The Spencers: Foiling Plans for World Domination Since the 80s
LeftPhalange replied to OnceSane's topic in General Hospital
Ron, Jelly, and Frank suck. The end. -
And Liez should be concerned that the rapist serial killer boyfriend she lets her disturbed son receive therapy from has once again been accused of murder and LOCKED A MAN IN A MOTHERFUCKING DOG CAGE TWO WEEKS AGO.
-
Was Freako accused of murdering someone while he was with Nina? He was accused of killing Carly when she went missing and now he's accused of killing Tom but Liez is cuddling with him like everything is fine.

Annual Year-End Best and Worst of GH: What Rocked? What Stunk?

Maybe back then she was a little less hypocritical and showed concern for her daughter? She's screaming about Justice For Duke, meanwhile he's no better than Julian and was about to have Jordan killed. She's obsessed with finding something incriminating against Valentin, meanwhile Dr. O walks around town with no worries. -

Whatever uneasyness she may have initially felt is gone now since she had no problem with him locking a man in a cage. She's even willing to believe he didn't murder said man. -

I see Gabi's behavior with JJ not so much as lying/being judgmental/hypocritical/looking for an escape route, and more about her not being fully aware of and/or wanting to admit that she had feelings for Chad. She was in a committed relationship with JJ so she intentionally or not ignored her developing feelings for him. Then she finds out JJ cheated and she starts to feel less bad about emotionally connecting with another man. Chad admits he has feelings for her as well, as since she's now single, they stop fighting it and decide to see where things go, only for Failure to pop back up. When she decided to give JJ another chance I don't think she was settling, I think she assumed Chad would go back to his wife so she figured why not see if she and JJ can fix things since she still has feelings for him. Almost getting involved with Chad was a mistake, but maybe her relationship with JJ can be salvaged. Then, not only does she find out JJ is keeping secrets from her again, she finds out he screwed a coworker - his partner no less. So at this point JJ has: cheated on another woman, behaved so irresponsibly that he ends up having drunken sex with a woman and can't even remember who she is, and lied about all of it while keeping ANOTHER secret. Gabi can't trust him, JJ has issues, and she has feelings for another man. There's zero reasons why she should continue this relationship right now. The problem with this story is it's sloppy written and rushed (as usual) so numerous important beats are missed, and JJ cheating offscreen was just a quick way to cause problems with him and Gabi so they could do a Gabi/Chad/Failure triangle. As a result, it looks like Gabi is flip flopping between men since her budding relationship with Chad hasn't been given enough time to develop on its own. I think Chad/Gabi/JJ (more so the latter two) are being thrown under the bus thanks to the writing. Regarding Lani, why would she have sex with a heavily drunk man who she knows is in a relationship? Was she sober? If so, why is she having sex with a man who is so drunk he can't even remember having sex with her? JJ is responsible for his actions, but Lani comes off as shady, desperate, and a bit cuckoo. -
Valentin already has all of the Cassadine assets, why would he need Nina's money?

This damn kid should've never existed in the first place. If you want to talk about trolling the fanbases, look no further. -

I don't really care what Gabi's motivations are for dumping JJ, he's become blah to me and I wish he would leave and take Lani with him. -
^^^So I Jelly are pulling more retcons out of their asses. I don't believe for a second that they planned on doing this when they had Tom and Alexis meet the first time.
-
Alexis and Tom ended up at the same bar weeks before Tom was murdered. Even in Port Charles time it had it have happened days before Freako locked him in a cage.

Even if you ignore Failure screwing EJ, Chad should still remember being beaten into a coma and accused of being a serial killer, then almost being burned alive, thanks to Failure's jealous fiance Ben. -

I mean, I think Lucky has an obligation to Cam as well since he raised him since birth even though he knew he wasn't his biologically. DNAJ is more complicated since the writers are now trying to rewrite history. Lucky was always his father but since the Jakeson mess were supposed to believe Jason is sharing custody with Liz, even though Lucky never gave up his rights. But, I'd still probably say he has an obligation to DNAJ. The key thing in all of this is that Lucky has an obligation to the kids, not Liz. He can take care of his kids without being Liz's friend or lover or psychotherapist. I don't necessarily disagree with you about Liz getting less shit if the roles were reversed and she abandoned Cam/Aiden/DNAJ. I feel like sometimes women on soaps gets more *applause* for raising kids their husband/boyfriend had with other women. -

I thought Helena killed Tom? He did die offscreen, which is sorta like dying during a commercial break. -
I was thinking she might be more successful if she were sober.

