  1. I love how by the end of the episode it had turned into Sandy picked Malia. I think it was actually Malia's anchor watch, not that it matters. Wes was the watch before her and she was relieving him was how I read it due to her saying that and the screen captions. Bugs asked him if he was anchor watch while they were in the galley and he said yes until 3. Then after the Bugs and Wes slug shenanigans with the tequila guests it shows Malia getting out of bed and walking through the deserted galley and they caption the screen "2:58am Anchor Watch Shift Change" and she says to Wes "I'm here to relieve you." He then brings up his idea of hanging out without everyone and she says she'd rather sneak around and then they start kissing. ETA: Ha! Looks like more than one of us was posting this at the same time.
  2. "This literally has nothing to do with your looks. You are making out with your boss." -- Max And Max remains my favorite. Malia, this is why you don't shit where you eat. I dealt with something similar once. There was a girl in another department that had all kinds of drama going on. She'd dated and or slept with several guys in the office. Somehow scandalous pictures of her got forwarded around one of the departments in relation to it (I never saw them, just heard about it). One of the guys she was involved with was married and his wife kept calling the office. She wore inappropriate attire to work. There were outbursts and tears and altercations and fleeing the office. Seriously, just all kinds of drama. All of my employees were guys and she'd started flirting with some of them, but as far as I know none of them were ever involved with her. When we had an opening in our department she wanted to transfer and I blocked it. I didn't want her and her drama in my department and I didn't want to manage someone that was so messy at work. A keystone of my departmental rules is "don't do stupid shit that makes it so I have to deal with HR," and it was obvious if she worked for me I'd spend a lot of time dealing with HR. She tried to play it like she got black balled for being a cute female, but it was 100% her messiness. I guess it's kind of the opposite of Malia because this girl's office shenanigans held her back. The charter guests getting bored with the tour guide reminded me of my dad.
  3. She just had pretty major surgery a few weeks before filming. Everyone is different, but in my experience when your body is busy repairing itself from something like that it causes other problems. I had arthroscopic surgery a few years ago. It wasn't as major as a double mastectomy, but I was out of work for 2 months. For about 6 months after surgery my hair was dry and brittle and had a lot more grey and I had dental problems like sore inflamed gums. I can't remember, but I feel like there were some other little nuisances too. I don't know if it was the few weeks of consistent drug use or my body just needing the energy to repair itself, but it all corrected after a few months as I got better..
  4. I believe Peggy said she had a biopsy, they found a little bit of cancer, implying it was early stage and could be treated with a lumpectomy and/or radiation, but since her mother had died of breast cancer at age 51, Peggy opted for the double mastectomy to just get it over and done with and not have to worry about it anymore. My mom similarly had a biopsy that just had a tiny amount of cancer and opted for the lumpectomy. At pne of her check-ups they found more cancer and she had to have a mastectomy. At the year check-up for that they found a separate instance of pre-cancerous cells in the other breast - seriously, it was a separate instance, not just the cancer spreading, which is pretty damn uncommon. At that time she just opted to cut straight to the chase and have the 2nd boob cut off and still wishes she would have just done them both at once at the first sign of cancer rather than trying to save her boobs and making the ordeal longer and with more surgeries and recoveries. So TLDR my mom wishes she initially went the Peggy route. I think he owns this company, but I didn't notice any Cruella DeVille cars on the website, so IDK. Although the gallery is really long and I got tired of scrolling through it. http://giovannawheels.com/
  5. I loved that David made a beeline for Eddie at the party and they joked about the fact that Eddie was of course eating.
  6. I was just a casual watcher last time Lydia was on -- I'd catch an episode here or there. I liked her. Now, not so much. She just seems so fake and put on with her twee trilling cadence, flailing arms, and shimmies. Yeaaaah! I also can't stand her mom and her constant throwing shit at people. Their "look at me, ain't I cute and quirky" flower fairy BS is tiring. I can't imagine being in the same room with the two of them. I might end up liking the new girl, but what's up with all their cars being painted Creulla DeVille style? I want a unicorn party at a beer garden.
  7. No it doesn't have to be, but then all the ridiculous hyperbole about Bugs putting Jason's business at risk is just a bunch of blah blah blah. As another poster stated above, if there was important financial data put at risk, it was Jason that put it at risk by signing in to a shared device with an account that can access it and then on top of that, staying signed in. And I know a lot of posters spent a lot of time in last episode's thread trying to make it seem like a shipboard iPad is the same as an office computer, but it just is not. I have a reasonable idea of who has used/accessed my office computer and a reasonable idea of the security measures in place around it. Even though the amount of people with access to that shipboard iPad is small, I don't know who the person before me was or what they've put on it and I don't trust the fuckwits running the ship to have a reasonable security policy. I'm not saying Bugs was right, but Jason was careless with his data. All the over the top hand wringing is just because people don't like Bugs.
  8. Has it been stated somewhere that his BUSINESS messages were on that iPad?
  9. Trash collection varies by municipality, there isn't one system for the entire state. In the city of Los Angeles, where this show takes place, we have big wheeled bins for our trash, yard waste, and recycling that you wheel down to the curb the night before trash day and the city picks it up (assuming you are in a single family home, duplex, triplex, etc and not a large apartment complex). This is different from NYC where for the most part they do not have the bins and just put bags of trash at the curb.
