  1. Oh well, I think I'm going to stop talking about Luke for now. He isn't the Bachelor and I need the disappointment to subside.
  2. Sorry, anybody going on this show to promote himself would include his craft in almost every conversation and make sure his instrument is not far away. I saw way too much of Luke to think that happened. One of the other guys, I think Wells, said in the beginning Luke pretty much kept to himself. We all know to get camera time (key to self-promotion) on this show means interacting with the other guys and getting involved in drama. If he was indeed talking about his music, singing every chance, or playing his guitar we would have seen this at least once. He even got the date with the country singers and still not even a little slip. I thought the guy was a Texas farmer. Some serious editing must have taken place. I am surprise we saw him at all.
  3. Man, I remember "Love, It Don't Come Easy." That was hilarious. Wasn't it said to be big in Chihuahua or some other place in Mexico.
  4. I am also hoping he will go far. He's surprised me with the career path he's taken, so bring on more surprises.
  5. Maybe Luke was in it to advance his career, but I find it very interesting that he nor anybody else on the Bachelorette ever mentioned that he was a singer. You had to go out and search yourself for that information. His IG had things about his band before he was on the show, so that for me is no proof. Anyway, Nick is the current Bachelor and I am resigned to that. I don't get his appeal just like I never got Jake Pavelka's. I had no problem skipping his season and I think it will be the same with Nick.
  6. When has this ever been done? Women and men have always been asked to apply blindly. On the show you even hear some of them saying "I had hoped it was you." Now producers are asking for women to apply "who are interested in dating Nick." Also, I know for sure women applied thinking Luke was going to be the Bachelor. Luke was on his way to LA to film the intro. The women were already chosen. No, America does not need to see any of these people search for love, which makes someone doing it for the fourth time even worse.
  7. Nobody seems to be asking why this guy, who some of you find attractive, needs to be on TV so badly to find a woman. Does America need to see him search for love a fourth time? Is he really searching for love or has he found a medium to satisfy his attention-seeking?
  8. It seems some of these women are bowing out. Fleiss and Elan have tweeted asking women interested in dating Nick to apply now.
  9. I doubt I can watch a season of Nick. I find him neither interesting nor entertaining. A good number of women auditioned thinking Luke would be the next Bachelor. Poor things.
  10. I was looking forward to watching Luke's search for love. Oh well...
  11. A stepfather still has to be a father. He will be around her girls and will have to play the parental role when real daddy isn't there because he doesn't live with them. Whether stepfather wants to or not he will be a male role model in these kids' lives.
  12. I have no problem with these two either. Evan seems to be more reviled by some people than Chad. I don't get it. He's not ugly, he doesn't strike me as a horrible person, and he owns his own business that provides a great service to men. He's not my type, but he's not some low, disgusting creature.
  13. When did using the word "like" a lot make someone a moron? It is clearly a learned vocalized pause that many Americans use. Are we calling people morons when they use "ahm" too? Seems like a very simplistic way to look at language and people.
  14. Reggiejax, I agree. Way too much time has been wasted on Chad. On the show and on this forum. Many have complained how boring this season was but wasn't it Chad who monopolized most of it? We barely got to know the men or see Jojo interact with them because so much time and energy was focused on this unfunny clown.
  15. I don't know anybody with anger management issues, especially when under the influence of [whatever], who would not hit a woman. Don't think an enraged, violent person will suddenly be overcome with rationality when faced with a female. Many women make this mistake. Some live to regret it and some don't.
  16. I am lost on the adoration some people have for Chad and could not believe there were women in the audience wearing "Chad for Bachelor" or whatever shirts. I admit that I liked that he told JoJo how much her final two sucked, but he has not revealed any truths to me. I know the show that I am watching and I am pretty sure he knew what the show he auditioned for was all about before he went on. He's just an unfunny, unentertaining, attention-seeking pest. He's useless to me and the show should avoid this kind of manufactured drama or it's going to lose it's core, dedicated audience.
  17. I don't think it was insensitive of Luke to create a laid back, fun setting with people who mean a lot to him and see how JoJo fits in. It's not just JoJo who is searching for love. They are both testing each other. Luke even said that he watched Jojo with his sister. He might not have been by her side the whole day but he was paying attention to her. He's methodical. I think JoJo was way into him (not as much as Jordan) until she saw where he was from. Small town living is not for everyone.
  18. All the families were happy so I don't think the producers had anything to do with Luke's family being happy. I think if the dates were reversed and Jordan had gotten the sunset make-out session and Luke had gotten the high school visit where every teacher gushed about him it would still be said that he was getting the bachelor edit. That Luke is the next Bachelor is the dominant rumor and it's influencing a lot of people's thought process. I kinda hope he doesn't take the job because he seems way too earnest and I could see him struggling this episode with throwing around the "I love you." I don't think he takes these things lightly enough to act like he's in love with multiple women, and this show needs that suspense.
  19. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what could have led JoJo to send Luke home so soon. It just doesn't make sense with their connection, so it has to be a good reason outside of that. He was eliminated after the hometown visit, which makes me think it has something to do with that. Luke is from a small country town and JoJo is from big and loud Dallas. She loves to get dressed up, go out, socialize, and drink her wine. Her family is wealthy and she moves in a certain circle. What would she do in Burnet? Luke and his band seem to also travel a lot. Would he leave her at home or take her with him on the road? She would die. She might consider it if it were Jordan, but even then she would run from that lifestyle. She's a big city girl.
  20. Maybe the fact that Luke is booking gigs during what would be Bachelor filming time means he will not be the next Bachelor. Love him but I don't know if he's suited for the role, although it would be interesting to see him have a go at it.
  21. Seems next week will be my last week watching this season. I go when Luke goes. I had already accepted that Jordan was going to get the final rose, but I thought Luke would have been at the end too. The chemistry we've seen with JoJo led me to believe she would have at least taken him to the fantasy suite. Chase I can tolerate, but I cannot watch her with Robby and Jordan. Man, I'm disappointed by this spoiler.
  22. I still like JoJo and think she is quite lovely to look at. Who cares if she gets fat when she's older or after kids? Hopefully the man she has those kids with will continue to love her. Why is putting on a few extra pounds something to try to ridicule someone for? She has a gorgeous body now and could still be gorgeous bigger. I don't expect anything good from douchey men, but when other women join in with them and use their words to try to tear down one of their own, another woman, that's plain disappointing and just sad. Anyway, I hate that the Bachelorette producers haven't put much thought into JoJo's dates. The dates should be designed for her to get to know the men, interact with them. What was the point of that soccer date? Are there any female producers?
  23. Luke has yet to mention he can play an instrument or even carry a tune. If promoting his band was the plan behind coming on the show, he is doing a terrible job. He also seems pretty into JoJo and does not waste his time with her talking about anything but them. Had I not gone and done my own research, I would think he just left the military and is now a farmer.
  24. I know nothing, but Luke's teeth don't seem perfect enough to be veneers.
  25. Luke is my fave, but I cannot see him as the Bachelor. You need to be a bit of an actor to fill that role well and I see Luke struggling with doing that. There are a few guys I find gross on the show: Daniel, the Hipster, the Bachelor Fan, Chad, Robby, Alex, and Jordan. I would not want to be around any of them. They are right up there with Jake Pavelka, whose season was the only one I did not watch an episode of. Anyway, I am loving Luke but not for the Bachelor.
