Factoids regarding Michelle Duggar's breast feeding for 17 pregnancies 1. Michelle has pumped breast milk for one full hour, 6 times a day, every 4 hours 2. She pumped 3 bottles of milk every pump, approx 7 ounces in each bottle, or one gallon of milk every 24 hours 3. Michelle has breastfed babies for 275 months of her life 4. Over 17 pregnancies, Michelle has lactated 20,000 gallons of breast milk 5. Michelle has spent a total of six hours every day pumping breast milk These are statistics taken from an earlier episode, when Josie was in the hospital. The Duggar's were compiling and sorting out all the frozen bottles of breast milk that had been stored in the freezer. As a group activity, they organized these bottles of frozen milk into neatly packaged rows and put them all back in the freezer. The little freezer was filled to the lid with the bottles of her breast milk. From the looks of it, Michelle shouldn't have had to pump another ounce of her breast milk for the rest of her life, but she was. I think that she relished the quiet time sitting and pumping her breast milk every four hours while the older girls did all the chores and babysitting the younger kids.

It's not really off topic and you make a very valid point. There's many 'what ifs' that we'll never be made aware of like; 'what if one of the boys is gay?' or 'what if one of the girls is a lesbian'? or 'what if one of them falls in love with a black person?' or 'what if Michelle is able to get pregnant one more time and has a severely retarded or physically disabled child?' Their women are born to have babies. Their males are born to breed babies. This is their mission, their only goal in life. Forget college, careers, independence and free-thinking.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
HumblePi replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Josh Duggar is a sanctimonious, uneducated bloated bag of cult poison. Lobbyists and special interest groups like Josh Duggar and the FRC action group govern America according to their own agendas, not the agenda of the people. They buy up support from elected officials who have the power to push their agendas through. I think that lobbyists should all be banned from being anywhere near the Capital or having any access to Congress and no Congressman or Senator should have any involvement with any lobbyist or special interest group. It's counterproductive to business in the USA and it strikes right at the heart of our economy. -
Carole Radziwill: She's a Real Princess!
HumblePi replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Is Carole having a mid-life crisis or something? This season she's suddenly a wanton cougar that preys on young studs for sex. It made me laugh so hard when she was trying to impress the two '20-something' year old guys by telling them that she was the fit model for Guess jeans which became Jordache. They had no clue what Jordache is or was, and she was frustrated trying to get them to understand what a big deal she was then with the first famous name brand jeans and they had no clue at all what Jordache was. "are you sure you're pronouncing it right?" one said to her. Don't even try Carole, just be happy they're satisfied having sex with a cougar that's rich and semi-famous. -
Bethenny Frankel: Skinny Girl
HumblePi replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
I never watched RHONY in the past so I didn't know Bethenny Frankel at all. I had watched her television show once, and hated it. I thought she was a big mouth, NY rich-bitch with wine to sell, that's about all. Now I've seen two episode with Bethenny in it and I must say she's quite funny and sharp witted. She can take Ramona with one hand tied behind her back. I didn't quite buy the 'poor me, no home' business since she arrived at the Presidential suite at the Essex Hotel in Manhattan in a chauffeured limousine. What up with dat? A king size bedroom suite at the Essex goes for $5500 a night so I could only guess that The Presidential suite at the Essex goes for upwards of $10,000 a night. Who pays for that, Bravo, or the poor little rich girl? -
I had also thought that same thing, that these 'experts' could have chosen people that wouldn't have that almost insurmountable hurdle of pulling up their roots to move 3 hours away from their jobs. That was just plain stupid for them to do. Ryan is a real estate agent and how convenient is it to be 3 hours away in Queens when he has to show some homes in Stony Brook, Long Island? And Jacyln will have to commute to New Jersey for her job and pay a lot of money in tolls every day. I tell you, these experts couldn't have possibly made it any more difficult for two people to survive those obstacles even if they were truly in love when they got married.

I'd take a smoker over someone that doesn't have good hygiene. I can't deal with scummy teeth, bad breath, pungent armpits and skid marks in underwear, no no and no. Alright, so much for the physical part. Next, I like men that are secure and can make up their mind without hemming a hawing and kicking pebbles with their shoe. Take charge man, just do it! I like a man that's considerate and puts others before himself. I don't care about his religious beliefs, his politics or whether he wants sex 5 times a day or 5 times a month. He needs to like animals and children and be kind to old people. That's it.
-
I'm not happy with any of the 3 couples the so-called 'experts' have chosen for this season. I don't think any of them are good for each other. Ryan is okay, barely....but those teeth. What's up with those? Are they dentures? Does he need a gum reduction? Why are they so odd looking? He seems like a nice enough guy if a woman get get past those teeth and somehow disconnect him from his momma's apron strings. Jaclyn has a cute figure but she should try to tone down that bodacious personality. She needs to get rid of some of the leopard obsession along with some of the 'stripper-on-her-day-off' wardrobe. If she softened up a little bit and not be so harsh looking or acting, she might even be likeable. As I said, I don't like any of the 3 couples and I think they're all doomed.

