sent AU Cas out as his protector. Lucifer killed him, (mostly for angst over the summer hiatus) but I'm sure Jack will resurrect him before the opening credits. Will the boys know its real or fake Cas. Not sure, depends on how what Dabb wants. If he wants to keep Dean in a more passive role, and make Sam the leader, I'd say yes, they will know right off. Then the show will use grief over Cas to achieve just that scenario. If Dabb wants to be "clever" he won't say right way, and use it as a "gotcha" moment in the cliff hanger. That it completely undermines the boys friendship with Cas, won't matter. Then either at mid-season the AU world will open somehow, releasing Real Cas, Mary and Lucifer. The 2nd half will deal with Mary and her experience in the AU world, and the brothers trying to end Lucifer and stop Jack from reuniting with his father, because watching that multiple seasons already isn't enough.
  13. What I don't want to see is Cas be resurrected 5 minutes into the opening of the premier and then everything goes along fine and then in the mid-season finale we find it it was AU Cas all along. That would just make the brothers look like idiots that they couldn't tell the difference. But given the writers and their lack of imagination, I can easily see that happening.
  14. I have to say that if ep 22 was titled Who We are and and that is supposed to showcase who Sam and Dean are, given their roles in the episode with Sam the hunter and Dean the caretaker, it doesn't inspire confidence on getting badass Dean back
  15. As much as I love Cas, I'd rather he stay dead if we don't get our Cas back. I've already watched the brothers get to know him, I don't need to see it again. I would bet money on this, and also AltCas telling Dean that he and Sam share a more profound bond.
  16. It will also be more than the same scene rehashed over and over.
  17. In the special, they aired before the start of s10 Kripke talked a lot about Faith being the turning point and where he realized that the audience was responding to the chemistry between Jared and Jensen and Kripke said he had some good people around him who encouraged him to focus on that. Supernatural was never developed as being about two brothers and their realtionship. Kripke wanted to write a show about urban legends. According the the article it went from A Scooby Gang, to a reporter, and according to Kripke when he was pitching the show, they didn't like the reporter idea and he literally said on the spot, two guys a car, urban legends and they're brothers. Kripke threw it out there as a last minute imporvisation to get his show picked up. On the commentary for The Pilot, Kripke even says, when we first see Sam, There is our hero. Sam was the one the show revolved around, which is why Sam's actor was listed first in the credits. If they were meant to be equal right from the start then why not credit both equally. It sounds to me that what Kripke was originally planning is a show about Sam, with the brother tagging along. http://variety.com/2014/tv/spotlight/supernatural-oral-history-200-episodes-ackles-padalecki-kripke-1201352537/
  18. But Dabb doesn't want to tell the same stories over and over. I don't think that means what he thinks it means.
  19. I agree with this. Dean's always had faith in Sam's hunting abilities. Going back to The Benders. When Dean was forced to chose who to be hunted, the guy or the girl, he picked the guy. I always felt it was because he felt Sam had a better chance at survival then Kathleen did.
  20. I could buy this. As much as I like Ketch, watching Dean punch him was very satisfying.
  21. He held his own against Ketch and he drove all the way to Jody's. He then he helped Mary and Sam research. He also wasn't sitting in the car when they were calling hunters. He was walking around. We saw him walking around his leg plenty. He also got Mary and Toni back to the bunker by himself. The leg couldn't have been that bad. The reason he didn't go on The Raid was to save his mom. Sam and Dean have separated on dangerous hunts before. In Good God Y'all. Sam was out battling demons, Dean turned back to save the civilians. So, yes Dean would let Sam go on that raid and stay back to save their mom. Plus, Mary is very resourceful. What if Toni got loose or Mary did before Dean got back. IMO, Dean wouldn't leave Jodi at risk. Plus, he knew they needed Toni. Dean probably felt it was urgent. If they lost Toni, he lost the one chance he had.
  22. Dean had a nasty gash not a broken leg. He could have gone on that raid.
  23. Thinking back to the Inside the Episode preview, when Dabb and Singer said it teased something we'd see next year, most guessed that meant Claire. I wonder if it was actually Dean's cartoon voice teasing the cartoon ep. Although, I think he did Yogi rather than Scooby,
  24. I think I didn't get my point across. I never meant that Mary's deal made Dean those things just that they affected how he perceived himself. Dean's self image was molded as much by the effects of Mary's deal as Sam's. Its the same way Demon Blood didn't actually make Sam an abomination. I very much disagree Sam did have a choice in what he was. It's like a child of a serial killer. They might be tainted with those genes but that doesn't mean that person will automatically grow up to be one.
  25. But Dean was turned into a blunt little instrument and a solider by John and tasked with might having to kill his brother who he spent his whole left protecting. Dean spent his life thinking his he was worthless. Looking into the mirror and hating what he sees. Not to mention all the references to Dean thinking he was good for nothing but slitting throats. Just because Dean wasn't physically effected didn't mean that Mary's deal didn't impact how Dean thought about himself and how he felt others see him. Yes, Sam got a bum Dean and being infected with demon blood affected the way he felt about himself and how others might see him, but the demon blood didn't take away his ability to make choices for himself. The demon blood colored his judgment, but it didn't make him do things. It didn't automatically make him evil. That's why I felt he Sam showed mercy and didn't kill Jake. Despite others thinking he was an abomination doesn't actually mean he was one. So I do think they were equally effected, just in different ways. We can agree to disagree.
