  1. Can we include Eli and please leave out BenAlex? Please? He really needs to cover up, at this point. We know he has abs. Everyone knows 🙄 Here's a direct quote from the article: "Knowing Dattilo’s as a prankster, how much skin the cast of Days of Our Lives will be showcased is unknown." English. 👏
  2. Just watched it and yup, that's already one of the best episodes of the year. Very well done. Great sense of history. I feel like I finally know the whole Horton family overview. And the flashbacks were fantastic. So, so glad they did that. Leo is a turd, but sure, fine, he was bearable. ....did anyone else wonder if his voiceover while reading the article about someone awful "setting fire to their legacy!" was a bit of a meta dig at Ari Z? I guess Albert A was fired by this point, right? And Ari's lawyer helped her return to her job, hence Nicole being back...so...could this whole "house burned down/family attacked" plot be a dig at her ruining DOOL's legacy on the part of Corday? I mean, if the house set was in disrepair and needed updating and they just happened to use this as the moment to make that change, okay. Buuuut...... 🤔
  3. That is so cool !!! Thank you for sharing, I'd have never known. ...I'm a bit surprised at the guest list though. Only two major characters will be present from the last decade of the series: Michael Hudson and Felicia Gallant. That's great and all - love them - and I'm not sneering at vets from the 70s or 80s by any means but....no Cass? No Frankie? Marley? Lorna? Joe? Gary? Sharlene? Lucas? Grant? Donna? Amanda? Rachel?? I have no clue where anyone lives, mind you, but if they're hoping for a good turnout, hopefully some more of the big "A Names" get involved. It would be so, so nice to see more of the "recent" vets attending. (You know what I mean) Let's see...I think I heard Tom Eplin is very much out of acting, and Jensen is too and had that drunk driving arrest thing happen semi-recently...Wyndham seemingly wants nothing to do with the fandom, from what little I've heard, and just sculpts in LA or something....Judi Evans works occasionally at DAYS so therefore lives in or near LA, so this would be a long trip... Question about the actual show: I was watching the scenes where Joe tells Donna that Michael has died (brutal, fantastic acting from Anna Stuart), and I was looking at the set for Donna's house and thinking....isn't that the set for Cass's house too? By 1999, a year later, he's in a strikingly similar home entertaining Lila, and Anne O'Donnell, and Charlie. ....if it IS Donna's place (which she had for years and years, going back to the Anne Heche era) did they ever explain how Cass ended up there? Donna was essentially living at Vicky's cottage for the last months of the show... Am I just confusing two sets? Or did it suddenly become Cass' place?
  4. That was too dark. If he'd stayed on that path he wouldn't still be on the show right now. He'd have become irredeemable fast.
  5. Holy shit...! Did Maggie and Marlena share a scene!? 😲 Ok I didn't realize this episode was happening today. Will have to watch it in full and report back.
  6. It may only be speculation. Clyde arranging it would make a little more sense. But what did Chad fail to do, as per the threatening call afterwards?
  7. If Corday is mismanaging the show, but he solely owns the show, how do things improve? He'd have to sell it to someone else?
  8. Paulina should put some of that cash to use on a decorator for that hideous apartment of hers then. And maybe an alternate wig. Does someone else in the family get to be interim mayor now that Paulina is indisposed? Maybe Big Mama?
  9. The way you catch me off-guard, boes, you dont even know 😂😂😂 *catches his breath* So I just read a spoiler/speculation that the Horton house arsonist was in fact.... ....wait for it... [spoilers] ...the Pawn. [/spoilers] I'm not sure about that one.
  10. How does it make sense if she's still a prison inmate?
  11. Konstantin's daughter who died somehow. I missed the details because I've got a cold and am dozing throughout the day.
  12. I often think of AW and find it so, so sad that fewer and fewer people out there do too. Really wish the show had been preserved and streamed somehow. Soaps just vanish into the ether.
  13. Knowing what we know now about how permanent her coma was going to be, so am I. Paulina's being discharged? Wish the writers would do the same with these two cardboard characters. Half of that sentence is exciting. I hope they rebuild it with the same details. Preferably before Doug dies.
  14. I agree! Never enjoyed Paulina more! I'm always thrown when the actors sing on DAYS because you never know what genre it'll be. Johnny is Country Western, apparently. Jada is a bad cop if this is how she reacts to someone lying about who they are. Doesn't that happen regularly? Get it together, girl. And Rafe, LET HER go do research at the station if she wants to. Why not solve this immediately? I don't see the point in drawing this out. I'm so glad we finally know who Katerina is. Feel bad for Maggie though. That nurse dayplayer was living her best life with every line of dialogue 😄
  15. Also, is this an anniversary of some sort?
  16. The actress they cast as young Alice looks spot-on! Tom is pretty good too. ...the house, on the other hand, is a mess 🥺 Why are you bringing us down like this, Show? We're already depressed enough.
  17. Nobody would bother getting within ten feet of Paulina, even with her vocal power diminished. I would pay good money to see Sami mess her up though.