  10. To me there's not. Somebody reading my stuff is somebody reading my stuff. It probably also factors in that I know or am known to engineers at many of the major SM companies, so that somebody could just as well be somebody I know or that knows me. But in general, I just assume that nothing done online is private and someone is always watching. I usually just don't care because I try not to do embarrassing things in ways that leave a paper trail.
  11. The article linked to in a post on page 1 said it was Facebook Messenger and I took that at face value without turning on my iPad to check (I primarily use Android devices and just have ios stuff for app testing). Upon actually checking, you are right, it does look like the ios Messages app. Regarding Facebook messages, unless a message is encrypted someone with access to the server could read it. Most people probably do not have secret conversations turned on in FB Messenger. While I doubt the average user's messages are being read, they could be either through data breaches or just something as simple as an employee looking. Having managed servers with this kind of data on them, I just assume everything is not secure nor private unless it is explicitly stated. FB data policies also allow them to transfer your data to vendors for various purposes like analytics. So that's more servers your messages could potentially live on and more places they could be exposed.
  12. In my case, I dislike Hannah so much that I just don't care about Bugs wronging her. I'm ambivalent about the possibly invasion of privacy regarding the guest's Facebook messages because I assume in general that Facebook messages are not private.
  13. What Bugs did was wrong, but I just hate Hannah so much that I can't side with her. I have hated her since last season. I hate that she always calls the main salon the saloon (she actually didn't do it this episode, for once), I hate the sound of her voice and the way she talks (I actually enjoy an Australian accent, but for some reason I can't stand hers), I hate that she's bitchy but not in a witty or funny way. I hate that she's petty, gossipy, and a bad boss. I hate the pathetic way she threw herself at everyone last season. I hate how she tries to posture like she's all bad ass, but she's really weak as fuck. I don't even like Kate that much, but Hannah has always just seemed like a cheap Kate imitation to me. I do think she is gorgeous though.
  14. I thought he looked like he as FAS and was saddened by it, but now I'm thinking/hoping that maybe I was wrong and he just looks like Kathryn
  15. I wanted to get fried calamari from that place that's on the right hand side of the main street, but everyone was too hungry and wanted to just get a sit down meal. Maybe they saved me. I think the best thing I had in Italy was salt crusted sea bass in Burano, the fish had just been caught in the lagoon that morning. On topic -- The chef should for sure be cooking fresh and local. There's no beating it.
  16. I'm sure you can find someone that's better than me at making it. I'm a California girl that just decided since I love both shrimp and polenta and grits are kind of like polenta I should investigate this whole shrimp and grits thing and discovered it was delicious. I eat it when get the chance and often that means making it at home because there are not a whole lot of places to get it locally. There's a Creole place up the street that has amazing gumbo, but their grits are boring and bland (their shrimp is pretty good, but I can't eat bland grits). It's a bummer because I'd like easy shrimp and grits access, but does mean there's nothing to distract me from their gumbo. It also means I'm not going broke on having Postmates bring me shrimp and grits every time I'm hungry, so I guess it works out. This is dangerous because more care is usually taken with cross contamination when it is a medical issue. For instance, I recently had a big ol' plate of fresh grilled seafood and was sharing with my brothers who were dumb and ordered pizza (we were in Vernazza and you get the seafood in a fishing village, not the pizza). One is allergic to shellfish, so he couldn't have any just because there were shrimp on the plate and it all probably touched. If he just didn't like the taste or texture of shrimp it wouldn't have mattered that the octopus was sitting on top of it.
  17. That's because that's the saddest sounding shrimp and grits ever. At the very least you need cheese and butter in the grits, garlic with your onions in the shrimp, and a squeeze of lemon to finish everything.
  18. It's been a really long time since I've cried tears, so I'm having trouble remembering, but don't tears fall more from the inner eye?
  19. Well, she's the one that threw the immature tantrum and kicked the door in :) ETA: Maybe Annie is actually the titular Girlboss.
  20. I think were also supposed to think that people were treating her a certain way because she's young and a female, like with the lease situation. But I think the way she presented herself didn't help. She came in yelling and pulled a wad of cash out of her shoe.
  21. Oprah was on some talk show the other day and they showed a clip from this. She is amazing. She 100% becomes the character and no Oprah peeks through. I'm not a giant Oprah fan, but I'll probably watch this just to see her performance.
  22. I am far too lazy to open a new tab and google this, but do you know if that's the kid's real name or just a family nickname? I mean, not that it is a great name for a human either way. I'd just like to believe it isn't that poor kid's real name.
  23. Her face is really lumpy looking when you get a good look :( Are you thinking of Coke Life? That has sugar and stevia. I keep thinking I want to try it and then just sticking to Coke Zero.
  24. I haven't seen any articles saying folks rolled with it. If they did, might it be because Tom is in a position of power owning his company and being a top dog in is field? The higher up and more powerful you get, the more cognizant you need to be of what's appropriate and what's harassment. Also, if Tom doesn't give a shit about what people think of his sexy wife, then why is Ericka so concerned about the the fallout of panygate in relation to those around him, which is what she stated was her big concern in HK.
  25. Not to mention the whole scandal where Tom showed one of Ericka's videos at a bar association function. My guess is plenty of his colleagues were gossiping about her after that. It isn't where the Coke is made, but where it is made for. Some countries have different laws about what is okay to put into products made for human consumption. In So Cal Mexican Coke is readily available and quite popular, but I don't know if it is as easy to find farther from the border. If I'm not remembering incorrectly, Coke is different in the EU and UK too, as are a lot of products.
