  1. I was watching an ep the other day ("The Inheritance") and they said the Ingalls farm was 3 miles from the Oleson's store. Of course, this show is not know for its consistency.
  2. That is some real bottom-of-the-barrel scraping there!
  3. Two Part Series Finale! The horde led by Troy surrounds the walls of PADRE. Madison and her people must fight for their survival to save what remains. As the series comes to an end, the fate of PADRE's survivors seems to rest in the hands of an unexpected hero. Airs Sunday, November 19 on AMC and AMC+.
  4. Madison makes a discovery that could lead her to the answers she seeks. Airs Sunday, November 12 on AMC and AMC+.
  5. I thought it was pretty mediocre. I never thought the Ottos were remotely interesting, so seeing the psycho little brother back doesn't make me excited. I'll say it was an improvement over the entire season 7 and the last half of this season. Seeing Strand back is ok. A lot of hard-to-believe or at least unlikely things that I'm not even interested in going into here. I'll ride out the rest of the series, but I won't be sad to see it go. So much weaker than Daryl or even Dead City.
  6. Charles is at his literally preachiest at the end of "Gold Country."
  7. Seriously, the whole thing with the husband's late wife and her mean friends happened in the first episode, which was only about a month ago, but I only have the vaguest recollection. Kim Kardashian is the only person who really stands out, and that says a lot.
  8. Well, this is different. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/man-convicted-murdering-wife-claiming-164759095.html For those of you who don't want to click, the headline is "Man Convicted of Murdering Wife for Refusing to Appear “Zombie House Renovations” Reality TV Show"
  9. I'll definitely watch it if it's 6-8 episodes. I watched the trailer (without sound) and it looks like typical Alien stuff with teenagers. ETA: no, this is a movie. There's also a TV series on Hulu coming out.
  10. I'm more likely to go to shows in places called "theatre" or "hall" versus places called "arena." The fees are ridiculous in those big places and the experience is better in a small venue, IMO. P.S.: Subway is ok, but I liked Blimpies.
  11. Mid-season finale. Anna senses the dark presence closing in on her, closer than ever. Ms. Preecher reveals pieces of her past and may know the truth about what's happening to Anna and Dex. Airs Wednesday, October 18th.
  12. Definitely the best content this IP has put out in a long time. Better than Dead City IMO. A few clichés of the genre, sure. The acting performances, even from Reedus, were well-above what we've seen from this franchise. ETA: unlike a good chunk of the fandom, I am not that thrilled to see Carol back.
  13. Dwight and Sherry confront the demons of their past to secure a better future for themselves. Airs Sunday, November 5 on AMC and AMC+.
  14. The search for gas leads to an unexpected reunion that Madison uses as an opportunity. Airs Sunday, October 29 on AMC and AMC+.
  15. Strand fights to protect his new life when it’s threatened by the arrival of an old friend. Airs Sunday, October 22 on AMC and AMC+.
  16. They're now calling it The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon — The Book of Carol: Endgame (but not the Avengers one.)
  17. I think I might only watch the Orlando episodes. Episodes for the other teams are just generic rehab/flip shows.
  18. She was ok in the opening scene because she was supposed to be stoic and wooden, which is her wheelhouse. If she had to play a 2x4, she'd win an Oscar. The Ashley/Ashleigh characters were terrible. I don't think Leslie Grossman is much better an actress than Billie Lourde. But of course, the plot is advancing now that they're going to the mid-season finale next week. I hope there's not another 5-6 episodes of Emma Roberts walking around frightened and vomiting blood.
  19. https://deadline.com/2023/10/the-walking-dead-the-ones-who-live-new-trailer-new-york-comic-con-1235571698/ We have a premiere date and a cast! Mild spoilers in the link above.
  20. You and I and probably a lot of other people on this thread are hoping for this. I'd really like it all tied together somehow. I thought World Beyond would do some of that, but other than that scene, it was kind of a dud. Sometimes I feel they're stringing us along.
  21. Well, I live in NYC, so I guess that helps. In the early 90s I was on my college radio station, so we got a lot of tickets and backstage passes, so I met some early "alternative" bands. In the late 90s I worked in a photo shop in midtown Manhattan, and I met a few medium-level celebrities who lived nearby. Other than that, I'm just as dull as everybody else.
  22. With help from Siobhan, a major announcement helps restore Anna's public image. Behind closed doors however, something powerful seems to be taking over. Airs Wednesday, October 11th.
