  1. That could work but I would think that would only work while he's in the Library. Also I swear "the plumber" last season cut the Library off from magic as well. At least he was walking through the Library while everyone in it was freaking out.
  2. The fairies basically just showed up in force at the end once magic was turned off. As for Penny I'm not sure but what I think is that magical creatures are still the same, and Penny's ability to travel is an actual biological trait. I'm making that assumption because even last year when he could not do any real magic because of his hands he still had the natural ability to travel. I don't know, call it a fan wank, but it works for me. haha I loved the episode. I had binged the first 2 season the week before so I would remember everything. It reminded me that I really enjoy this show. I read the book after watching the show and I HATED IT SO MUCH!!! It was a weird experience to love a show but hate the book. I didn't read any of the others books after that.
  3. No the first accuser is not a Scientologist though he claims to have proof that at the time this was supposed to have happened he was recovering from back surgery and physically incapable of doing what she alleges. The others I don't know. I know he is claim that Scientology is fair gaming him. I would not be surprised if they took the opportunity to attack him after the first woman came forward, but I don't know. There don't appear to be any actual police reports filed at this point but they could be coming. Mostly I don't know. I'm waiting for more information to become available and public before I pass judgement.
  4. There is a similar episode of Dr. Quinn where a student that gets hit by the teacher all the time I tyhink either kills her or at least beats her up really badly. The student is played by noted show killer Eric Balfor.
  5. Everything I have heard about Jason Beghe has had to do with his anger issues nothing on sexual harassment. I can absolutely see that being an issue for him. Even in his post Scientology video he seems angry (not that I blame him). I don't think having explosive anger issues at work is acceptable, but I don't tend to think of it as being as bad as sexual harassment either. If he is going through anger management therapy I hope it helps him find peace. As for Paul Haggis my policy with pretty much everyone that has been accused is to wait and see. I always say ok this is today let's see what tomorrow brings. In almost every case it's been followed by multiple people coming out to back up the accuser and share their own stories about the same person. So far I have seen no one else coming after Paul and it doesn't line up with what many other women have said about him. So right now I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to Paul. Now if tomorrow there is a story with 3 other women I might rethink that.
  6. I think outside of Outlander book 4 is my favorite. Books 5 and 6 I loved but I remember thinking nothing really happened in them. I could easily see making those books one season. Books 7 and 8 are great and I really can’t wait for the 9th book to come out.
  7. Yeah I still enjoy watching The Walking Dead but every time Alanna is on the screen I say out loud "Alanna call you father. He misses you." Jenna is going to be on Fear the Walking Dead, which I don't watch. But hey maybe we'll get to watch her get eaten. I saw that story today. Good for her!
  8. I let out a very loud squee when he did that. It was maybe my favorite part of the episode.
  9. That was seriously a pleasure to listen to. 100% agree.
  10. Omg that was so great. I loved Javier’s reactions the whole episode! I laughed so much. And Letty looked great.
  11. This episode was great! I watched it on my lunch break and now my makeup is all a mess lol. Hopefully people at work won't notice. Chantal and Ramina were so touching. I cannot image what that would be like. There is going to be a need for some serious therapy to work out the lifetime of issues between them. I was very pleased at how Ramina took responsibility for her mistakes in the church first and wants to be there with her family now. I hope others open their eyes as well. I felt bad for Mary and I really hope her son opens his eyes. She gave up her first child to give him a better life and then it's thrown out there as weapon against her. I love Aaron and if you watch his youTube videos he often can't help but cry when he discusses personal things. He's just a big ole softy. I love that about him. Based off of what I understand from YouTube videos of former SO members. It really depends on the department you are in. The physical labor is actually only small part of it. There is sales where it's all about getting people signed up and sold. There is ethics where they do the sec checking. There is a bunch of stuff around getting people up the bridge and on the OT levels. Making sure people have done what they need to move forward, or if they aren't on course why? and what do we need to do to get them back. Planning and organizing of events. The crazy amount of mailing that goes out. Tons of office work. Plus there is a ton of redundancies so each person has like 6 bosses breathing down your neck. And it is always about your statistics. Stats must improve every week or you will get in trouble. They do not look at stats from an annual basis that would make sense, but only week to week. That is why many SO members can't get off for holidays because their stats are inevitably down that time of year.
  12. I buy every single thing Aaron does in this episode. At the end of the day Aaron Echols is a psychopath, and psychopaths can be very charming. Until, you know, they become terrifying.
