  1. Oh, I guess I've never seen a Scooby Doo episode specifically themed around an amusement park. Then again, I didn't watch it a lot as a kid. I dislike all of the characters except for Velma.
  2. I still don't get the "get out of my amusement park" ghost.
  3. I can't believe no one has mentioned the conversation between Holt and Amy where she fakes being angry, which sounded like a couple talking about faking orgasms. I did not expect them to use a joke like that with these two characters, but I thought it was hilarious.
  4. @Sarah D. Bunting, thank you for being candid about your own struggles with anxiety and speaking out to those of us who are also struggling.
  5. I was familiar with this story already, and I thought this was pretty good. I will say that I think they really overdid it in trying to convey how evil Dee Dee was. It was almost comical. 1) Am I really supposed to take this nephew character seriously? 2) Mentions of witchcraft and owning a tarantula as evidence of evil. *rolls eyes* I found her dad's feelings towards her to be the most compelling part of that narrative.
  6. I said the same on the cologne. And my grandfather used to wear that torso cologne, which feels weird to me. Tickle Me Elmo is a *great* answer! Very clever. I also said Golden Pole (although I considered Golden Pasties), and for once, I agree with the judges on not accepting the match with Pole Dancer. We are really in sync. I said Joints but agree that Stoners is better.
  7. I was thinking that too. Even if they couldn't give out her number, maybe they could call her and just explain what happened and give her his number. Then it's totally in her hands.
  8. I'm out of the loop. What's this debacle you speak of?
  9. I thought it was Joe Reid, since this has been in use since Mark 1.
  10. GOB Bluth. I mean, he took 4 years of Spanish and lived with a Spanish-language soap actress--he must know the language pretty well.
  11. Another note about Casting JonBenet, the house they show isn't the actual Ramsey house. It's a house in Denver. (I have a friend who works for the local government and saw the filming permit come through.) I have no idea why they chose a different house. Anybody can drive past the real one in Boulder any time.
  12. I actually feel the opposite about Torchwood. I like seasons 1 & 2 but despise season 3. I stopped watching after that. Yep, Doctor Who was my first thought for this. There are other examples for either end, but mine are "Blink" and "Love and Monsters".
  13. @David T. Cole Hope the medical tests next week go well and it's nothing to worry about. Sending good vibes your way.
  14. I thought the point was less about what actors thought and more about the fact that these were people local to the area. But I still wasn't crazy about it.
  15. Anybody else watch Casting JonBenet on Netflix yet?
  16. I'm a longtime forums lurker, but I just discovered this thread. I just added 4 podcasts to my app thanks to you all. :) I do love My Favorite Murder. I was a fan of Karen before the podcast, so it really works for me. Really excited to see them live in a few months! Agree with you all about Last Podcast on the Left. Ugh...
  17. I can't believe I didn't think of bra. You're right that it's the definitive answer. And like others here, I can't believe they didn't count bush as a match. It seems like the judges are really inconsistent about when different euphemisms match and when they don't. Agree about the waffles. Waffles are waffles. Put syrup on them. I thought she'd get at least 4 matches with syrup.
  18. There's a roller derby ref in my area named Lauren Order.
  19. No matter what I do, I can't get this episode to show up in my Podcasts app. Anyone else having this problem?
  20. Metamucil is a fiber supplement; Ensure is a meal replacement/nutritional shake (kind of like SlimFast, but without the weight loss aspect). I was torn between both of those, but I also thought about prune juice and Mylanta. Too many good options.
  21. For the Bill Clinton question, I came up with "Chief of Staff". I thought the pun on "staff" was clever, but I wouldn't have expected to get any matches.
  22. That game time was hard but fun. Dave, I loved your clues for Sandra Oh(!) and Stephanie Beatriz.
  23. You, my friend, have great taste. It should come as no surprise that the 3 shows I quote most often are my 3 favorite shows in the history of television.
  24. 30 Rock: "I want to go to there" and "working on my night cheese" any time I eat cheese. Arrested Development: "What a fun, sexy time for you" as spoken by George Michael and "Hey, brother", which I'll say to almost anyone (I don't have a brother). Sometimes I'll switch it out with "Hey, possible nephew." Parks & Rec: Whenever my roommate says anything in Spanish-- "If you ever speak to me in Spanish, please use the formal 'usted'." And I frequently do Jean-Ralphio's raps from "The Fight". "R to the O to the N N N. I say Swanson's got swagger the size of Big Ben clock." Also, anytime I'm at all sick-- "Everything hurts and I'm dying." And when I'm feeling lazy-- "I don't want to do things. I want to not do things."
  25. I'd love to see a woman and/or person of color. I haven't seen Idris Elba do much comedy/lighter things, but he would be a dream. Gemma Chan too. If it has to be another white man, Arthur Darvill or Colin Morgan would be great.
