  1. I tend to think after Emma and Hook are reunited, the Underworld becomes flashbacks. The writers won't want a repeat of the Neverland arc.
  2. It's just too much Bob. I like him as a coach not a host.
  3. I get that people like to binge watch or not have any reruns. But to me watching every episode of a show in two days and then having to wait a year for new episodes wrecks the suspense factor. I feel like that's what we're seeing with Once. I had to pay to see the last 15 minutes of the finale because I was on vacation and couldn't reset the DVR. I didn't want to wait till March to see it but had it been any other episode, it wouldn't have been re run anyway.
  4. Anyone else wonder how long it will take Rumple to get rumplenapped by the baddie of the arc? David: Are they... Snow:...Nachos?
  5. I think the 2 1/2 month break is ridiculous. It's like the show just gets going after a 4.5 month break and it stops again. The half seasons aren't working either. It was fine for Neverland (because how much longer could they walk in circles in the woods without coats) but this season is a prime example of a very rushed and haphazard plot that could've been interesting if given the time. I mean why go to Camelot if you're not going to explore it beyond a ball and a marital dispute? I'm not sure it's fair to judge the finale numbers with it being preempted. I know my DVR missed the last 15 minutes because I wasn't home to reset it.
  6. I liked the chest of drawers in the kitchen too. I thought it was interesting that Bromstad claimed that idea, where were they originally supposed to go and was it just a coincidence they just happened to fit? I thought one of the sillier things was the blanket draped in the master tub and the blankets hanging on the towel hooks by the shower. I'm sure they are thrown in to add some color, but couldn't a PA run to the store for blue towels? Who dries off with a linen throw?
  7. Ouch! Tv fanatic really thinks Once is the worst show on tv? That seems really extreme. Granted, no one liked the Zelena pregnancy storyline which is obviously why her pregnancy was accelerated and she was shipped off to Oz but by leaving the baby in Storybrooke she has a reason to return which wi no doubt mean Zelena's hanging around like it or not. As for tv blunders, yes the Zelena arc is unforgivable and I didn't love Jmo's acting decisions with Dark Swan but honestly what's happened on Castle this season should rank higher as far as blunders go.
  8. I like the exterior of the Dream Home but over all it doesn't feel very dreamy to me. Normally I come away with a few ideas for my own home but I thought the design was puzzling. Loved: The surfing mural/custom wallpaper. The green color in the master bedroom once the furnishings had been added. Bromstad's crafts The coral color in the guest room The exterior of the house and driveway Disliked: The odd colorless formality of the open public space. The couches seemed too formal up against the surf mural. The kitchen had no personality and the bar stools didn't work. The tv room was ridiculous, two couches facing each other while the tiny tv was flanked by oversized lamps and plants. A couch and a chair or two would've made more sense. The walls felt over accessoried in each room and other than the mural there was nothing that connected the house to it's location. It was incredibly generic. I wasn't impressed with the designer and his giant light fixtures which is apparently his signature design. How could one even enter or exit the master bathtub without hitting the light? Apparently someone was electrocuted in the boathouse during construction which is perhaps why the outside tour was cut short. As for the blogger appearance, I felt like that was added in because there were no women featured on the show. Bromstad is fine, but the main host was annoying and even worse on the Rose Parade coverage. Did they really think this guy yelling through the hour was the best way to show this luxury home? I thought it was bizarre they put the master on the second floor when the house is located in a state known for it's retirees.
  9. I'm not sure "everyone seems to like it" is accurate. My guess is that clients go to them because they know that's their style. I think the show is popular because they like the relationship between Chip and Joanna, it's real chemistry vs. a manufactured one like Love it or List it. My problem is that as a design show it fails because there's no need to watch more than a couple episodes because every project ends up looking the same despite the varied house styles. Joanna only does whitewashed shabby chic, which looking at her own home, is her personal style.
  10. I think Chip and Joanna and their little family are fun. Chip seems to be a good builder. But I cannot understand how they have a show because all of Joanna's designs are the SAME. Every house ends up with ship lap and a white kitchen ( I was shocked she went with black cabinets in the B&B). They all end up with some kind of French country/shabby chic atmosphere. Isn't the point of a show to demonstrate different techniques? Does every house need a giant clock or rusty piece of farm equipment hanging from the wall? It's like Joanna says, "sure we'll restore the house to it's true character," and then it ends up looking like every other house she does. She only has one style.
  11. Honestly, I kind of hope that Lily goes the way of Will or Tamera and Greg and disappears as far as our characters know. While I wouldn't mind Liam marrying them and it's nice parallel to Snow and Charming, other Tumblrs report that there was shouting in the scene at the wishing well, not exactly the environment for a wedding.
  12. Well, I'm back and finally watched Broken Heart and Swan Song. I think it really helped to watch the episodes back to back so I didn't have frustration over Hook's character being so heavily retconned for a week. I think it's fine that Hook became "Dark Hook", with the foreshadowing of "sharing the burden" and Killian being the only one who was really on Emma's side through the whole thing. That said, I find it hard to believe that the dark side would bring back Hook's quest for revenge against Rumple to the extreme that he was willing to "kill/send the Underworld" every member of Emma's family in order to get it. I liked the resolution of Hook sacrificing himself and Emma's determination to get him back. I don't even mind that Rumple tricked everyone, again. But the idea that Hook would go so dark as to kill everyone who Emma cares about, I mean, even Regina and Rumple haven't done anything that extreme. I just don't think Hook would go that far. And from the interviews, we're supposed to believe that he was just being a pissed off boyfriend, ok, so maybe you put Regina in danger or the dwarves if that were the case. You don't put Snow, Charming and Henry in that situation. On another note, the Zelena drama in Swan Song felt completely out of place but I suppose they needed her back in Oz so that Rebecca can have a storyline in 5b without needing to be in the Underworld. Hook's dad was ok, that bit did give us a little insight into why Killian is big on personal choice after being made an indentured servant as a child. I do wonder how much choice he gave his victims as Captain Hook. I get that they are literally wanting Emma to walk through hell to get her true love back, but turning Hook so dark after we've seen him spend 3 seasons trying to be the better man felt like something that should've happened in season 2 not 5. If he can so easily backslide, how can he be trusted? Oh, wait, he was "cursed" so it's ok, nevermind.