  13. I'm sitting here watching the episode and everyone is like let's kill Lena after there is no investigation into a possible side effect to the lead bomb. Literally nothing definitive at all but clearly she's evil for not letting us all become the slaves of an alien race? Like really? Your kids would not be better off at the hands of the Daxsimites. Let's at least try to solve the problem before sending out a lynch mob. Lena going after Edge made no sense at all. It doesn't clear her name or get her anything back. Killing him is only going to convince more people she's evil. The Alex/ Maggie stuff was really well done. It's sad but a lot of relationships end that way. At least they ended it before one of them ended up resenting the other for making them lead a life they didn't want. I'm going to be pissed if Maggie shows up a year or two later in a new relationship with a kid.
  14. Well this one popped up on MSN just now so progress. https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/leah-remini-interviewed-women-who-say-danny-masterson-raped-them/ar-AAupyK2?li=BBnb2gh
  15. Well it was shelved until they decided to whether or not to file charges so hopefully that could get resolved soon. Yesterday's Huffpo piece on the delay is gaining traction and will hopefully lead to a decision one way or another. If they choose not to press charges they absolutely must release the episode. If they do press charges my guess is they won't until after a trial has finished because it could maybe give Masterson an avenue for appeal. I'm still banging away on Netflix though. Yesterday I read an article about how good it was of Netflix to prioritize what's right over a hit show (meaning of course HOC). I responded to the article with why does Danny Masterson still have a job then? No response.
  16. I've been discussing over on the Supporters of Leah Remini FB page why Netflix shut down HOC in less than a day because of the Kevin Spacey allegation, but hasn't so much as uttered a peep about Danny Masterson's three rape allegations. I realize this is because Kevin Spacey is a major star and all over the news but there has to be a way to make Netflix at least publicly address the situation.
  17. Jeff, thank you so much for telling them how great American Vandal is! It's honestly so well done and straight up hilarious while never actually playing it like a joke. I really need to know what Sara thinks of the show because I think she'll love it. I have never watched Better Things but I was getting all chocked up during the Canon presentation. I'm a sucker for mother daughter moments. Dave so sorry for you lose. That just really sucks.
  18. That depends on the state. Education guidelines vary widely state to state.
  19. I mean I didn't want to say it but... Though I think part of it may also be that she is a reality TV personality and we are kind of conditioned to think they will say anything for fame. (I am in NO WAY saying that about Mimi. I completely believe her.) Look Mimi isn't a perfect person, none of us are. But if we can believe the horrors of last week's show despite the fact that both of those two had histories of drug abuse (again I'm not blaming them I probably would too). Why can't we believe Mimi despite the fact that she has a sex tape? Her mother left her life at 13 years old because she was taught to believe that Mimi was not what was important. She had to pull herself up by herself. Yes she was a kid and yes it may be hard for you to believe a kid can do it but it actually happens a lot more than you would think. Some people are just survivors and we should be applauding her not helping others tear her down just because you don't know every single detail.
  20. I was discussing this situation and discussion with my brother today and he said "you know that happened with my friend J right?" When my brother was in high school his friend J at 16 had a falling out with his parents over his unwillingness to submit to the idea of arranged marriage and other overly American behaviors (they were first generation Indian immigrants) and he spent a year or so couch surfing. Remembering back he would stay with us for a few days at a time and then he would "go home" for a while then be back a few days later. He ate dinner with us a lot even if he wasn't staying the night. Apparently when he was "going home" he just went to another of his friends houses; some had parents that were not very attentive. My parents knew he and his parents didn't get along so well so they never said no but apparently never suspected J was homeless. He had a job, kept his grades, and no one else ever knew. So I mean Mimi's story makes sense to me.
  21. That would only be if she is a DECLARED SP. She wasn't declared she just wasn't allowed to stay on SO property without joining the SO. Yes ok this gives us more context. I never really questioned her story just figured they didn't get into the details all that much. And NO ONE in her circle would ever have suggested CPS be called or anything like that. Reporting a Scientologist to the authorities is a High Crime after all.
  22. So glad this show is back. Letty and Javier are fire in every scene they are in together. JDB is such a good actor I'm always amazed. I just rewatched last season and in those quiet emotional moments with his family he has this sad stillness which is just so good and honest. He had it again tonight with Silk and then with Letty on the beach at the end. So so good.
  23. Very true in some cases they diagnose them too soon because they just can't deal. I had a parent in my office the other day saying the teacher said the student might be dyslexic in kindergarten. That's way too soon to make that determination. But I was having Theo from the Cosby Show flashbacks through all of Jackson's scenes.
  24. This is Leah's acceptance speech for the Creative Arts Emmy's. According to the people who were there she was the only one they didn't play off the stage. https://www.emmys.com/video/2017-creative-arts-emmys-informational-series-or-special