Oh man, do I ever hate Ryan. I think he rates higher on my hate list than Davina, but she's a very close second. I think his picture should be somewhere on google when someone looks up the word 'douchbag'. BOOM! Ryan's picture is right there. He's bossy, arrogant and well....douchy. Run Jessica, run!! Just go put a dollar in the jar right now Ryan, shoo-shoo
-
All I can say about Davina is that she's a great big huge pain in the ass. She's a complaining, bitching, spoiled, sniveling, high-maintenance train wreck. (she looks cross-eyed sometime too). Needless to say, I don't like Davina one bit. Even the sulking baby face she made when David said he had to leave so he could go to work. He's an ER nurse for cripes sake there is real responsibility there. Does she care? Nope, not a bit. She only cared that she'd have to spend the first night in the apartment SHE insisted on alone without him. I just cannot stand Davina. She's going to either get a divorce and stay single forever, or fall in love with a man that doesn't take shit from her.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
HumblePi replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
This is a quote from the Josh & Anna Duggar official website. http://ja20.com/ "Josh is working as Executive Director at FRC Action, where his passion is to encourage Christians to engage in politics, promoting Faith, Family & Freedom." This is a quote from Change.org which is a website operated by Change.org, Inc., an American certified B Corporation incorporated in Delaware that provides a freemium petition tool for 65 million users and hosts sponsored campaigns for organizations. "Josh Duggar has also taken a position at the so called "Family Research Council". The Family Research Center is such a hate-filled, anti-gay organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2010 labeled it a “hate group” for its “dissemination of false and demonizing propaganda about gays and lesbians.” The Duggar family seek to remove freedoms from gay, lesbians and transgender people by demonizing them. FRC is basically a lobbyist company whose objective is to have laws changed that will remove the rights that gays and lesbians have fought long and hard for. -
I felt just the opposite, although I feel that TLC is using Josie's seizure in a way that's designed to garnish ratings. I don't think that TLC should be sensationalizing Josie's seizure episode as they have been, I think its irresponsible and morally wrong. On the other hand, I'm pleased to see that the Duggar's have made a decision to show some of the less cheerful and positive sides of their lives. I have always felt that's there's a plethora of incidents and emotions that they've hidden from the view of cameras because those things might present the Duggar's as less than perfect parents. Josie is 5 years old now but her premature birth has definitely put her at a higher than normal risk of developing epilepsy, and the risk increases dramatically (by 5 times) the earlier the birth occurs during pregnancy. Josie was only 25 weeks gestation. This brings me to the problems connected to preeclampsia that Michelle had during her pregnancy. Preeclampsia is extremely dangerous during a woman's pregnancy. It wasn't like Michelle was unaware of this potentially life-threatening condition since she had preeclampsia when she was carrying the twins 20 years earlier. The following is a quote given by Michelle in an interview with CBS News in August, 2010; Michelle Duggar: "The OBGYN that took care of me, he does high risk pregnancies. He said the gallstone I had developed, it was a blessing in disguise. The preeclampsia could have snuck up on us and they wouldn't have been able to prepare." Here's my question regarding the preeclampsia. If Michelle was being seen regularly during pregnancy, and developed preeclampsia during her second trimester, how is it that it wasn't treated prior to her gallbladder attack and surgery? Michelle must have been aware of the signs and symptoms of preeclampsia. When a woman reached the point of eclampsia, that presents an extreme risk for both mother and baby.

It's been on the news about how unstable the bridges in Paris are due to the romantic gestures of lovers putting a lock on the 'love bridge' and throwing away the key. Not only that, but the lock Ben 'made hisself' could probably double as a boat anchor in Arkansas. It was HUGE. But should we expect Ben to be aware of anything on the planet outside of his microcosm in Arkansas? Ben reminded me of Clark Griswald in National Lampoon's 'Vacation' when they reached the Grand Canyon. I imagined a similar emotion from Ben while inside the Eiffel Tower, all he wanted was to get back to the hotel room for some front hugging with Jessa. "yup, yup let's go" https://youtu.be/_5MPb7z0LZ4