If Nina and Valentin are going to be a thing the writers need to stop having Nina learn SHOCKING tidbits about him, like that he didn't tell her about Charlotte or that he carries a gun. She's not some *good girl* that he needs to hide his dirty dealings from and she already knows he's a murdering Cassadine so there's no reason for her to be surprised by anything he does. Also, it would be great if she stopped acting like Valentin is the first man she's ever been with. Hey idiot Julian, if you don't want your daughter getting hurt maybe you shouldn't tell this Super Mysterious and Shady Rudge Ridge Sludge guy that she and Jason are suspicious of him. So Liez doesn't have any problems with her rapist serial killer boyfriend locking a man in a cage? OK. Well, if he locks her ass up in a cage I hope she isn't surprised. Alexis, you ran over Julian while drunk and failed to kill him, Ava, or Kiki. Maybe you should chill with the drinking for a minute. Also, please don't tell we're going to have to deal with Alexis thinking she killed Tom.
-
Jax let Alexis blackmail him into keeping quiet about her drinking and he left town without making sure she got help, so I'm not sure how him being sweet and understanding was all that helpful. I don't think Sam is being judgmental at all. I think she's frustrated because Alexis is constantly lying and won't fully acknowledge that she has a problem. Even the nicest person in the world would eventually get fed up with dealing with her. Also, lets not forget that Alexis could've burned down her house with Sam's son inside because she was passed out from drinking while her cookies were burning. Alexis isn't a child and she doesn't need to be coddled. She needs to be told she's fucking up and making a fool of herself.

I'm confused because you didn't mention Freako, Ava, Kiki, Julian, Nina, Valentin, Tree, Sonny, or Lulu's baby rabies. How would they be involved in this story?

Aww aren't the (attempted) murderer and her accomplice so precious? I vomited during their scenes. Is Failure supposed to be unstable right now? I mean, I've always thought she was crazy, but I don't think the writers wanted me to feel that way. Now it seems like they're actively making her cuckoo. I'm fine with Jade having a miscarriage since she should've never been pregnant in the first place, but having it happen on new years and RIGHT AFTER she shares a nice moment with Joey and his family seems a bit cruel. -

If this whole "Lucky is a deadbeat dad" situation is a thing that we're going to go with, can we just say that he and Liez are both shit parents and that Audrey is really the one raising those kids? Because that's what's happening. There's zero reasons why Lucky can't parents his kids offscreen in NYC. I don't believe for a second that Laura and Lulu wouldn't be helping out whenever needed or that Jason wouldn't have set up a bank account for DNAJ or that Nik wouldn't have helped her out. This show goes out of its way to make Lucky look like shit while Liez is the struggling single mother. -
Freako is DNAJ and the other two's father now. Please don't deny him his paternal rights. I'm actually find with Maxie having very little involvement with Georgie. However, if the show were to somehow manage to survive long enough for her to be SORASed, it needs to be acknowledged that Ellie is her mother in every way that matters and Maxie doesn't get to complain about it because this is the life she wanted.

I'm sure fans getting upset about their favorite pairings going through drama would be much less of a problem if the shows as a whole weren't crap. Specifically with GH, some of the audience is put in a position where if they find something they like they latch onto it because there's nothing else for them to be interested in. Also, the drama the writers come up with for these pairings is often terrible. See Dante/Lulu last year for example. As for killing off characters, if you were a fan of Morgan or Sabrina, for example, why wouldn't you be upset with them being killed offed? Their deaths were sloppy and they didn't lead to any good story. Death shouldn't be used as a plot point. All of this is to say, if you write a good show, I think the audience will generally be more tolerant of characters/pairings they like going through some shit.
