  1. My bad - I was looking at the wrong actress. Hard to say how old this actress is, since there is no age reference to be found. But she is still not believable as Cat's mother in my book. Part of that may be due to my not being a fan of AM. What she does with her mouth drives me crazy, and she has an overall harsh look that makes her look old.
  2. I don't know where to even begin. I am really hoping that come spring, we see the end of so many of the current story lines. How many more undead people will we have to endure? I am already over the whole Cat story line. Her "mother" looks more like her sister - looked it up and, sure enough, the actress is 5 yrs younger than AM. Do better, Days. If you are going to keep giving us these crap story lines like resurrections, possessions, secret miracle potions, etc, can you at least make some part of them believable? Can this please be the end of Clyde, and ffs let Abby stay dead! The Green family started out with a lot of potential, but that got killed fast, and will be even more so if they go with a who's the daddy sl for Catarina. Can't they be on canvas as having come to Salem to right past wrongs instead of rewriting the bast and being related to everyone? Y'all have some good points about future potential, but I guess we'll just have to wait until spring to see where the new writing goes. I am interested to see how it all transitions. We saw how it changed during the strike - maybe that was part of the motivation to get rid of Re-Ron.
  3. This! I used to walk home from school for lunch just so I could watch Search with my mom! Mary Stewart will always be number one in my book!
  4. Still thinking about how good today's show was. It was enough that Gloria Loring was back, but then, she actually sang! There were noticeable absences, but I could have done without Paulina's presence. I think part of what made Doug/Bill's memorial so moving was knowing that they were the same loving couple in real life as they were on screen. I'm betting SSH had a big say in how things played out. Her doing the eulogy was perfect, though I couldn't help but wonder what parts were Doug and what parts were Bill. I was around for Tom, Alice, Caroline, and Stephano, the latter never really got a proper send off, but I don't remember any of the memorials. Kudos to SSH - she is truly a class act!
  5. Monday's episode was the best one in forever!! I was elated to see Gloria Loring! I still have her album with Friends and Lovers! Doug's send-off is proving to be so worthy of his legacy to the show. Makes Victor's more pathetic by comparison. Yes, there were some things I could have done without, but on the whole, it was lovely to see so many folks return to ay tribute to Doug. And Julie has been a trooper. I expected more tears, until I realized that she has already shed her real life tears over her husband's passing. What an amazing couple and an amazing life!
  6. This show has so jumped the shark. They should take a page from the Roloff play book, and canx. I could see a show without Robin and Kody as being entertaining, provided it was just about the OG3 and the children, going on with their lives, not involving K&R in any way - retribution smack talk or screen time. He's gotten what he asked for, so STFU and go live your life. Offscreen.
  7. It happens. My sister in law has hands that constantly shake, but is otherwise healthy. I believe it is hereditary.
  8. Was this Gwendolyn and Bea's engagement party or shower? I'm so confused LOL
  9. This may just be Paulina putting Abe on blast for Chanel saying Johnny is 'working' so many hours
  10. OMG FINALLY someone remembered that Small Bar still existed in Salem. Sadly, it was Eric, not John, or even Steve. Where is Steve? I sure hope the new writers quickly get rid of B&S. It just feels like filler bs.
  11. This! My takeaway from this episode in a nutshell. That whole scene was so (poorly) staged.
  12. I ffd through Olivia. They should either give her her own show, or cancel Plathville and just produce the Olivia show. She married Ethan and immediately set out to change him in worldly ways, but not in relationship ways. Now she is all miss superiority, but basically fell for the first guy who gave her a nod.
  13. Perhaps they're only coming back for the Bill Hayes tribute?
  14. Are there any clues as to where the "Fabigal" SL is going? So far, it is not making any sense, but the shock value was good. I hope the denouement is worth all the lead up - it's going to be a big disappointment if Ron blows it. It's such a strange story line - why is she pretending to be Abby, when she has a brother who is raising his two younger siblings alone, and who seems to have a dark secret of his own, judging from his recent convo with Aaron. I guess part of why it's hard to predict is that we don't know much about Mark, Felicity, and Aaron to begin with. Since it re-Ron, are we going to get another "payback" story line like Sloane's? I guess I have high hopes for this story, and want it to be good!!
  15. I had a different take. For the most part, it was fine, but there was the scene after Tate left her alone where she seemed to be at a loss with how to act - I thought they should have played some memory clips of her and Eric together to show the confusion she was going through. It was awkward. Hard to believe she got this far and never knew - like most teens, she is married to her phone, so I can't believe she didn't Google Dr Dan out of curiosity. Keeping secrets never bodes well, especially on a soap!
