  1. After Secretariat got his own on-stage stable, I missed the old bit of Craig ringing the doorbell and doing the arm-waving Secretariat dance with the Secretariat theme song. I'm happy they did that one more time in the final show. No live puppetry but eh, you can't have it all.
  2. Damnit, I'm a big fan of Geoff Petersen and Josh Robert Thompson and I don't get why he's not getting more love here!
  3. I'm gonna miss him. I haven't seen Celebrity Name Game yet, I don't even know if it plays in my market. I don't know if his hypothetical new early-evening talk show will play in my market either, and I'm not usually at home at those hours anyway. But he's coming to do stand-up in Philadelphia in February and I hope I can go!
  4. I understand the Leno choice: Craig thought he could provide some unique perspectives on retiring as a late-night host (kinda sorta), and showed once again that Craig rises above the gossip and petty grievances of Hollywood. Anyway, I was amused by the final bit -- I was a fan of the Drew Carey show and I remember the ridiculous plotlines in which Craig and Drew were forced to get married. (And then when I heard the news of him getting the LLS, I was like, "What? That guy??") But I was kinda hoping to end with another heart-warming segment like the cold open. That ending just left me feeling incredibly sad!
  5. Aw, I wish that clip were the whole thing, including the in-studio part! Anyway, I'm happy that the puppets were included.
  6. Thanks. I think the thing that bugs me the most is that only some of the teams are meeting for the first time. Aren't the teams who know each other going to have a pretty big advantage?
  7. Tim and TeJay guest-star in one of Kim and Alli's videos: There's also a link to the guys' channel, sadly lacking in TAR recaps: https://www.youtube.com/user/TimandTeJay
  8. FWIW, Kym and Alli discuss Leg 11 with Tim and TeJay: They claim Bethany had like a broken hip or something during the race. No talk about the Wrestlers being their favorite team this week, although they do take the time to admire her and Bethany's basketball skills. Alli looks like she's had enough of Maya's perkiness.
  9. I can read this thread now! I always wonder how accurate the spoilers are. Pretty damn accurate.
  10. Well if casting for the next All-Stars is like the last one, I'd expect them to cast the Cyclists and the Wrestlers. Re lottery: I was just thinking the same thing! I didn't feel like the editing telegraphed the ending at all. However, I did see a media article whose headline indicated that Phil called the ending "unpredictable", which as soon as the wrestlers were eliminated, strongly suggested that the scientists would win. Phil should not be allowed to say such things!
  11. UMMMMM....looks like I spoke too soon!!!
  12. WAAAAAIT A MINUTE, what the hell was going on in that preview for the next season?? Some of the racers are meeting their teammates for the very first time as blind dates???? Oh TAR, please don't turn into Big Brother!!
  13. Wow. That happened! A little random but also awesome! Only the third female team winners!
  14. Wow, what a final task. I'm not sure I like the tasks on this final leg. With the first RB and the search and rescue, there didn't seem to be much opportunity to pass another team. And this last task feels a bit too random. I understand the rationale behind having two RBs in the final leg, but I wish both teammates were involved in the last task.
  15. Ooh, the scientists make a little mistake and slip into 3rd. Hopefully the wrestlers are eliminated. I was about to say that I was amazed that they're letting the teams drive themselves, but here come the taxis. The taxis always make or break the teams on the final leg.
  16. Go food scientists! They're leading the way so far!
  17. A couple of good elegies: https://tv.yahoo.com/news/last-awkward-pause-fond-farewell-111200685.html http://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/tv/a-last-late-late-show-from-fearlessly-funny-craig-ferguson/2014/12/18/b678795e-8623-11e4-9534-f79a23c40e6c_story.html
  18. I suppose none of the previously.tv writers care about Craig Ferguson's show ending tonight as well. Nary a mention on ew.com either. :(((
  19. Oh wow, a nice surprise appearance by Mr. James Corden himself! He is so incredibly nervous! Not the best first impression.
  20. Man, I really did not know what to think of Natalie's plan to take out Baylor. Was it really necessary? I mean, Baylor always seemed like the smallest threat to win. I guess Natalie felt like she had to make a big showy move for the jury. It worked out for her but it was a huge risk. SHE GAVE UP HER IDOL! I mean, if she had done that, and then they had voted her out, then we'd be sitting here calling her the biggest dumb-ass in Survivor history. And all Jaclyn had to do was vote for Natalie instead of Baylor. Apparently Natalie just told Jacyln, "Just vote for Baylor and trust me, we don't even need Keith". Jaclyn should have been able to figure out what Natalie was doing. Then if she flipped her vote, it would have been one vote for Baylor and one for Nat, and they could have voted Nat out on the revote. And then they could have gotten Keith out at F4, and then Jaclyn would have had a shot at winning! That took BALLS, Natalie. Big brassy balls. I admire it, that's just how you played on TAR: go big or go home. But I do wonder if it was necessary. Just like voting out Alec instead of Keith, which very nearly backfired because Keith didn't beat Jon as they hoped but almost won the last two immunities. And voting out Alec forced you to lie to your alliance to keep their trust. Very risky. Anyway, I'm glad it worked out!
  21. No, but they always film these seasons back to back in the same location, so Nicaragua again for sure. Ugh, I hated Reed's speech. He is now my least favorite. Nasty, spiteful, mean, completely unnecessary. He must have been able to tell that the jury wasn't going to vote for her anyway, so there was no need. Dare I say it? It was un-Christian. (And it would have been nice to have seen any of her alleged bad behavior towards the "outcasts" that Reed was talking about. I didn't see any of that at all. Good god, has any middle-aged woman who's made it to FTC been treated kindly since Tina?? They always seem to get the worst of the jury's bile.)
  22. It's only for the premiere. Then TAR moves back to Fridays.
  23. Heh, it would be hilarious if they actually made them wear giant white or blue collars, or no collars, throughout the game!
  24. You know, when Jeff was going on and on about the evolution of Survivor and how the next season it would evolve further, I expected him to reveal some new game mechanic twist like Redemption Island. But in the end it was just a new cast. Huh? (I mean, I won't be surprised if there does turn out to be a new game mechanic, but that was not part of the pitch.)