Maybe if the Duggers used real plates, cups, and eating utensils instead of paper plates, paper cups, paper soup bowls, plastic forks, knives and spoons, they could save a little more money to put towards buying some never-worn clothes once in a while. They certainly have enough kids to rotate the dish washing duties.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
HumblePi replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
Even though she's only 17 and a year younger than Josiah, Marjorie Jackson almost looks older than Michelle. But it's fine because Josiah is the Duggar that I thought might be gay. You go boy! (side-hug) -
Kim Richards: No Escape from Witch Mountain
HumblePi replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I can only imagine what Kim will turn into once Monty dies, she loses her gig with Bravo and her children give up on her. Is that what could be considered 'rock bottom''? She's going to hit it hard. I hope there's still one hand left that's willing to reach into the abyss of her downward spiraling and pull her out before there's just no hope left. -
Kim Richards: No Escape from Witch Mountain
HumblePi replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
When Kim walked out of the interview with Dr. Phil, she more or less sealed her own fate. Her children sat there with their jaws dropped, Dr. Phil looked shocked and there's not a single person that will ever again believe Kim or give her any sympathy. How much responsibility do others have for one person on a mission of self-destruction? After so many years of trying. people will eventually throw their hands up and say 'goodbye, go kill yourself, we tried'. -
19 Things I Hate About You: How the Duggars Infuriate
HumblePi replied to Ljohnson1987's topic in Counting On
Duggar Rules of Romance #6 The first kiss occurs at the altar Waiting ensures "there's no regrets," Michelle, 48, says. In the meantime, the courting couple can focus on the "spiritual and emotional aspects of a relationship." The Duggar women and their intended husbands are big sticklers for 'no kiss before marriage'. They are proud of that and boast about it frequently, as if that's a good thing. I had a boy friend in high school that I wouldn't let him kiss me until the 3rd date. When he did, it was nasty, wet and his breath smelled like garlic. I gave him a second chance another time, hoping that was just a fluke and maybe he just forgot to swallow his saliva or had just had a garlic pizza. But no, it was just as nasty and he covered my mouth and face with it. Ew! It turned me off so much that I broke up with him. I couldn't imagine myself getting nearly sick to my stomach being kissed by that on a regular basis. This pride about 'no kiss before we're married' is just totally stupidity. I noticed that Ben kisses like a cardboard cutout figure so I hope he improved during the honeymoon. -
19 Things I Hate About You: How the Duggars Infuriate
HumblePi replied to Ljohnson1987's topic in Counting On
I see here that there's 45 pages of things that people dislike about the Duggar family and honestly I'm surprised there's not twice as much as there is. I think I could fill up 45 pages all by myself of things that just bother the hell out of me. Okay, so the most recent was an old episode I saw today when Ben asked for permission to court Jessa. They all met in a little laundry room, Jim Bob, Michelle, Ben and Jessa. After Jess accepted Ben's offer to court, Jim Bob allowed them to side hug for 30 seconds. (no more) Then, with a perfectly straight face and without blinking an eyelash he looked into the camera to say; "A side hug would be when two people wrap their arms around each other and give each other a hug from the side versus a frontal hug of pushing themselves together on the front and, I think everyone can figure that out on their own". I'm glad Jim Bob clarified that for the National viewing audience, aren't you? Basically he said that if a male and female give each other a 'frontal hug' that they will clash genitals causing lust to well up inside their loins and they will be compelled to fornicate. I have witnessed two female front hugging on camera but that's okay because they don't get feelings of lust exploding from their groins when they hug, so that's okay with the home church people. Jim Bob? You were sort of pushing the envelope here, weren't ya, you bad bad boy. I think this was a 'fride' hug, sort of a combination of side and front hug. Did you think you would get away with that? ACK! was Michelle sitting on your lap? -
I came away from the honeymoon episode thinking what an amazing trip-of-a-lifetime to be wasted on a couple of 'world-less youngsters' who could never really appreciate an historic trip like one to Paris, Rome and Venice. It struck me when they arrived in Rome. Ben said he had been looking forward to seeing Rome 'oh because of all the history and stuff'. I instinctively rolled my eyeballs and wondered how much 'edumuhkashun' Ben has had about the history of Rome or anywhere in Europe for that matter. I can equate a European tour by Jessa and Ben to serving a 3 year old child a gourmet dinner prepared at Pierre Gagnaire's in Paris and expecting him to appreciate it for what it was. These young, naive women are in for some life's awakenings as they grow up. Unfortunately for them, they're committed to live out their tour of duty as white slaves to their husbands and children.

Past Seasons Talk: 7 Seasons and Counting
HumblePi replied to auntie thesis's topic in 19 Kids And Counting [V]
There was a past season episode from the year 2010 on my TV last night. It was the episode when Josie had been born prematurely and had to spend 4 months in the Arkansas Children's Hospital. The Duggars moved all their children right after Christmas into a historic home in Little Rock called the Cornish House. I don't know exactly how they were able to move into that home temporarily but I was curious about that since it was on the Little Rock list of historic homes. I googled this estate and found the history of the home quite interesting. I also found the home listed on Trulia as being for sale after a foreclosure. The thing I found amusing was the fact that the home was custom built in 1917 for Edward and Hilda Cornish. Edward Cornish was one of the most prominent and affluent bankers of the twentieth century. His wife Hilda was instrumental in founding the organization that became the Planned Parenthood Association of Arkansas. Then in 2010 the Duggars and their 18 children moved into this historic home to be near Josie while she was in the hospital. I couldn't help wondering if Hilda Cornish was turning over in her grave since it was she that was influential in Little Rock as the main driving force in the Arkansas birth control movement.- 443 replies

This is a couple that has never kissed or hugged and of course have never been intimate before their wedding. I'm sure they humped like bunny rabbits and probably didn't even leave their hotel room for a couple of days in Paris. They're both healthy adults and I'm betting that she's pregnant and will remain that way for most of the next 30 years.
