  1. I think there would be many directions this show could go. As indeed is saying Jack could continue the fight from within. Maybe he would have to take on his inner twin soul, first. Madison could be an ally. The question is also how are the QR gonna recover from that. They must have lost a lot of potential members who can't return because their awakening symbols were burned. Jack could still try to win back Amy, but that would be a stretch. And there are still those radio operator guys and the soul machine. That itself could be a plot worth exploring.
  2. Why is it only a six episodes season? That's odd, isn't it.
  3. What were Quid Reverti actually doing in that building? Whose corpse was that? I have to say that for a secret society that has endured for centuries they are an easy games for intruders, since neither Madison nor Jack encountered any problems when they were trying to enter the rooms in the basement. The end with Jack and the sheperd was intruiging. I bet that Jack won't and can't accept that ... but somehow he'll need to experience it. I liked the end of the Marcus Fox storyline. That was kind of fitting. On top of that I am glad that we won't see any more of it in the next season. Though, sadly there won't be probably a next season since the ratings for the first season were very low.
  4. I did find this episode boring. The woman waiting for her man during the storm. Insane. Hopefully this episode was one of a kind that won't be used as a model for the next episodes.
  5. What's with those people in Pakistan who have to speak these phoney accents? It makes them sound like foreigners in their own country. The disturbing thing is though that they are actually speaking english with an indian - rather poetic - accent. EDIT: and btw, I am catching myself waiting for the Brody resurrection, maybe as a Pashtu warlord or so.
  6. Yeah, I was kind of expecting him turning into this season's villain. But was his reaction credible? (I don't think so.) Anyway, I enjoyed the atmosphere in today's episode. There was the moment when I realized that I really missed this show. And not because of the story! It's the tune and sentiment of this shows which deals with current issues. Best Scene: The bathroom-scene at the end. It came from nowhere, so unpected and yet it fitted.
  7. Wow, somebody paid attention there. That would be an explanation. Maybe Gary was Jack's second soul?
  8. In Bruges he was definitely okay. I still showder when I think of him as Alexander or Sonny, in the Phone Booth or alongside Al Pacino. Those were blueprints for terrible, terrible acting.
  9. I don't get it, why did Gary jump? A suicide note from someone, who jumps off the top of a building, saying that there is a secret society,,,, I mean, did Gary really think that through? Apparently not. Agree that there is so much inconsistency. Still I am going to see the next episode and I am fully aware that almost non of my questions will be answered. EDIT: I reckon that Madison's smile was meant to look evil.
  10. That was so bad it made the original NCIS look good.
  11. The first season was a brilliant masterpiece... from now on things can just get worse. But, Colin bloody Farrell... when was the last time he did something of significance? I am not too optimistic about this. But then again who would have thought that harrelson and mcconaughey would pull of a show like that.
  12. I liked that twist actually that they knew who he is. What didn't make sense was the kidnapping itself. If they knew that he is an FBI-agent and not a journalist, there would be no point in picking him up from the airport and kidnapping him. It would have been much easier for them to kill him instantly. What do they possibly gain from the kidnapping?
  13. Storyline is pesky at times. Even Sean is too edgy for my taste. I want this show to work, but I can hardly see prospects for a second season. This has "just one season" written all over it
  14. Next season should be more about Sonia and Marco. I think they kind of went missing this season as there were too many sidestories which were just dragged endlessly. Eleanor, Galvan, Robles, the reporters, the CIA, the DEA, the conspiracy theory, I hope we won't see any more of them, if next season comes.
  15. And wasn't he actually an ivy league drop out in the books?
  16. That would be great! Eph is dead freight. Him being dropped would give the show a new boost. Maybe Abe and Fet could join Gus and the vampire squad. They should start a proper guerilla hunt. But I gues we'll see more of Eph and Zack, Zack and Eph, Epha and Zack, Eph and Kelly (he still doesn't know that she turned).
  17. They have certainly wrapped up some loose ends. Happy that the stalker doesn't get any more screentime. The whole thing with Ray and his girlish ex is actually dispensable. Kate was annoying me for the last three episodes. Good riddance! Mick winning the money that way appeared a bit over the top. Next season has to be about what is Ray actually loving? As of now you could say that he is not good at beeing a husband, a father, a masher. He is not good in his job in that sense that he doesn't always do as told and that he is willing to risk his clients' interesests in order to get it his way. Who sets the rules? He himself, but how and why? Cookie and the guy who ended up in the trunk were his clients! That won't bode well for his business.
  18. I do like the new character which is the hacker. She didn't feature in the books as far as I remember. Until now vampire hunting seemed to be more of a guy thing because the guys are killing the vampires whilst the women still try to take care of (school) children and their elderly mothers. The hacker is for once a proactive female character. I hope we'll see more of her and she remains a regular. I find Eph as dislikable as in the books. He acts at times like a selfish, petulant kid. (Maybe it's because of Zack and Kelly, but they didn't explain it properly in the books. Fet got some nice lines, he seems to be kind of sharper. My hope is that they're going to avoid the whole Kelly-Eph-Master-love/hate triangle. The master turning in to some kind of Macchiavelli type of monster was a bad move by the authors of the books. But they're probably gonna show it and make it a major part of the second or third season. That will be the moment my patience will be tested. EDIT: And what was the point of the astronaut? I never got that? Was she controlled by the master or did was she just hearing voices? Anyway I hope the astronaut storyline is too expensive for the production company of the show.