  13. What's puzzling is that Amy knows she's supposed to come back. They obviously cut the scene because they've decided not to say goodbye to the characters yet, which could be good for the actors. Wake up Amy!
  14. Yep, I expect this to be followed up on just like Lily and Will. As for Hook's new job...honestly I expect him to have 2 hands and not be a sailor. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the sheriff.
  15. Can I just say I won't be reading Brigitte's hints on Twitter. She'd been teasing since September that the mid season finale was great for Captain Swan and then a few weeks ago she cried happy tears once she saw it on film. Either she hates Captain Swan or has a weird since of humor. I don't consider the fact that Emma had to kill Killian as good for them going forward...
  16. I haven't seen the episode yet because I'm away but I've read the articles and interviews...reading the EW one where Jenn says the over riding lesson was that she has to learn to let go and not control everything. So I guess she should've let Regina become the Dark One last finale or let Hook (the only one who believed in her) die in the Middlemist field. Yet, it's ok when she helps or saves everyone else, but when her own happiness comes into play, just let it go? It sounds to me that the whole arc was pointless beyond Captain Swan making out every episode. No foreshadowing about Dark Hook coming, no resolution to Merida or Camelot. And it was all for naught anyway because despite destroying the darkness, Rumple is the new dark one? Seriously if Emma wants to share a heart with Killian, take it out split in half, put back, no trip to Underworld needed. Perhaps tha Charmings and Robin and Regina are wanting sometime away from their newborns so they fancy a trip to another world which why they don't tell Emma this fixable in Storybrooke?
  17. Will we see young Liam Jones? No Daddy Jones: why is he alive for so long? He isn't. Will Hook kill his father in the flashback? Yes Regina/Hook flashback: real or not real? Real How will the climax play out? Hook sacrifices himself, which is dumb. Why do the DO rules constantly change for plot? Zelena--dead or no? Dead. The Nevengers go to athe UW on purpose to save Hook or becasue they have been Marked? Both. They are marked and they always save their family in this case Hook What happens to Excalibur? Well, we know it's split in two again because Rumple cuts himself with the dagger. Maybe it splits at the time of the Sacrifice because it's too much power to be contained?
  18. Crap. I'm out of the country and I bet my DVR will record the President's address instead of a later Once. It's not like it's the most important episode so far this season. Ugh. You can bet they'll take the whole hour between waiting for him to come out and the spin afterwards
  19. Thinking about those who are marked for the Underworld...we know from photos that Snow,Charming and Henry are marked. Perhaps Regina, Robin and Rumple agree to go to rescue them with the added bonus of picking up Hook. I just think there has to be more to it than "Save Hook."
  20. Is the reason we think the Scarybrookers have no memory because Milah isn't yelling at Rumple? Perhaps she's forgiven him after 200 years...
  21. Good grief, now Emms is suicidal to save everyone. Can the Savior ever get a break? Isn't it enough that she's lost Hook twice in this arc? I still don't like the message that you can do good things ( take on the darkness to save everyone) and still lose what matters most, Ugh.
  22. So, Colin is saying be prepared for a heart breaking and heart wrenching mid season finale but, Brigette the writer is saying have faith in Hook and that she cried happy tears watching the finale. Is she a Nimue fan because I don't know what else to think. Colin makes it sound like the finale is hell for CS so I don't see the point in being happy about it. Honestly 6 months potentially is a long time to wait for this storyline to resolve.
  23. I agree. I don't think any of the actors (other than Bobby) would give away a filming spoiler like a CS reunion. I think it's more likely she was talking about the scene in Emma's house in 5.9 and they were currently filming 5.13. She's talking to Charming because they are the ones who share a heart. He must be taking the darkification of his best bro pretty hard?
  24. So basically Emma's speech in the premiere about how they all let her down and that's why they're cursed back in Storybrooke, was just a way to push them away? And shockingly it worked. Snow's reaction in the sneak peek is ridiculous. It's still hard to tell how much time has passed since they've been back (because, really Hook hasn't noticed he hasn't been sleeping for a week?). I get that Snow didn't want to "beat" Emma, but her lack of wanting to do anything has been just as bad. At least Charming showed some frustration about the whole situation. Snow and Regina immediately siding against Emma saving Hook is ridiculous, as both of them have done just as much to save Robin and Charming. What other choice did Emma have? No one else had any solutions. And really, it's like they just expect Emma to be the one to always take one for the team, I'm glad that she finally was proactive about something/someone she wanted. Also, Colin is awesome as Dark Hook, which I guess is the cartoon version of his "Hook." I think it's interesting they had him keep his hook when he was remade as the Dark One. Rumple loses his limp when he's that Dark One, I'm surprised Hook didn't get his evil hand back.
  25. Shouldn't the Operation be changed to "Save Hook"? Since it looks like they're all going to be dealing with the Underworld in an effort to find Hook? Emma is already light again in 5b.