  18. HAHAHA :) See, I don't mind it now that it's the awful Gwenresa incarnation. Tear her to shreds! (Still love JL) Brady's rejection of Kristen as a nasty human being is only...oh...12 years too late? I loved him and Eileen together, but yeah, where was ANY of this awareness back when Kristen was first doing it all Brady? Back when you kept on sleeping with her no matter how insane she was...? I don't enjoy SH as Kristen much, but she was really strong in today's episode, playing all the demented beats of her character. We saw sad lonely Kristen, hoping for a magic fix with Brady just because it was Valentine's Day, uncomfortable Kristen being reminded of her many shocking sins and unable to even buy her own BS excuses, jealous Kristen at the mention of Theresa (more on that in a second), conflicted Kristen when Rachel overheard the fight, and manipulative Kristen, trying to vie for her daughter's sympathies while "consoling" her. I doubt SH really respects or enjoys Kristen as a human being (who could?) so it was impressive that she found a way to live each of those sides of her personality in the scenes today. I felt all of it, and a lot of regret and shame. It was a solid performance and an interesting epilogue to the years of abuses. But...where is it going? Brady has clearly lost Rachel in every way possible, Kristen will never get him back...so....can we just end this now? Let Kristen and Rachel depart for real? So back to Theresa...how in God's name is Brady tolerating even speaking with Kristen about Theresa? The show's writers seem to want to gloss over the magnitude of how Kristen violated Theresa. They even cautiously referenced it without saying "you had a medical procedure performed on Theresa!" It's like somehow they want us to forget the details, even when bringing it up... Little Rachel was pretty good, but unfortunately, she has a tendency to smile/smirk when she thinks she's doing well in her scenes. Today she didn't get believably upset with Brady, and beamed weirdly when Kristen hugged her, even though she was supposed to be hurt by her parents arguing. Oh well. Still like her overall. It's strange. I know Xander is also an awful person who did awful things, but when I see Sarah believing in him, and not telling him to kick rocks, and then see Brady not believing in Kristen and telling her to kick rocks...I'm nodding at both scenes. Guess Telfer has more presence and likeabilty. Stephanie, you haven't been paying attention if you think Rafe is a funny guy. Ava, I do not feel sorry for you. You and Stefan will probably sleep together some more, and Harris will probably be fine, and whatever, whatever, etc, etc. I missed parts of yesterday's episode, but liked how cute John and Marlena looked in their red outfits...until I realized the show was putting two 70 year olds at an outdoor picnic table in FEBRUARY. WTF?!? How is freezing your geriatric ass off romantic, John? There was snow and ice all around. Dude...!?!?! Also, within five minutes we had two completely different status updates for Chad's kids. First he says they wanted to go to school for V Day stuff, then we had Justin saying Doug was looking after them at the Kiriakis house. Huh? OH shit. I'm losing it. SPOT ON, man. Spot on!
  19. Plus Evil Andre and Temperate Tony, who were...um....cou....bro....twi.....half cou....?! They were the same actor. Yeah.
  20. What?? ...woah. I figured this would be a minor fire and we'd see the house again in a month. The whole house is gone? AND the ornaments? That's awful :( (The real ornaments are safe IRL of course.)
  21. Please, please tell the rest of us why you enjoy them. Maybe it'll help make them less dull to the rest of us. I think I've enjoyed moments of Wendy and Tripp, but they are very few and far between. Tripp seems like a plastic wind-up doll with all his girlfriends. So blank. So supportive. As for Everett...I just had the awful thought that maybe they're going to *gulp* give Blake a double role, and have the startling reveal be that he's got a twin. For no ****ing reason whatsoever.
  22. I just realized...Sheri missed a golden opportunity for Julie to invite Paulina, BenAlex, Gwenresa, Leo, Wendy, Ava, Harris and Kristen to her place for a sleepover while she and Doug treated Chad and the kids to a night out at the Salem Inn. Imagine the tears if none of the guests managed to get out.
  23. *Snort* Can we upgrade that to a coma? I fully agree, Boes, about the Horton House set. I hope, since the fire was basically just a strip behind the couch, that the actual set was in no way harmed and will only be dressed to look "burned" in the episodes to come. There's no good reason to mess with it. And really, when was the last time we saw a good new set built on this show? Do they even have set designers anymore? Or do stagehands just figure out for themselves how to manoeuver the same six walls to make something sorta kinda newish, like kids rebuilding a cardboard dollhouse? So many of the sets today lack any kind of fun perspective, or visual trickery. It's all just little boxes with doors. Unfortunate. We had it so good in the '90s didn't we?
  24. Everything about the 21st sounds great....until this creeper is mentioned.
  25. Well this was an exciting day in Salem! Feels like a long time since we've had a fire or shootings. Lots of danger. The meta-ness of the Horton house getting burned down makes me wonder: was Ken wanting to comment on Ari's "betrayal" in some way? Was this a literal depiction of "you're burning it all down on the way out!" or just a random story idea of the interim regime during the strike? There's something so deliberately unsettling about the way it was filmed too, with the "gasoline" getting thrown all over the set. Even if it's just water, wouldn't that leave marks? I will say, the rape couch can go. I always think of poor Ciara (and Chase, whose character was butchered beyond repair) when I see it. They can buy another vintage one. I mean...was that the same couch they had back in Episode One of Days? If not, lose it. It never looked that comfortable anyway. It warms my heart to see Kate and Lucas hugging. Their relationship has been off-camera for too long. Would be nice to see them having an arc again. Is it wrong I hope both Harris and Paulina die? Harris isn't needed, his arc seems short-term anyhow, and having Ava go bad again feels like the natural evolution anyway. I paused the video to see who was playing the Horton House Intruder and my best guess is Everett. There were some pouty lips going on under the mask. Maybe they just hired an extra to keep it mysterious. I could have sworn Chanel said "get into bed and play with you like I used to when I was a kid" which made me do a double-take. 🤢 I rewound it to make sure I heard incorrectly, and I did. She said "lay". Speaking of mumbled words, I honestly couldn't make out much of what Roman was saying. Old age and the southern (?) accent are working against him. So nice to see Doug, though. The slow motion delivery be damned, it's just nice to see him. If there's one advantage to a long lead time, it's that he and Nicole will be around for a while still and that makes me happy. What a weird, sad thing the way the timing has lined up. The lawsuit coinciding with the house fire. Eerie.
