Does the Survivor contract really not have a clause that unwanted touching isn't allowed and grounds for ejection? In all the bajillion pages of their contracts?!?

If Dan manhandles Karishma after everything that went on last week, I could see her reporting him to the producers and asking for him to be removed. It would also explain why we heard earlier about Karishma's standards of modesty and her faith - both things we haven't heard about since.
-
But isn't there a spoiler that someone is removed?

And he thinks that he is such "a nice guy" that if you have problem with it, it must be your problem. If you say "no" it must be because you misunderstood what benign intentions he had. If doesn't matter if he is trying to flirt (I don't think that's the case), or getting sexually aroused himself (ick), or if he just likes putting his meaty paws on young pretty women (I think that's more the case), no means no, no matter how nice a guy you think you are. It's always the young, thin women.
-
Because Dan seems clueless and ineducable about these matters, I speculate that next episode, we see him back to his usual Feely Dan ways, sleeping at night with his hands all over one of the women, and the producers eject him for not heeding their warning to cut it out.

The one clip of him moving hair off Kellee's face -- that action might not seem sexual to some, but it was certainly intimate. And this with a woman who had repeatedly told him she didn't want him to touch her.
-
If an employee makes a complaint at work, it's not up to that employee to decide whether the offender should be fired or not. If the producers did indeed not remove Dan because Kellee or any contestant didn't explicitly request his removal -- an unfair burden IMO and a terrible precedent to set -- that's a pretty egregious abdication of their responsibility.

I can't believe I am rage posting on this forum.

I think Janet said that she hadn't seen it happen, but she believed the younger women.
-
I really hope she "goes out like a punk" now.

It has to be said, over and over again: What 48-year-old married man repeatedly paws at and strokes the hips, waists, chests, butts, faces, legs, toes of 20-something women whom he has only known a few weeks (or even days)? And blatantly restricts that behavior to the most conventionally attractive ones? I'm starting to think he believes he IS Harvey Weinstein, pre-metoo.

Elizabeth's twitter post announcing last night's episode was a picture of the merge flag and something like "a beautiful name for our new merged tribe." So yeah, I think she was pretty clueless.

Right. I wonder, though, if he could bring a suit if his entire career/ability to earn money tanked due to this. I mean, he might not win, but he could sue.
-
I wonder if CBS is worried that Dan might sue them. It seems likely that he will be facing real-world and professional consequences.

We need a different Ponderosa location, though, to isolate the despicable people. I don't care to watch them at Ponderosa (often my favorite part of the show), and I don't want to know that our heroes have to deal with them there. OTOH, it would be awfully satisfying to watch Jamal patronizingly mansplain to them how to be appropriate, respectful, not-malevolent adults while they are captive there. Let it be so!

Yes. Hugging everyone everywhere was not how we were raised as Gen-xers. Like today, HS kids hug their friends EVERY DAY, repeatedly. Not saying that's bad, but we did not do that in the 70s/80s. We hugged our friends at graduation, after a winning game, etc. When I entered the workforce, it was strictly handshake only in meetings, etc. Then over the next 20 years, somehow it morphed into business colleagues kissing each other on the cheek and hugging when greeting. And now with Sexual Harassment training, most of that thankfully has stopped. It is not a Gen-X thing, it's a Dan thing. Also, I don't think his defense the he comes from the industry that birthed #metoo landed the way he wanted it to.

On behalf of Wendell, I'm pissed about his appropriation of the toothpick.

I am starting to believe that the Producers spent so much time on the interaction between Jack and Jamal over the do-rag comment as a kind of counterpoint to the disaster we saw last night. In the J/J interaction, there was offense given/taken, but also mutual respect and affection exhibited, and a kind of "pause" button on the gameplay while the two dealt with this real world issue. Not only did Jack offer a sincere apology but he also allowed that he had things to learn, and was open to doing so. Compare that to Dan's response -- he was in complete denial, acted like a cornered animal, played the victim and projected blame on everyone else last night. You have absolutely textbooks examples of how to and how not to deal with issues like these.

Hmmm. Maybe Dan gets booted or quits next week?!? A girl can hope.

Also, Janet came across very well in her encounter with BRob and Sandra on IOTI. Janet FTW!
-
Dan was a pompous ass who thought very highly of himself but didn't have the goods to back it up. He was a chauvinistic mainsplainer, a truly dumb person who thought he was the smartest person in every interaction, and had a very thin skin. I never thought it would be possible, but I feel better about Dan after the reckless malevolence displayed by Missy and Elizabeth last night.

Since he didn't complain, I don't think they realized how sick he was. Also, often with stomach ailments and food poisoning, you'll be better in 24-48 hours, regardless.

Plus the way she announced it: "Guys, my f-buddy and I are engaged!" The hell? Girl is a hot mess.
-
The editors must have an entire library of shots of him scowling and grumpy!
-
I don't have an issue with him serving tongue, but it seemed like the entire meal was very small portions. Was it only one scallop over some stuff, then a piece of beef tongue about two-inches square in size with some romesco? Then a flan? Seems like tasting portions, not full portions.
