  1. I haven't liked Brittany the entire season for illogical reasons, but I like her design the best. Laurence and Bishme made dominatrix outfits. And I don't know what Rami made.
  2. Dallas tonight. The furniture in that first lake house was, um, interesting. As in, a big old hell no. There's no need to take the theme that far. However I suspect that was an Air BnB and not a primary residence. Hence the theme.
  3. I agree. I went to Catholic school and church as a child, where we ate Jesus!
  4. One of my friends wanted her two adult sons to move back home and live with her and her husband forever. She cried and said she would give anything to have them go back to being babies again. She said they didn't have to work or go to school, just please come home. She was delighted when one of her sons broke up with his girlfriend and asked to move back home. Never mind that he was devastated, SHE was ecstatic. Then he and the girlfriend made up and she was back to crying. Very odd. Those episodes always have me scratching my head. Like the one where the woman was going on and on about what her son would want in a house despite the fact he'd moved out a couple of years before. And completely disregarding what her husband would want.
  5. Me too. I lived in the dorm for freshman and sophomore years. My son did freshman and junior year in the dorm. And even though my son's school was only about 35 minutes from home he didn't come home much and pretty much never came home to spend a weekend. He was all about that on campus life. And we were very close (still are although he's married now). Topic? I missed a few episodes and need to catch up.
  6. Those poor innocent children (and thanks to their POS parents, probably not that innocent any longer). Some kids really draw the short stick in life and it totally sucks.
  7. I think it's great her parents paid the down payment for her. If I could have done that for my son I would have. But she shouldn't be going on about how she did this home purchase all on her own because she didn't. And I don't know if the boyfriend is paying rent but I would hope so.
  8. Brittany gets praised and put in the top for pants that were very similar to what got Korto kicked off last episode.
  9. 100%. I too could easily afford a mortgage payment if someone else paid the down payment and I didn't have to pay them back.
  10. My hair will do what Elaine's did with only a few minutes of teasing. But I do not and would never shellac it with a grease product. I mean, I did once on accident but never did it again.
  11. That's where I get frustrated. I've politely corrected certain people several times and they still call me by the wrong name. Or they address me by the wrong name on email replies despite my actual name being right there in my email signature. At some point it's deliberate. I actually stopped volunteering at an organization because the volunteer coordinator persisted in deliberately calling me by the wrong name despite me correcting her SEVEN times. But no way were they going to keep Korto after she called them out for their inconsistent judging.
  12. My name is constantly mispronounced. It's spelled exactly as it should be pronounced but people always want to substitute a more common variant of my name. It's extremely frustrating because I just don't see what's so difficult about it. Even when my name is on my email signature people will reply to the email using the wrong name. However, I don't know how people are supposed to know the "r" in Korto is basically silent. It's not like the second "e" in "Laurence" being silent. Although I presume Laurence has had problems with people presuming she's male before they meet her in person.
  13. I thought of a riff on a secretary or librarian (not a porn version lol) for modest/sexy. They are required to dress modestly but are also regarded as very sexy. I would have thrown on some glasses, had the hair pulled up into a loose chignon and had the model wear pumps. Then done a blouse and skirt with some va-va-voom in a sultry color. Yikes, that does sound porn-y, doesn't it. I liked Korto's pants but thought the jacket needed to be more fitted to offset the very wide pant leg. And I don't mind her deadpan personality, but she did need to stop worrying about what the other contestants were doing. Although I do suspect many of her comments were in response to producer prodding.
  14. I thought it was funny when they said they had to come in with an aggressive offer because there had been a lot of interest and offers, and their final purchase price was...$5k over asking. My brother had to go about $35k over asking to get his house. $5k is what, a couple dollars a month added to the mortgage payment?
  15. Whenever I see Laurence and Korto I can hear my mother's voice..."would it KILL you to smile once in a while?"
  16. I agree that without the jacket Kara Saun 's look was very pretty
  17. I think Laurence says some of the things many of us are thinking (but only in relation to herself). However, that doesn't bode well in a competition that these people are judging! I mean, how far would we go if we said everything we're privately thinking to our bosses? It appeared to me that Anna was not into what that dude was trying to get going with her at the drinking party. Also funny how forlorn he looked the next day, like he expected her to be delighted to see him. And let's face it, the producers were fervently hoping there'd be hookups. It would have meant DRAMA!!
  18. Echoing what others already said. If I found out a family member saved me by sacrificing my child my first act would be to beat the crap out of them. A parent does not value their own life over their child's and Stupid Samuel should know this. And besides, most grandparents adore and spoil their grandchildren. Apparently not Stupid Samuel. I love Mitch Pileggi but this character sucks.
  19. It bugged me that the judges exclaimed to Anna "you only had five hours!" No, she didn't. She squandered the entire first day because she refused to pay attention when Korto told her she would need to rinse the denim after bleaching it. Then she (disingenuously) claimed she "didn't know" it would have to be rinsed. Maybe she thought Korto was lying to get her kicked off or something. But no, she didn't only have five hours. Lies!
  20. Well, who didn't see that coming.
  21. I found it interesting that a 15 year old would be so gung ho to move midway through high school. Usually teens are sullen and miserable if they have to leave their friends and make new ones. He seemed like a nice kid and I didn't get vibes that he'd been bullied or treated like an outcast, so that was puzzling to me. I did like radio announcer guy. My son is also six feet gazillion so he has the same issues with showers, doorways, ceiling fans, etc.
  22. Some women want everyone to know they're pregnant so they can get praise or attention. Like those shirts that used to be all the rage in the 1980s and 1990s that said "Baby" with an arrow pointing down 🙄 Or maybe she just loves the way she looks pregnant 🤷‍♀️
  23. I love the way Jensen can communicate a thought or feeling with subtlety. He took a bite of the pizza even though he didn't really want to and with just a slight movement of his eyebrows conveyed the pizza was, in fact, good.
  24. I really like the purple dress the sister/agent was wearing during the first house tour in tonight's episode.
