  1. I saw a guy online wearing a Bortles jersey, and I was so excited that I knew who it was. That doesn't happen often with me and sports.
  2. That is true. I can see how Meri might have felt more obligated to stay, because she was raised in the lifestyle and thought that was just how it was. Kody wasn't into Polygamy when they got married, so I can kind of see how she thought she was with a monogamist then got the rug pulled out from under her. But April really has no excuse. Other than she would be a single mom with 7 (?) kids. Which I admit is daunting. Especially since she likely has no marketable skills.
  3. I agree. I don't think Mitchum even had a problem with them in season 5, when his dad and Shira were freaking out. I think they were good for each other. I have always been #TeamLogan.
  4. I feel the opposite way. :) I thought Lorelai was just being stubborn not going to her mom about the termite problem. I get she didn't want to go to her parents, but it was their house, and they literally had no other option, other than borrowing from Luke, which she didn't want to do either. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
  5. Sure, but he had already proposed to her. And Mitchum is the Huntsberger with the $$$ and I think he would have been fine with Rory and Logan being together.
  6. Yeah, no, I can't sign on to that. It's none of her business, and it shouldn't have had any affect on Rory's relationship with Christopher. It really bugs me.

    S01.E04: Fall

I just re-watched it this weekend. It wasn't as bad as the first time. I think maybe I had lower expectations? Fall was my favorite episode. Summer was the worst. And I'll really, really never understand why Rory and Logan aren't together. They clearly want to be together. You're in your 30s, just be together already!
  8. So in my current re-watch I'm at the episodes where Rory drops out of Yale. Rory showed up at Luke's and he told her about the engagement. Lorelai then sees Rory doing her community service and pulls over for a confrontation. Like you do. As she's leaving, Rory says, "you hurt me," regarding not telling her about the engagement. Lorelai says, "back at you." Now, how, exactly, did Rory hurt Lorelai? I mean, I get she didn't want Rory to drop out, but that's not really hurtful to her. Yes, Rory went to live with the Gilmores, but Lorelai had essentially decided the Rory wasn't going to live with her in Star's Hollow. I don't think Lorelai's parenting was wrong here; Rory was making a bad decision, and there had to be consequences. But I don't see that Rory's actions hurt Lorelai, really, at least not in the way that not telling her about the engagement hurt Rory. It just bugged me, Lorelai again making everything all about her.
  9. I think I heard her say that, but she sounds to me like someone with a hearing deficit, like when a deaf person speaks. Similar to Marlee Matlin.
  10. I don't disagree with that. But physically, if I saw him on the street (with his dick safely in his pants), I'd find him attractive. :)
  11. No. I think the other wives are pretty. Jeff's second two and Drew's second two. Auralee not as much, but she's still pretty. Ok, weird aside - does anyone else find it odd that Auralee speaks as though she has a hearing problem, and "aural" means having to do with hearing? It's been bugging me since episode 1.
  12. I don't think Jeff is bad looking for an older man. And I think Dimitri is attractive. But he's gross.
  13. She's very pretty and looks age-appropriate for Jeff. It must suck that these guys decide they want additional wives then choose women who are 20 years younger than the original wife. Way to add insult to injury. It's like he just moved on to phase II without bothering to end phase I.
  14. There's a third wife?! Does she have strawberry blonde hair like the other two?
  15. Eww, that potentially opens up a really creepy can of worms, doesn't it? I wonder how old her kids are. I have two teenage sons, and if I told them I was moving them in with strangers so I could become a sister wife, I don't think they'd be very impressed.
  16. I thought maybe she'd had some unfortunate plastic surgery. And I agree, she's shady. That family actually seems ok to me, as far as these families go. The wives seem to genuinely care about each other. I think they should leave well enough alone. Especially since Melina can't have kids; isn't the purpose of all the wives to fill the husband's celestial planet or whatever with children?
  17. Is Drew still a lawyer? Polygamy is illegal, isn't his license at risk for participating in an on-going illegal activity? April is self-absorbed, but I can't blame her. I don't think she really believes in the lifestyle. I feel the same about Meri from SW. She was raised in polygamy, but I firmly believe she thought Kody was the best looking guy she could get and she agreed to the other wives to keep him. Dimitri continues to be gross.
  18. And also originated the role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton. Who also happened to be a Princeton guy. ? I'm re (re re re, etc.) watching and I recently saw the episode where Rory discovers Lorelai had sex with Christopher after her breakup with Luke. Rory was such a brat about it that. It's unfortunate she found out, but she's actually upset as though it's any of her business. Then Lorelai apologized for not telling her! It doesn't matter that Christopher is Rory's father, she has no right to know the details of get mother's sex life.
  19. Amen! That plate of scrambled eggs her daughter brought her at the beginning of the episode was at least a dozen eggs. That's the number of eggs that I make for my family when we have breakfast for dinner. For five people.
  20. One of Lorelai's worst moments, for me, was in Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving, when she learns that Rory applied to colleges other than Harvard. The scene she makes at the dinner table makes me cringe. And the only reason Rory was dead set on Harvard was because Lorelai pounded it into her head from birth, apparently. Something Lorelai seems to conveniently forget whenever she's accusing her parents of being controlling and/or manipulative.
  21. Does Lisa have her tongue pierced? I saw something green in her mouth and thought it might be gum, but at the end I saw it again and it looked like a piercing. I started to speculate why she might have that, but it went to an uncomfortable place, so I stopped.
  22. I'm waiting for Dr Now to tell her he has to amputate her leg.
